Noted and shared Thanks for posting Nancy My father fought in World WarII although he never spoke of it we as very young Kids visited the cennitaft every Nov.11 to pay our respects. My family from both grandfathers right down to all of my uncles were all military.

Many say the roots of every war since derive from WWI, how country lines were imposed at the end of it and how harshly the allies treated Germany; thus it is so very important to remember this history to strive to avoid repeating those mistakes we should have learned from. Thanks Nancy.

When we were in second grade a boy brought a book of WWI photos to school. I hated them. One of my favorite books in Animals in War by Jilly Cooper. You can't imagine how many species were engaged in wars. There were so many heroes amongst them.

there is also a national geographic article with fascinating pictures of the underground cities/bases/camps that were built during the war......
