Yes, some companies are making efforts to get the BPA out of their products, but how long have they, knowingly, been making their own customers sick--from the very young to the very old!!This is simply criminal!
Thanks Nancy--noted, signed, shared on fb.

It's disgusting that for years people thought they were consuming safely with bottled water and canned goods, when all the while they were being slowly poisoned.

I do my best to buy "whole foods" but unless i start canning my own tomatoes i need to depend on industrially canned products. I need some regulatory agency to step up and protect "We The People".

Oh – I am sure I am going to be ripped for saying this. I am in manufacturing here in the US (a dying industry here) and we do our best to manufacture safe reliable products. We get our products certified by the required ANSI Standards; allow audits of our facility several times annually in order to ensure our products are made consistently and reliably. We undergo annual retesting in order to make sure that our products continue to be manufactured according to and in compliance of these national and international standards.

All of that being said, we still have to label our products as “may contain chemicals known to be cancerous” due to laws such as Prop 65 in California. We have undergone annual testing to make sure that the product meets all regulatory needs (actually… is WELL BELOW all regulatory requirements!) and yet – due to these laws like Prop 65 – have to label the product.
Believe it or not, most manufacturers are not “out to get the human population”. Most manufacturers are looking to do the right thing in order to ensure that they will be around for a long time and be able to provide for their family. Sure there are a few bad apples.

Be careful of the laws we look our government to enact. Frequently these laws are enacted in order to allow a government official to tout what they have done for the betterment of society. However frequently this only leads to increased product costs to the consumer, and “white wash” of Cautionary text that ends up getting ignored more often than not.
