Tell Catholic Bishop to Let Vicki Kennedy Speak ACTION

Society & Culture  (tags: women, politics, religion, Catholics, Kennedy, College )

Bishops have consistently remained silent when conservative figures like John Boehner, Antonin Scalia, and George W. Bush are honored by Catholic institutions despite flouting church teaching on war, the death penalty, torture, and other issues.

The Catholic Church needs extreme regime change. Like most religious institutions, it profits from the suffering of its followers and thus, has much to gain by inflicting a dogma upon its followers designed to maximize their suffering. Free your minds. Tax the churches. Better still, strip them for firewood. The only good church is the one that has been redefined for some other use such as a food bank or a homeless shelter. Religion is the enemy of all humanity.

Looks like the Catholic Church only listens to conservative Republicans. The church has been mired in corruption and evil for so long it is no longer a viable leader of the catholic people. 'm Not Catholic but any church that moves child molesters around and tries to hide them is not very trustworthy.

Women following church leaders need to 'wake up.' They are abused by churches as much by the neo-cons in govt. Yikes.

Why would she want to speak at such a place? It's the Catholics who disagree with their theology but continue to support them that are at fault. If they would pull out, maybe the Catholic higher ups would reconsider their stance on so many of their policies...and start doing some real getting rid of pedophile priests and reconsidering their vow of celibacy which seems to be one of their biggest problems, among other things.

Time for all sincere Catholics who don't supinely accept idiotic Vatican dictates, to LEAVE the Vatican Catholic Church -- let the Church SPLIT. The Vatican Church has NO MORAL AUTHORITY whatsoever.

Who would WANT to be a part of this Cabal of drooling, half-witted or no-witted, pedophilia-encouraging-and-covering-up dinosaurs?
One cannot think of a single reason anybody sane would WANT to keep a connection with this travesty. Even if it is a long "tradition" in one's family or country or ethnic group.

The Vatican Church is WAY beyond "saving". It is hopeless. Don't gloss it over. Hopeless.

Vicki needs to video an address to the school and let it go viral. These archaic, self-righteous, anti christian acting, hypocritical, politically driven morons need to be over rode. I completely believe in the Creator but having anyone tell me how, when and why I have to live or who I trust to follow is sure NOT in my nature. From my lifetime experience ALL structured religion is corrupted and only teach their patronage to follow and be brainwashed by "their" intolerant beliefs of others. GOD FORBID if you have beliefs that differ. Religious leaders do not want ANYONE to think for themselves, least THEY become irrelevent, which is how I feel about them any way.

signed. I have no respect for the Catholic church-period. Thank God (My God-not yours) I am not Catholic. If she wants to speak, and has something worth saying-let her. Although I believe in God (mine, not yours)and am not an atheist, nor agnostic, but amazes me that intelligent people believe in virgin birth, yada yada, yada. but I guess people wonder how I can accept conspiracy theories either. One thing though, my beliefs about 9/11 I don't "enforce" on others as the pro-lifers, nor would my ideas ever "become into law". There becomes the differance.

The Catholic Church has one main goal, and one main goal, only.
That is, to protect its future wealth, through POWER & CONTROL.
Everything else is secondary.
