I read about this earlier, and it appears that this child should not be proecuted, even under Pakistan's strict laws. Signed. thanks Nancy.

One of the more glaring examples of why religion not only counterproductive in the modern world; it's downright toxic.

Signed and noted... a hard line in any society that seeks to bend its citizens to its will without any thought of the consequences ultimately spells disaster. As Michela says... COMPASSION! Any society without it is not worth respect.

Noted and signed. Surely a God of any religion would have compassion for a disable child; and so should its followers!

Gladly signed and noted! How can anyone hold an 11-year old child with Down's Syndrome responsible for her actions? They're not even sure if she was responsible! The only "blasphemy" I see here is on the part of those who accused her, imprisoned her, and beat both she and her mother.

Mob violence is too scarey... The whole thing a tragedy. Extremism is so terribly horrific that I want to run for the hills sometimes and hide from the hunters........... and they are not just in Pakistan !!

I signed but honestly I doubt if they will care anything about what I think or feel on the issue. But I will at least sign to voice my objection, poor child.

Most definitely signed. I doubt our signatures and opinions will amount to a hill of beans with them, but at least we know that we took a stand and made our voices heard against the way that young girl is being treated. Thanks Nancy.

How does one even begin to deal with an irrational government such as this?I guess the Quran has no acceptance, or forgiveness regardless of the situation.
