As many of you know Im a big advocate for all animals. Im a strict vegan and haven't eaten meat in over 15 years, but for those who do eat meat I would hope they do thier research and at least eat meat that is humane.

I have always trusted the Humane Society, and a monthly donation is automatically received. I received a phone call from them this week, telling me my credit card was declined the past 3 months. THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE. I tried to explain over and over and over that it was a banking glitch and I would take care of it ASAP. She BULLIED me to take care of it now. I was unable as I had to speak with the bank AND WAS WORKING ON A very important C2 cause. I was as respectful as can be and she was as rude as can be. I actually apologized for getting a bit 'frustrayed' when the fact was I WAS ANGRY AS HELL. If I read the news correctly about the HSUS SLAUGHTER...my Heart is Broken. The "loopholes" and dishonesty regarding everything these days makes me ASHAMED OF MY SPECIES. Is there no humanity?
I became a veggie 44 1/2 years ago (fish and dairy only) ~ vegan over 2 decades. I don't judge people by their choice, but I know I have touched many people, by example of my eating habits. Many people only eat veggies while we dine. My father thought he was eating egg salad, while it was tofu and veginese (sp) The last 5 years of his life he didn't eat any meat whatsoever! Leading by example has much more power than trying to explain to someone the horrors of eating meat. Sorry for getting WAY off track.

We take over wildlife's territory, We throw our pets aside when they're either to old or just don't want them anymore and just dump them on the street or throw from vehicles... The Human Race has NO RESPECT FOR NOTHING....

I do not give money to either HSUS or PETA. I will sign their petitions, but that's it. I think both of these groups have agendas that don't primarily benefit animals in the way I think they should. I did not know about FARM. I will now reconsider my support of that organization.

The CCF is a rich and powerful lobby group who makes their money from FACTORY FARMS, PUPPY MILLS, alcohol, tobacco, restaurants, etc. They discredit groups like PETA, HSUS-even MADD! Why? Because the CCF makes their money off of the pain, suffering, and deaths of animals!!

The article states: "Mr. Maxwell, whose HSUS salary is paid for by people who think their donations are helping animals, is in fact responsible for the death of thousands of sentient individuals each year, most of them pigs whom he claims on his web site are "raised like children." I wonder how donors feel about that!

What a lying, greedy, heartless, con artist! We've all seen videos of the life of a pig or the last hour of a pig's life. If that's how he treated his children, he'd be in prison or six feet under. GREED brings out the very worst in people.

Regardless of who runs that site I have lost faith in the HSUS, PETA, and ASPCA. Itseems that when an organizaton gets too big it loses its way. I support some of their causes but I will never again give them money.

HAPPY meat??? Is that a joke??? No, it's our sad reality ... Happy meat from happy animals, who where really happy when they were killed??? Happy cow-meat for the western world and happy dog-meat in Asia??? Is that the food that makes us happy???

So, what's the real deal here? Is humanemyth.org a legitimate animal welfare group or not? i have cancelled my monthly donation to ASPCA months ago over the Quick Kill Bill. And I will not be renewing it until Ed Sayres is no longer its leader. Has Farm Sanctuary also lost its way??? HSUS will most likely not be receiving any donation from me either. I hope someone knowledgeable will reply to this post. A lot of true animal welfare advocates would like to help but with leaders like these, how can we trust any of them out there? Does anyone know of a group that truly helps animals????

The main reason I don't give to the HSUS is the endless letters requesting donations, with notepads and keychains- for TWO YEARS- each and every time I return the envelope with a request to stop sending me mail. They have probably wasted 20-30 dollars on postage and trinkets for 2 years- money that could have gone to help an animal. Yeah, yeah, you gotta spend some money to make some money- but the obscene waste of funds is what infuriates me.

I support HSUS with a donation every year. I think they do good work. They are becoming more vocal and a lot of people hear their roar and think they are PETA. I disagree with Christine Stewart. I don't like being asked for money all the time either, but I do donate from one of there plea's for donations. I give to 14 animal charities and each month is a different charity. I would rather these organizations ask for money via email than by mail so the cost of paper and a stamp goes back to help the animals. Besides, think of all the trees we are saving.
