The study examined expected power demand growth, wind and solar output, required transmission upgrades, emissions, the value of wind and solar versus conventional baseload, and operational costs, among other factors.

... yeah, it could even reach 30.33 % by 2036, and friendly aliens from omphiuchi-17b could land here sunday afternoon. A gridcrash before 2035, however, is (probably way) more probable.

We should be way ahead but Many in Congress want oil because they get funded by it. Paul Ryan will not support renewables but supports oil, Christy wants to get electric dealerships out of New Jersey. Republicans want oil have a love affair with oil because they get all kinds of cash from them. We all have to vote for people for this country and not their pocketbooks. California does things right. What is this love affair with oil the killer, we need to get going or we all will perish.

30% seemed very low to me. I hope they surprise themselves with an above average of 50% to 60% or even more, depending on progress in technology.

Well, despite demographics, folkws just aren't turning out for mid-term elections to put a representational foundation for their lives. So America is , by default , dropping off to the right.....darkness.

Thank-you, Nancy. Seeing that “big business" is investigating sustainable energy development seems to me a backhanded confirmation of Global Frying. And, Ben O. thanks for the information about Denmark and the link. and

Even considering all these challenges, the PJM renewables outlook shows that the transition to a clean energy system isn’t only possible, but it is likely to come with economic and environmental benefits.
