Congress is working on a deal to balance the budget right now. They need to hear that you want them to find savings by cutting nuclear weapons before a deal is done.

I signed all kinds of petitions and wrote e-mails and made calls. DC usually does what they want to do and we seem to be at their mercy. Other than the authorities, the members of OCCUPY have been quite peaceful but people will take only so much. I remember the civil rights movement and the only time the politicians got scared is when there was burning and rioting.

The GOP in Congress are looking where to make cuts in all the wrong places as far as the public goes and they need to be told to get it right ..make cuts that aren't to insure future suffering to citizens that was the GOP's fault to begin with. Blaming the victims and making us pay for their doings..that just isn't going to get it now. It's us or their jobs one...and there are way more of us..together we can get the obstructionist back on track working for the people...all the people and not just their special corporate interest or be ready to exit D.C. their next elections. Mid term they will be our focus big time and they best wake up to that now.
You are right Janice, we will only take so much and personally I think the people are at that point now. Warning D.C...maybe impeachment before MidTermElections is something for us to think about for those corporate lap dogs who think cuts in society needs while giving corporate welfare handouts right and left are the way for them to keep going..but they are wrong if they think the people are going to stand still for another year much less four more of their corporate free for all with our tax dollars, believing that the people will just keep paying for their insaniTea. They have the people to the edge of the cliff so it's time to turn and let them know if anyone going over the edge it will be them. As Trump and Romney say.......You're Fired ...now hit the road GOP !

Cuts in society's needs, Jae? Are you kidding me? Society's needs is the largest bill the country has and it was pulsing. Entitlements need to be cut and fast.

I can't believe that Americans want to cut our defense budget , nuclear weapons, etc. Well, if they do hopefully they'll provide all of us with little white flags to wave when when our country is attacked using weapons of mass destruction. You people are a trip.

Signed. I really believe the world should rid itself of nuclear weapons but this will never happen and we know it.

Congress is working on a deal to balance the budget right now, and we need to make sure they include cuts to nuclear weapons. Thank you again for adding your voice.

With 12,070 nuclear warheads in its arsenal, the U.S. certainly doesn't need to add any more. They target strategic sites, so how many would it actually take to incapacitate or destroy one's enemy? I always thought that nuclear warheads served as a deterrent. If a nuclear war actually occurred, there would be no winners.

Gladly signed and noted!
