The pain staking care of conservationists, and people who work in archaeology are truly remarkable. I don't think I would have the patience, and sheer self control for such work.

thank-you Nancy. Fun. [should get this to the rt. wing nuts-- they seem to have some of their information wrong.]

Congratulations!

You’ve collected fourteen stars!
But did you know that in 1814 U.S. flags had fifteen stars?

If you take another look at the Star Spangled Banner, you’ll see that there’s a big hole where the fifteenth star should be.
So where is that fifteenth star?

We know that in the 1800s Louisa Armistead—who owned the flag for many years—cut out the fifteenth star and gave it to someone to honor them.

What we don’t know is who it was given to, or when, or where it is now.

There have been many rumors of its whereabouts throughout the years, but we’ve never gotten a credible lead.

If you find it, let us know!

Seems to me we have to fight to regain the freedoms our forefathers entrusted to us.

My generation tried to overcome the establishment. A lot of us sold out. I did not.

We must regain our freedoms to pass them on to our children and our grandchildren.

If our forefathers had known what would happen to their children's children's children, I wonder how they would have guarded our constitutional freedoms?

I had fun, got all 14, and both saved and printed the certificate. Do I get anything extra for flagging the spammer?
