The 6 Thuringian Wolf dog hybrids (wolf hybrids) must not die!

In the spring of 2017, the wild she-wolf, who has lived in the military training ground at Ohrdruf in Thuringia for a good three years, received 6 black puppys. So it was clear that the father is a dog, which was genetically confirmed.
The Institute Lupus = Gesa Klut, Ilka Reinhardt = DBBWolf (Federal Environment Ministry) recommended the killing of the 6 Wolf-cross-breeds, as they would endanger the purity of the German Wolf otherwise. After considerable protests from wolf and animal rights activists - there was a PRO 'hybrid' quota of 90% - the Minister of the Environment, the GREEN Anja Siegesmund, chose to catch the wolf dog hybrid. A very good place had also been found, namely a 15,000 square meter enclosure in the Alternative Bear Park in Worbis. The enclosure is in the forest, hilly, with bushes and designed so that the animals can retreat fine.
Then in early November 2017, the absurdity cabinet took its course. The buck was made a gardener, because the Ministry of the Environment entrusted those who had previously recommended the killing of the 6 Wolf-cross-breeds, with the capture, the Institute Lupus. However, the ladies Kluth and Reinhardt had no time - or probably no desire - so that students / interns were sent off - people who had never captured wolves or even Wolf-cross-breeds. First, snare traps should be taken - which are known to be very efficient. But for incomprehensible reasons, box traps were then set up. At first you had only one and then had to borrow a second just where you had even tried in vain to capture 6 broken wolves – Wild-park Bavarian Forest.

And if you believe that dilenttantism has come to an end, it has been (negatively) surprised again. Because instead of monitoring exactly where the 6 puppies are, you have set up the 2 box traps (maybe even one or the other) on the so-called Rendez-Vous place. The joke is that the kittens are only found by accident at that moment, since they are starting to hunt with their mother from the 6th month onwards, as we were able to see in the photos. A rendezvous place is interesting only in the period of about 10 weeks to the end of the 5th month. For as soon as the little ones have their adult dentition, which is just in the 5.-6. Month happened, and also have a handsome size, they go with the mother and just do not have to wait there until they are virtually picked up or meet with the mother there to feed. But this date was over in early November - at the time when they had decided to catch. The implementation of the trap installation then lasted until the beginning of December! A few animal friends and I have both the financial aid offered to the Ministry of the Environment and that from Russia, an experienced wolf catcher should have been flown! I myself recommended the ministry to an experienced wild biologist from Italy at the University of Siena, who in 2017 and his team had captured 10 'hybrids' - with snares - for a state project. The Ministry has ignored all offers of help and after no more than 4 weeks - beginning of 2018 -, the shooting of the 6 Wolf-cross-breeds at the highest state authority requested and got approved on 19.01.2018.

Of course, as a German citizen you feel like being hugged, because it becomes clear that at no time did the ministry have the real intention of capturing the 6 Wolf-cross-breed puppys. The very fact of these insignificant transactions with the Institute Lupus, which had already been recommended as a mafia, makes this clear.

What is important in the matter, there have always been Wolf-cross-breeds worldwide. They neither disturb nor endanger the pure wolf population. Depending on the starting position, whether many stray dogs, village dogs live in the country, there is a proportion of 4% to 13% of the respective wild wolf population. This keeps the pure wolf population problem-free. That's been like that for 100,000 years. As early as October 2017, I sent a good 10 genetic papers and the scientific opinions of recognized wolf researchers to the Ministry of the Environment, the Minister and the Supreme Land Authority.

It is actually an irony that just after the former Green Environment Minister Stefan Wenzel in Lower Saxony now calls another green minister for killing wild animals. Wenzel was 'successful', on 27.04.2016 the well-known young wolf Kurti was shot.

Wolf-dog hybrids of the 1st - 4th branch generation after the wolf are protected just like the wolf itself, strictly kind with all legal protection consequences. The application of the exemption § 45 paragraph 7 p. 1 No. 2 Federal Nature Conservation Act does not apply here, because there may only ever be a case by case - but this did not exist, because the wolf management plans of the countries generally recommend a removal. It would be a wonderful opportunity to work scientifically with the Wolf-dog mixes. That's why I had suggested sterilizing and handing out some and leaving the others in the compound, and perhaps trying to use 1-2 to domesticate them as 'dogs' as some scientists have in the past 100 years have done again and again. 2 sterilize, donate and leave free, keep 2 as wild catches in the enclosure and 2 to 'train'.

Please share the petition widely and do not allow the inability to kill these rare animals. Do everything possible to prevent the killing of wolves and their descendants from becoming a 'fashion' because it seems easier to solve 'problems'. The joke is, in 5 weeks is again mating time, and the Thuringian Ministry of the Environment has done nothing to prevent that it comes to a repetition of a mating of the she-wolf with a village dog! Give the she-wolf and her 6 puppys a voice. Ohry and her puppys deserve it because she lived there inconspicuously for 3 years!

The thing is in a hurry.

The wolf was already extinct for several years In Germany .... now that he is spotted again, it is a great gift actually .... but unfortunately not for politicians and hunters.
