“Health is a human necessity; health is a human right” ― James Lenhart

“Of all the forms of inequality, injustice in health care is the most shocking and inhumane.” ― Martin Luther King Jr.

"For it is an absurdity to call a country civilized in which a decent and industrious man, laboriously mastering a trade which is valuble and necessary to the common weal, has no assurance that it will sustain him while he stands ready to practice it, or keep him out of the poorhouse when illness or age makes him idle.". — H.L. Mencken

Thank you for our birthday eCard to Medicare and Medicaid. Gladly signed, in fact I'd like to see Universal Health Care. As good as these programs are, there are still far too many people who suffer with no health care at all or very limited health care policies.

signed. Next week I turn 65...yay!!! I have been treading water with no medical insurance for years. Even though this dips into my SSI , at least it is one less worry. If the Repubs try to take it away, you can bet I'll be one of those gray headed old lady terrorists in tennis shoes throwing fits (and maybe a few well aimed rocks). What happened to the Gray Panthers anyway???

I am Gray PANTHER, god forbid if the FUBLICANS take it away from us! I personally thank medicare and medical because without it my mom who has dementia would truly be in a true mess. I took care of her for two years, but after her having two minor cerebral strokes, a year apart I could not give her the 24/7 care she needs! Happy birthday and thank each and everyone who made it possible!

Were it not for Medicaid, I'd be a lot worse off than I am. I am disabled, and poor. Still, I do what I can to help others and the environment. Plus, I'm grateful to be around for my new grand daughter.

Noted & signed. TY, Nancy! Just call me one of millions of Allan Simpson's public cow teat suckers. I depend on the benefits that were promised to me; &for which I paid, at least, in part. God bless our forward thinking forefathers for enacting these programs that sustain life. We owe it to our children to pass it on to them........
