CANADIANS COMPLETELY UNAWARE OF LOOMING NORTH AMERICAN UNION
In just over a month’s time, on August 20, the most powerful president in the world will be arriving in Montebello, Quebec for a two-day conference. President George W. Bush will be meeting with Stephen Harper and their Mexican counterpart, Felipe Calderon. So far, the silence from the Canadian and American media has been deafening.
Talk to 90% of people on the street and they won’t know about this upcoming conference, and if by a slim chance they do, they won’t know the purpose of the meeting or why the leaders of Canada, United States and Mexico are meeting in the dog days of summer under what amounts to a veil of secrecy.

So, what’s this upcoming conference all about, and why are the newspapers, radio and television keeping silent about it?

The purpose of the upcoming conference is to ratify the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America, which was initiated by Bush, Martin and Fox in 2005 in Waco, Texas. Essentially, this so-called ‘partnership’ will result in what the politicians refer to as ‘continental integration’-newspeak for a North American Union- and basically a harmonization of 100’s of regulations, policies and laws.

In layman’s terms, it means that once this ‘partnership’ has been ratified which is a fait accompli; we will be following in the footsteps of the European Union. It will mean that Canada will become part of the North American Union by 2010, and that our resources, agricultural, health and environment issues, to name a few, will be controlled not by Canada, but by the government of the North American Union.

A huge ‘NAFTA’ highway, one quarter of a mile wide, is already being built in Texas, where private land is being expropriated, and will eventually reach the Manitoba border.

Water will be the ‘issue’ of this century, as more than 25 states in the U.S. are currently in desperate need. Where do you think they will get the water they need?

The United States is already guaranteed 60% of our natural gas resources from NAFTA, which mean that even during emergencies when we need energy, we will have to import it, while we are forced to export gas to the U.S. This is just one example of how Canada is being shortchanged, and it’s only going to get worse.

Why has there been absolutely NO public consultation on the biggest issue (North American Union) facing Canadians since Confederation? Why isn’t Guy Lauzon, our local MP for Stormont, Dundas and South Glengarry, holding town hall meetings, bringing in cabinet ministers and explaining how the emerging North American Union will affect our Canadian way of life? Ask the citizens of Canada for their feedback. Isn’t that how democracy is supposed to work?

Folks, I suggest that Mr. Lauzon isn’t even aware of the SPP or the North American Union, which explains why the Conservative government has denied all Canadians information to which they are entitled. If he does have something to say about it, then let him raise the issue in our riding.

Furthermore, the example of the North American Union illustrates that our government claims to be democratic, but in fact, does it act like one, or does it prefer to make the big decisions at committee level behind closed doors, while masking its real intentions?

Many people may not like Lou Dobbs but he exposed the plans for a North American Union quite same time ago. Just this week he spoke about the planned meeting between the Canadian, Mexican & US leaders to discuss a northern american superhighway. This is why I have no doubt that I35W will be rebuilt quick and in a hurry.

In another generation and under different leadership the concept of a North American Union might not be so bad. But I would not wish Bush/Cheney and their corporate sponsors at Haliburton and the big oil companies on anyone. The fact they all three governments is doing this behind the backs of the people that they are supposed to be representing is reprehensible. All they see is the exploitation of cheap labor in mexican, natural resources in Canada and money to be made. The public needs to be made aware of this.

Unfortunately I had been aware of this "hidden agenda" and still scratch my head as to why the Bush regime and many government representatives have no problem wasting billions of Americans tax dollars to "support and defend" our southern boarder through phony immigration scare tactics and the NSA. The paradox is utterly ridiculous and should be publicly denounced with a roar of all citizens of each nation. Regan's famous words, "Take Down These Walls" still ring loudly in my mind and lines drawn on maps only cause division among people of all nations. Unity is a good thing, as long as politics plays no part. After all, we are ALL in this wonderful thing called Life - together!

Obviously since they are going ahead with this in almost complete secrecy, we all know that no good can come of it. If it were good for anyone other than those in power, (U.S. neocons), etc., this would be done right out front ~ they would make sure we all knew, (if that 's what they wanted.) Unfortunately, there seems to be no stopping the ill-gotten power of this adminstration. And, just what are the underlying ramifications of all of this? I don't know if I disagree with this North American Union, is it any different than Canada having a prime Minister.. and then a premier in each province, or the United States having one president and then Govenors in each state?
is this possibly the beginning of a united world?..I know it opens up a lot of discussions..but in the long run..might it not be an opportunity for the enlightenment of the entire human race?
a country functions on shared resources..why can't a continent or even the entire planet?..once a countries ego is out of the equation, wouldn't most of the worlds problems come to an end?

