News: Monsanto, pesticide Companies have now spent more than $19 million to kill Prop. 37 http://www.naturalnews.com/037273_Proposition_37_Monsanto_corporations.html
The most evil corporation in the world, Monsanto, has forked over another $2.89 million to kill Proposition 37, the historic bill that, if passed, will require genetically-modified (GM) foods & food ingredients to be labeled at the retail level in California.
Combined with its other recent contributions of more than $4.2 million (http://www.naturalnews.com), Monsanto has now officially shelled out a total of more than $7.1 million to prevent consumers from knowing the truth about what is really contained in the foods they buy.
Along with Monsanto's latest contributions were similar contributions by the other five of the "Big Six" pesticide firms: DuPont, Bayer, Dow, BASF, & Syngenta -- which together gave more than $2.6 million to the No on 37 campaign as part of their most recent contributions. To date, the "Big Six" have collectively contributed nearly $20 million to keep Californians in the dark about GMOs.

And yet the average American continues to blindly consume mass quantities of junk and prepared "food" laced with GMOs. The proverbial sheep led to the slaughter ... and the sad thing is, many of them don't care.

we don't even know the extent of the damage Monsanto is causing, this was just one study. The health risks go far beyond merely eating processed foods. We are surrounded by the results of Monsanto's gmo experiements, it is in the pollen blowing in the air - how does that affect people's lungs? It is in our soil, in our water. Even people who don't eat processed foods or corn based products are getting cancer at higher rates than in past. I have lost a number of friends who ate healthy, organic vegetarian, were non smokers etc. but who developed cancer anyway. We can't avoid this stuff no matter how superior we think our life style is.

I read an article yesterday that attempts to rebut this study, claiming it was done with skewed materials; preconceived conclusions and incorrect data. Personally, I think anything with Roundup in it is just bad for yah. Even the farmers who had the GMO crops foisted on them under the IMF mandate state that they are now very unhappy with those GMOs.
If you don't know what the IMF mandate was for developing nations here it is in a nutshell: Foment unrest in desired country by any means and stabilize it with a regime that will do your bidding. Offer them graduated monetary loans that they will not be able to repay; putting the country into a position of unsupportable debt which will destroy the middle class and create a rich minority ruling over a majority of wage slaves held in corporatist servitude. Destroy the will of the people by devaluing or ceasing all forms of health care; hospital care; education and other social services including rationing food or making it so expensive the masses can't afford it. Abscond with all crop seeds from the country's supply so that farmers can't grow local crops but have to import GMOs which they have to buy at inflated prices. When the graduated loans come to term offer to extend the graduated loan for another term for a larger controlling interest of said nation's resources until you own the country and can dictate what its foreign and economic policies will be. I
nstall the government that you want that will do the will of the Elitists behind the WCB and the IMF; both of which I might add were created by the USA. This is what the American people are now being faced with: graduated austerity economics as dictated by Milton Friedman back in the sixties. Globalism may be dead but its bastard monster son is alive and well in Corporatism which is what really rules this world. Open your eyes people; you're about to be Pinocheted.

Case# 1292
Seems, some sorry censored pitiful censored CENSORED (or, possibly though not likely at all: some strange unexplicable phenomenon) has aaAaaaaaaaaggggain been very busy deleting my comment(s), unless, of course, they disappeared magicallly. Kind of a very-well-established habit meanwhile. There is something EXTREMELY ROTTEN in care2 ...

And isn't it .. errr shall we say: fascinatingly remarkable, how (very targeted) someone/thing/whatever here @care2 keeps, for years now --per-sis-tent-ly-- deleting (some) comments (of some users), WHEREAS --in appalling sharp contrast-- care2 has not even managed to delete spam postings when the spammer's profile gets deleted ?

what I find most disturbing about this hole issue is the fact that humans (with the exception of young children of course) can chose what foods they stuff in their mouths, it's up to the adults/guardians to find out about it's safety, and not depend on, or trust the' nanny state'.They really should know better by now then to trust politicians!
However it's the poor defenseless, voiceless Animals I have the most concern for, they have NO choice, as this killer crap is forced on them, and oh my god are they made to suffer!
Animals generally know what's good for them to eat or not, and it's been proved they'd avoid GM shit if given the choice. That in it's self is proof enough for me.
