Signed~Ty Nancy.

This is a bogus issue. Like many boomers. . .we new adjustments would be needed now. I began following studies in 2004 addressing changes needed to transition into "boomer time." Several studies included surveying the American citizenry. The major majority [65 to 80+ percent depending on the study] said they would be willing to pay in MORE...NO PROBLEM. All that is needed are the logistics for doing so in the most timely and effective manner. s The GAMES need to stop. There is NO budget crisis. . .there is NO Social Security or Medicare Crisis. . .there is a maniacal marketing NEED 4 GREED crisis and it needs to be addressed immediately.

As you know, the large deficit that we are now experiencing was primarily caused during the Bush years by two unpaid for wars, huge tax breaks for the rich and a prescription drug program written by the insurance and drug companies. Further, as a result of the greed, recklessness and illegal behavior on Wall Street which drove us into this terrible recession, revenue at 15.2 percent of GDP is the lowest in 60 years.

Signed & Noted. Thanks, Nancy. Bernie Sanders is one of the very few Senators who puts his money where his mouth is and stands for his constituents....wish we had 100 Bernie's in the Senate.

As Elle B. said, 'This is a bogus issue'/ a sham.
This is an attempt to PRIVATIZE social security and medicare, in order to further enrich the already, wealthy.
How many of you are gullible enough to believe that these social programs, in the hands of private business, would benefit you?
Do we have government corruption? Yes
Do we have government siphoning of monies intended for other purposes? Yes

The pertinent point is, we CAN ELECT OTHER GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS. That is our right.
We CANNOT REMOVE HEADS OF CORPORATIONS, who overcharge and cheat us.
As we have seen, not only do they get away with murder(?), they get bonuses for doing so.

Why is the military budget seldom mention for cuts. It's always social security and medicare. Even President Obama, who first recommended the deficit commission seldom mention the military for cuts. Here are the facts. The US annual military budget is $711 billion a year. The next country China spends$141 billion a year. The country Russia spends $71 billion a year. the US spends forty percent of the top ten countries in the world. If we cut our budget %50 we will be at $355 billion a year and twice as much as the next country, China. This information can found on Wikipedia.

Why everytime there is a crisis or its election time Social Security & Medicare and Senior Services are threatened?

Why can't they threaten something else, zero in on something else, who has the time to do something about it. Leave the Seniors & Disabled alone. STOP IT.

Why don't you go after the Career Welfare recipients, who still can work, but the benefits are just to good to let go. Rental Assistance, Energy Assistance, Free Cellphones, and misc.food stamps, Welfare checks $$$, programs, you have made some of them so comfortable, they will continue to do it. The benefits are so good that Obama doubled the takers. Pick on them, the non-workers instead of the Senior who have put in their time???

We should dismantle PPACA and keep Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid until we get a proper non-government system to supercede them. SoSec is in trouble because Congress keeps using it as a slush fund; Medicare/Medicaid is not a cherry picker fund to be tossed into the PPACA monster!