I'm kind of with Mathew on this. I really don't know what to think yet one way or another. On the one hand a unified people could be good. Maybe then we could stop squabbling over yours or mine. It would be ours and then maybe we can work on some serious issues like the environment and things that effect all of us. On the other hand I have this terribly creepy feeling that I'm about to get assimilated by the Borg and have any trace of individuality squeezed right out of me.

Debunking the North American Union Conspiracy Theory

Again -- as with the insidious absurdity, distraction and counterproductive-nature of nine-eleven "truth" (read: junk science and shoddy research) -- this is just another wild-eyed conspiracy theory.

I hasten to add that the number of Care2 folks who affirmatively and gullibly sign on to these kind of fantasies is scary. I would even go so far as to say terrifying. You are not doing anyone any favors by pursuing these kinds of fictional, delusional dead ends. Least of all Care2 or yourselves for that matter.

As the proverbial real-life sh*t hits the fan in earnest -- and there is more than enough to be seriously concerned and worried about without need of science fiction, fantasy and wild-eyed speculation -- we are going to need level heads rooted in harsh reality. I am not sanguine in light of ever increasing numbers taking extended vacations from reality.

First to address some of the commenrts made:

The entire border issue was a smokescreen so that citizens would not suspect the real agenda and look to what was happening behind the scenes. If there is ever a border wall it will not be built to keep people out, but rather to keep us all in. It would become another "iron curtain" and much more than the Berlin Wall. It would isolate us from the rest of the world and maintain a strict control over the people and resources inside that wall.

Whether or not such a physical wall is ever built, what has been happening is far more insideous as it has created a climate of fear and distrust that keeps us demonizing "illegal aliens" and doubting each other, maintaining an effective divide between us all so that we are unlikely to unite effectively to either stop the SPP or the war...or actualize the impeachment of the current administration and the potential overthrow of the present government.

Aaron Russo spoke of the effectiveness of polarization. Well it is not only applied to the political scene. It has become a deeply entrenched aspect of our society and culture and is rooted in fear.

There is no wall that can be built by physical hands, more effective that the walls we have permitted to be erected in our minds and hearts.

This agenda of Empire is not a form of globalization that will benefit the people or the land. It is all for the profit of the shadow government; the small group of wealthy elite that actually rule every government in the world.

This will never be the ideal of global unity that could heal. It will be a mass global slavery that will create a sharp divide in a markedly segregated society, where the elite have all the priviledge and the rest of us are their slaves.

All of our resources are open season and rather than effectively deal with climate change in the most rational and helpful ways, the plan is to sacrifice long term consequences for short term gain...own all of the oil fields of the world and to keep the corporate machine running for as long as money can be made from the current trajectory.

Water will be more valuable than gold as drought and pollution make clean drinkable water an increasingly rare commodity. There have been hidden battles for water resources for many years. Hanne Strong ( partner to Maurice Strong - who organized the Earth Summits ) purchased land in Colorado that she intended to utilize as a refuge for many through violent earth changes. She invited the people of Tibet, the Hopi and others who had lost their homes, to make their new home on her land. Beneath her land lay the most extensive underground water resource (pure spring water) and she has had many confrontations with government authorities who wanted to invade her property and tap into her reserves. The Hopi were wisely advising her not to give in and they sat while her as she conducted her numerous protest vigils. So far she has won each battle.

The Blue Planet Project is part of The Council of Canadians and it deals exclusively with water concerns. Believe me, Canadians are well aware of the situation and Canada is in general more aware than America of what is happening in the world. That is reflected in the differences in news broadcasting...not as extensive a blackout as in America.

Canada's government has already given the USA unlimited access to its water and as the prairies and Alberta languish in drought, their best drinking water is being carried south through extensive underground aquaducts.

Rather than proceed further, it is most likely most valuable to give you links to other articles so that you can review the situation in its entirety and see that the SPP is only a small part of a carefully orchestrated plan to take over the world.

The greedy lustful gaze of those behind the Empire, know no boundaries and if you even review the articles I submitted by Arundhati Roy, it will reveal much of what is hidden.

