"first do no harm" do so hope that physicians remember this important part of their medical oath! The big pharma/fkcs do everything and anything to sway physicians opinions or put a "correction" in their thinking.
Con/Agra is NO different, they also spend millions on lobbyist etc.... Do so hope that physicians do the right by the populace and not the fucorporations!

The public has an ABSOLUTE RIGHT to total transparency when it comes to food labels. This should not be negotiable!!!

Lets hope they are truly for "doing no harm". Kinda hard when a lobbyist is buying you dinner.

GMO has been in the food supply for at least 15 years now. More research needs to be done to study what the consequences thus far have been.

It's irresponsible for the AMA to NOT support labeling genetically engineered foods! Was happy to sign this petition and note this article. Thanks, Nancy!

Noted, but petition is for US citizens only, which is a shame as US products come to the UK and we'd like to know what is really in them!

It should be a consumer right to know what is & is not in our food. Since more pressure needs to be put on the FDA, perhaps the AMA who helps care for our bodies & minds will take a positive stance to ensure that we remain healthy & help reduce the cost of medical care.

I should hope so American Medical Association will support labeling GMO.I wonder if Hospitals serve their patients GMO,? If I get sick I'll ask the doctor if the the food is laced with GMO.The FDA and USDA are trying to convince Americans to eat this garbage, but European Nations have block it from entering their land.I'm growing my own produce for now on.Forget these failed agencies.(O_O)

Noted, tweeted, signed, tweeted, shared, commented. The good doctors might stand up for this; there aren't as many of them on the payrolls of the food corporations, and they aren't running for office so they won't need political contributions.

GMO's should not be PERIOD . There is no common sense to it. The only possible reasoning would be genocide.

Well I think the AMA jumping on the band wagon, for all that endorsement is not worth considering that less than 20% of the Practicing Doctors in the USA are actually members of the AMA, faces the same problem that it does with me jumping on the wagon. Requiring GMO labeling particularly for the AMA requires absolute scientific proof, that can and has been replicated, that proves that GMO products directly cause medical conditions and diseases and that so far does not exist. Consider this; if a GMO rice is discovered that allows for prolonged flooding with out crop lose and is then replicated through cross breeding is it a GMO or not. This is not hypothetical it has been done with rice and other grains, which leads to the question just exactly how many GMOs are GMO just because it is cheaper and easier than the Old Fashioned Genetic Modification method of cross and in-breeding that takes years to decades. Not to mention the question, just how many of those problems associated with GMO products are actually caused or potentiated by other things ranging from industrial pollution to car exhaust to over use and abuse of perscription and over-the-counter drugs.
