Forgive My Deceased Son's Student Loan ACTION

Business  (tags: corporate, nct, aes, corruption, money, student loans, death )

When he went to college to study music production, I was happy to cosign his student loans -- he dreamt of making a better life for himself and I wanted to help him do that. But then Jermaine died suddenly in 2009 at just 24 years old.

This is a nightmare--horrible, cold, crass and cruel--what I suppose the AES would call "good business"!
Gladly signed, noted and shared on fb.
Thanks Nancy.

I'm surprised the loan didn't come with an obligatory insurance policy to cover sad situations like this.

There have been similar articles in the past. Banks, and lending institutions could care less.

Hate it that it's on Change.org, which is now on the Dark Side, but too important not to sign.

As sad as such cases are, it has to be remembered, that we actually live in the REAL WORLD, not some mythical fairy tale, happy ever after wonderland.
The ONLY WAY to avoid crap like this happening again and again and again, is to live totally within your means, even if that means struggling to get by. Do not take out credit or loans of any sort, be they for education, a new car or washing machine, a holiday or this weeks groceries. If you cannot afford it, don't have it.
