In the aftermath of the Aurora, Colorado shootings, both candidates made moving statements that echoed the sympathy we're all feeling. But words of condolence are not enough. The time has come for meaningful action.

Thank you Nancy for posting this article. This issue needs to be kept in the forefront of voter's minds and they need to vote for representatives who will take action to reduce this madness. Get guns out of the hands of those who might use them. The Second Amendment's prescription for a militia is not a right for individuals to have assault rifles or automatic weapons.

Signed and noted. Why is it that America can't see that countries that have strict gun laws have less crimes involving shootings.?... How could it possibll be logical to think that everyone allowed to carry guns is going to make a safe society?? It is sheer madness! Why can't the US follow the example of Canada? Is there any logical reason why not?

The government should have woken up a long time before this tragedy. People kill-guns don't, but that being said, the laws concerning guns should be stringent. Any lunatic can buy a gun and we all know the stake the NRA has in this.

Definitely signed. Thanks Nancy.

HELP SPREAD THE WORD.
To make sure the candidates hear this urgent message, we need more people to speak up too. Please ask your friends and family to join you today.

It is true that guns don't kill, people do, but most times it is people WITH guns that kill which is all the more reason there needs to be swift and firm action taken. Don't even get me started on why there should be a ban on high powered, military style assault rifles. Why in the world would an average "Joe Blow in the first row" need to have those?

Petition signed.

One plan would be to outlaw the NRA.
Another plan would be to halt production of guns being made in USA.
Another would be to close down all gun shops in USA.

Ty, Nancy.

I signed but remember if it is a crime to carry a gun,
only criminals will have guns.

I signed to get a PLAN not to disarm our citizens.
