"We must be more than just witnesses here, we must demand to be used for what we know," he said. "The people in those conference rooms don't know as much as they think they do. If they did, they wouldn't be in this situation."

Many apologies Nancy if I have missed this, though I have read through it twice (albeit rather fast) - but I couldn't see where it said there was a petition to sign or action to take - it seemed to just say that we should take better care of these activists (and indeed we all should) who are being tortured and murdered when all they are trying to do is to protect the environment.... but what action should we take?!

We, in the so called "Developed" countries should really be ashamed of ourselves!

It's past time for other governments to recoginze that indigenous people are the keepers of the forest.
Fully punish the murders of these activists and protectors of the enviroment.
Why is this let go on? Greed is the only answer

Noted and shared on twittersphere

"At the U.N.'s latest climate talks, indigenous tribes showed again that they're frontline allies in the climate fight. So why aren't we protecting them?"

Probably because the contemporary modern politician and power possessor considers himself and herself to be far superior to the indigenous peoples.
