If approved, the Monsanto Protection Act would force the USDA to allow continued planting of any GMO crop under court review, essentially giving backdoor approval for any new genetically engineered crops that could be potentially harmful to human health-

Monsanto one of the world's worst multinational
Monsanto - Agrochemicals group Pharmacia
Half of its annual revenue (34 thousand billion) comes from the production of herbicide, synthetic hormones and genetically modified seeds. The rest comes from the pharmacy.
It 's the third largest producer in the world of pesticides and controls 10% of the world market. And 'one of the largest companies in the world in the production of genetically modified (capable of withstanding the same herbicides produced by Monsanto).
In 1997, the United States, paid a fine of 50 thousand dollars for misleading advertising. He defined the herbicide Roundup a product "biodegradable and environmentally friendly."
Again in 1997, at the climate conference in Kyoto, the multinational has been pushing for the conference is not inserisse HFCs (hydro fluoro carbons, hazardous substances because they contribute significantly to the greenhouse effect) between the gas to be reduced.
In 1999 she was accused of abuse of dominant position in the field of biotechnology.
Also in 1999, she was sued because used to test its products on animals.

Signed and noted. Why is it other country's leader's cared enough for the health and welfare of the people they represent that they banned gmos and many of the pesticides sold by Monsanto and their ilk but ours could care less? Guess too many of ours prefer the double money dip-their government pay and their "gifts" from Monsanto, etc. And they wonder why so few have any faith in the government and why many are choosing to move out of the US. If I had the money I would have already moved out.

"Congress should not be meddling with the judicial review process based solely on the special interest of a handful of companies."

This is true. But it is also the practice of politics in America today. Whoever has the most money wins. Whoever has the most money gets preferential treatment. Whoever has the most money has their voice heard first and last. Nauseating, at best, immoral certainly. We should be much better than this. We were once, I hope we will be again one day. Can't be soon enough for me.

I regard Monsanto as an out-of-control corporate monster which must be stopped to ensure the health of the American people, their lands and food supply. Special interest groups like Monsanto must be put in their place and not permitted to continue to foul our farms and foods!

Expecting 'morals' from Monsanto, is fruitless.
It's up to us, to elect the proper legislators.

Our government needs to work for us and not big business. Monsanto has its own agenda, and that is money. They are a chemical company and care little for mankind and our environment.
