My nephwe Niles worked at this movie theater...He was only slightly injured..He was grazed by a bullet on his left temple...I must say that the emotional damage is far worse though... My brother said Niles will be released from the hospital in a few days.....My love, heart and prayers goes out to all the victims !!!!!

Amen to that. I went to that theater when I lived there. Isn't it time to abandon the prime-time TV notion that heroes should use guns to solve problems?

I wonder how Rush feels after having made a stupid, controversial and highly partisan suggestion that one of the evil characters (named "Bane") was being used by Hollywood liberals as a metaphor for Bain Capital. It's ironic that the shootings occurred at the premiere of the movie...

This is an absolute tragedy, and my heart is breaking for the victims and their loved ones. I listened to former Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell being interviewed on MSNBC late this morning. What a brave and brilliant man! Our federal government could use him as a consultant on the gun control issue. He didn't seem to lean too far in either direction in terms of "for" or "against," but he DID lean very heavily toward using common sense and passing gun legislation that could meet people's needs without allowing any Tom, Dick or Harry to acquire assault weapons. Let's face it: we need to bring good, old-fashioned common sense back into our system of government and stop letting laws be paid for by the highest bidder.

My prayers and condolences goes out to these victims and families who have to experience such tragedy. This was at a theater where families could enjoy seeing a movie, being safe. instead it turns out to be a nightmare. Not only they have experienced this massacre, those people will also need help emotionally. You could see when a mother was interviewed how she broke down in tears. Imagine how her child will also feel and if they ever want to go to a movie theater again. This has even affected me, it is heartbreaking to see that this has happened. So what now, is security guards going to be posted at theaters?

The gun lovers (NRA) will once again pay off Congress to stop any legislation that controls the sale of guns. Pathetic, but true. They do not see the dangers that exist and never will so I don't give a fig about them either.
There are too many automatic, assault weapons in the hands of irresponsible and mentally disturbed people and somehow, someone needs to step in and stop this insanity.

I for one will be waiting to hear what, if any, psychiatric drugs he was on when he did this heinous act. Coupled with all the black box warnings of effect that can accompany these drugs such as violence, psychosis, and suicidal ideation makes for a recipe for disaster.
As for the NRA, extrapolating their ideas about the necessity of more and bigger guns, everyone should wear full body armor in the U.S. and drive tanks to work.
