I could not sign. It would only print capitol letters. My email address is all small letters. It would not accept this.

I tried again and again. I went out and then came back in. Still only capital letters.

As you see, it is now printing also small letters.

I kept trying but without success.

My sympathies are with the victims not the perpetrators.

Signed and Noted. TY Nancy. We must find away to carry out executions humanely. There have been about 140 persons on death row found later to be innocent. Executions must be reserved for crimes of torture against children and the elderly and serial killers with absolute proof the convicted committed the crime. Otherwise give them life with no possibility of parole. The state spends in excess of 2 million dollars with appeals for the death penalty. Also we need to stop privatizing the running of prisons. Jerry Brown CA Gov. allowed privatizing our prisons. It is wrong just as using private contractors instead of our military to fight our wars.

Happily signed but it doesn't go near far enough. The death penalty is not fit to be administered by imperfect human beings anywhere, at any time. Life without parole is a harsher sentence, in my opinion, for even the most heinous of crimes. Vengeance isn't a proper outcome of justice, it lowers us all to the level of the criminal. A lifetime safely locked away from the rest of us to contemplate one's actions is sufficient. Lest we become what they are.

Then, too, it doesn't go far enough in that nothing that accursed state does should be allowed. It is one of the most anti-women, minorities, LGBT and elderly states in the union. I wonder every time a monster tornado hits it why Pat Robertson isn't reminding them that it is God's wrath falling on them for their actions. I guess God only hates non fascists in Pat's world. In my world though, I'll never buy a thing made in Oklahoma, knowingly nor spend a cent in or near it. And, one of my own personal dreams is that the Women's College World series be moved to a state that actually appreciates the contributions women make to our world.

Certainly signed. I suggest those who live in the USA go to the interactive map and find out if your State still has the death penalty. By clicking onto the State it will bring you to more information and maybe even a petition just for that State to stop the death penalty or how to join with others to abolish it.

Thanks for this Nancy. I have signed anad noted. It is very horrible to think how many totally innocent people might have been put to death by the death penalty. I don't really see how anyone calling themselves "Christian" could be for this as it is just not our job to kill another hunan being. There again, I don't believe in war eiither as that is just another form of murder. The last case we heard of the other day in our hews where a man had been put to death by lethal injection and it took about half an hour or more of hinm wirthing in agony before he finally died of a heart attack is nothing short of an act of torture. Imean there are so many ways of making someone die peacefully and instantaenously that I can ony think it must have been an act of sheer retritbution by some cruel person. If anyone killed my children or a family mlemeber, I would FEEL lilke killing them, but the reality is, that most of us do NOT want to be guilty of murder, eveni n those circumstances. Society needs to find a very different way of dealing with people who commit heinouscreims.
