Noted and WOULD sign, but being in Aussie, I couldn't sign this one. I quite often CAN sign your American peititions but this one was stubborn! I honestly think that having so few women in governments and in positions of political power is the one thing that has stood between us and a peaceful world. I know that there are millions of wonderful men in the world, but wars are normally driven by testosterone and not estogen! Women tend to be better negotiators and would sit round the table and work out how to compromise rather than imediately think guns and bombs and power and fighting! That makes this issue such a vital one. At the moment the numbers of women in politics is small, as they have to be rather 'masculine' women, normally to obtain any sort of position of power in a man's world, but if the law was made such that more women MUST be in government, then we may see more women who will bring empathy and compassion a deper understaind into onto the table and they may well be able to pour oil on troubled waters!
