You have to respect yourself, before, you can respect others.
It's all aout education.

Humans are predators of the highest order, unlike animals, humans always need some form of entertainment, either for good but moreso for bad. We hunt, kill, rape, torture, abuse, neglect, abduct, you name it. Most of these activities have come forth out of how one was raised. If we could somehow adapt more as to how animals care for their offspring, many kids would not be in so much trouble, not then and not now.

However, being a realist as well, the way animals kill based only on pure necessity in order to survive, people at times must do the same for the same reason. I read recently that more and more states are abolishing the death penalty, I find that to be a mistake in my humble opinion, this will only result in more crimes as the criminal knows that he/she will survive this regardless. We seem to find that killing another human being for whatever reason is considered inhumane but killing animals of whatever species is ok as we do so by the billions, totally ignoring the fact that animals can and have taught us how to care for one another from birth and beyond.
