Interesting web & info.Check video -in the photo of a boy- They have a program that I tkink is called All for Children. There says it is a unique five-year project between H&M and UNICEF.
http://about.hm.com/content/hm/AboutSection/en/About/Sustainability/Commitments/Use-Resources-Responsibly/Raw-Materials/Cotton.html
This is painful, what would UNICEF say about this?

Related and interesting. As India is a major producer and exporter of cotton, a suppier, I am adding Tree Hugger Web . Inside you could find info related to GM and monsanto like, India to label GM products in 2013!!! And the recommended 10 year ban to gm crop there!
http://www.treehugger.com/environmental-policy/scientific-panel-recommends-10-year-ban-gm-crop-trials-india.html

In 2010 H&M Caught in Organic Cotton Fraud.

I was speculating the other day...."What causes some of us to work so hard as activists?"

Of course, there are many reasons possible: A good question does not have only one answer.

Here's one of the answers I consider most probable.

Some of us are so empathetic we make the pain our own.
We just want the pain to stop.

Ok. I can accept that and what courage it does take to face the pain when we are so empathetic.

So, why do some people cause the pain? A study was done of serial killers. Each one researched had a nightmare of a childhood. The executioner was also researched. He also had a childhood of pain.

Therefore, is it possible that sadists want to be the givers of pain rather than the receivers? Are they trying to exteriorize the pain and it's continued effects with which they still live?

And then there are other activists who endured the unendurable as a child. We actively try to stop the pain.
What courage it takes to willingly deal with pain we feel in empathy which restimulates our own pain from which we have never fully recovered.

Perhaps we need to give greater protection to the children.

Signed & twittered. Grow hemp - it is a much more friendly crop that uses much less water, pesticides and fertillizers. The yield is prolific. Cotton is hard on the environment it grows in. It is a big contributor to water loss in any region it grows.

When will some groups of "people" wake up and realize that the most important natural resources are it's living beings? Humans, of course, but the animals too.
Of course money must be made (I like money too), but work doesn't need to be a slave/cruelty issue.
The world seems to be getting greedier and crueler, and at the same time dirtier and more poisoned--what a damned shame!
