Ask Whole Foods to Respect Consumers' Right to Know About GMOs ACTION

Is it any wonder that Whole Foods hasn't given any money to Proposition 37, the California ballot initiative to label genetically engineered foods? They're just not ready to give up the money they're making selling Monsanto's GMOs.

Noted. Signed. Food should be clearly labeled. I would add that yes, we do need GMO products labeled, but we also need to ensure that the organic label is firmly defined by that consumers get what they think they are getting. The key word is "firmly," as too many corporations are breaking the spirit of the definition while still within the fuzzy edges of the meaning.

signed. Whole Foods is a place to be SEEN in. Not shop in. High prices, fancy environment, pathetic GMO policy. Imagine if they REALLY were for the consumer! A mega giant like this could do a great deal of good in the world...if they really gave a rat's tail.

In a thread I came across yesterday about Rachel Carson and her book "Silent Spring," I noticed that Monsanto has been around for quite some time. How is it that they've gotten away with MURDER for such a long time? They must have some highly-motivated backers behind them --to the detriment of everyone on this planet.

Gladly signed and noted! Thanks, Nancy!

This is a lesson for us all. Just because there are some corporations that have branded themselves as green, that doesn't make them anything other than corporations...nor does it actually make them green. Watchdog groups need to verify every single claim that big business, whether it's Walmart or Whole Foods, make.

We need to ask Whole Foods to lower their prices or we might as well all go to Walmart. Both are evil corporate entities; both sell overhyped crap; Whole Foods, however, has the nerve to want your Whole Paycheck.
