Tell Congress that service women who are survivors of rape or incest deserve the same reproductive health coverage as the civilians they defend.

It's a shame/disgrace that this has to be a topic to begin with but at least there are those that are doing all they can for these women. I'm just happy/proud that we can each be a part of those efforts by signing such petitions.

Signed !

I've signed this petition more than once, and have gotten the same reply each time from Mike Johanns: "I am opposed to using taxpayer dollars for abortions."

My rebuttal question, on the last two petitions: "How do you feel about using taxpayer dollars for rapists? Because if the rapist is in the military, that is what you're doing."

No reply on that one, or on the comment: "That could be your next campaign slogan: MIKE JOHANNS FOR RAPISTS." Yes, I'm getting nasty. I've even gone to his Facebook page and posted there.

Hey, he's a big boy, he can take it.

Gee, Nancy, I signed but I am really sure that some where, some time I have heard that Women should not be in the Military, oh wait that was about Jews, no, no I remember it was about blacks, no, no I am sure it was Gays. Oh, Hell this is the same Theo-fascist crap that comes out of the Repug-Christian Taliban of America when our 'Good Christian Warriors' are endangered by being forced into the 21st Century and the US Military is also forced to stop carrying the Cross and Banners of the Crusades before the troops.

Our military needs women to enlist. Not treating them as equal, is not the way to go.

Quite frankly, I can't help wondering why anyone would enlist in the armed services, in this day and age.
Wars are fought _BY_ the lower and middle classes, losing lives and limbs.
Wars are fought _FOR_ the wealthy. With every war, Big Business makes tons and tons of money.
We are the pawns for their success, whether the war is won or lost.

By the way, there was a time when enlisting was the patriotic thing to do.
However, at this time in our evolution, patriotism is what the wealthy tell us it is, and that's a shame.

If you can enlist during times of peace, and get an education, then, there could be a good reason for joining. Otherwise, I have my doubts, why so many unfortunate young U.S.A. people, believe they are contributing to the safety of our country.
