Solitary confinement is the slow erasure of who you thought you were. You think you are still you, but you have no real way of knowing. How can you know if you have no one to reflect you back to yourself? Would I know if I was going crazy?

Wow. Amazing story. I'm not sure I would have done as well at surviving as they did.

I would not buy the book I think it should the profit should go to taxpayers
It annoys me the trouble these kicksters cause
People risking their lives for a purpose interest me
Anyway thanks Nancy for drawing our attention to these pillocks

WTF is your problem? These people were not causing trouble. They did not do anything wrong, and ended up as hostages. I think their book is worth reading.

Great article by Shane Bauer of his years in confinement in Iran. Countries without real borders caan cause havoc and jail for hikers. Thanks God they were released with Sarah's help and her families.