Hi David E. with ZERO friends. Thanks for confirming that the North American Union is as true as 9/11. That's what we all are saying here. Your comments are typical of the debunkers, nothing but propaganda. 9/11 was in fact a conspiracy by the government. The conservatives crying out "conspiracy theory nuts" are the same genuises that tried to convience scientists that the world was created in 7 days, with Adam and Eve and that the Earth is 7000 years old. The same guys that said that dinosaur bones were put on Earth to trick the unbelievers. You input is noted for what it is, unnoteworthy.

A true union of the people, by the people and for the people, will not be payng homage to the cruel corporate masters that are enslaving us all and actually destroying individual lives of the "majority" and our environment under the pretext of security and prosperity.

It will come from grassroots movements that refuse to support imperialism and the twisted agenda of empire and come together to solve our shared problems as one planetary family.

Any real solution will be to the benefit of all and will enhance individual and collective quality of life and address the environmental crisis as one of the top ten issues.

The existing NATFTA is only exacerbating global warming, environmental degradation, poverty, a crisis in health care, education and human rights.

A movement by the people, will have an entirely different focus...and there is no place for racism and "othering" at this meeting of hearts and minds.

Let us not only make room for any from Mexico who need refuge and new opportunity in Canada or the USA, let us also bring the over 60 million homeless Iraqis here and offer them a new life and any other refugees created by our illegal wars.

Nothing can ever be wrong with opening the doors to help those in need. Only good can come of it.

Nine, believe me i am not the lone ranger. There are a lot of people that think exactly as i do about this problem that we have. My grandparents immigrated to here from Poland and Germany and my stepmother is Columbian i have no problem with peoples from other countries immigrating here legally. When people come here and want to take over and force us to make concessions for their religion and their language i have a major problem with that. When they come here and join the almighty welfare state that we have become, force us to change our school system to accomodate spanish as a second language then i have an even bigger problem. I am passed the point of raising my own children and now have three grand children and i am paying for private schools because i refuse to let them attend public schools because there so bad now and overcrowd because of illegal aliens who dont know how to speak english. That you think that i am hard heartedness doesnt bother me at all and i will continue in what i believe as i no you will and i respect your views even though they are different from my but i will never coin you as something you are probably not since i dont you and cant make an educated view of you from the 21 words that you wrote to me. That i am trying to protect my daughter and grand children for what ever the future holds should not be looked down on me by you because you dont know me other then what i have written here and nothing else.

Well it seems that a few here have fallen for the corporate agenda of divide and concour .
As long as we are fighting amoung ourselves we won't be paying attention to what is really going on in our countries .
This has worked for corporate America for years setting up the class wars we have today,,the middle class blaming the poor for their high taxes ect.instead of placing the blame where it really lays our out of control big government run by the big corporations and the military machine.

There is a propaganda machine working out there set up to quiet those who are awake ,,we have just heard from one.
Don't waste your time David we are awake and will not ever fall asleep again !
Call us unpatriotic or whatever you want,, all your insults will just make us stronger .

I have one two questions for you Kevin .How do you know that those children in the public school are illigal aliens ,,did they tell you they didn't have a green card ? God I hate assumptions ! Second question .When your parents came herefrom Poland and Germany what language did they speak and who taught them english was it the American public schools ?
Spanish and French have been taught in the public schools since i was in school and lets see I am going to be 63 in October so that was quite a long time ago .
When things are wrong in society some people always look for someone to blame who is less powerful than themselves ,,the poor ,,the immigrants ,,never the the real cause and effect.

Now that was weird my previous post is up.
BTW yesterday after visiting this site and recieving an email from a Republican with pictures he said a Canadian friend sent him of Muslims he says protested in London carrying signs Kill all Americans who insult Islam ,,I suddenly got a virus on my pc that is now quaranteened ,,I am not sure whether I received it on this site or in that email but I wanted you to be aware and make sure you have good virus protection on your pc.

Linda you are absolutely right Spanish and french were taught, but strictly to those who wanted to learn those languages. Growing up in Germany i went to the first, second and third grade in German public schools and never once did i hear a word of English. It wasn't taught by the school and i had to learn it from a Frenchmen and a Polack. When you went to school so many years ago as did i in the United States it was unheard of to teach in anything but English as it should be sense English is the national language. That the illegals are invading the schools just look at the Gwinnett county ga statics of the illegals that are enrolled. You may turn a blind eye to the problem but the nation spoke a few weeks ago on illegal immigration and i wasn't the only one we don't want it or the problems that it causes, the tax burden, schools, gangs the problems are everywhere i sorry that your to liberal to see or understand what is happening in this country because of it.
