I''m going to go out on a limb here....This dog was not on a leash, and the owner was walking her dog in an area known to have allligators.Tragically, nature took its course, and the animal was taken due to the owner's negligence.
I see no reason why the allligator had to be put down.

I agree. Humans are an arrogant lot. Human error to blame but sadly, the animal usually ends up paying the price.

The Gator shouldn't be shot 4 being hungry. Very poor judgement on the dog owners behalf---and the poor dog died cos of her ignorance. That Gator had every right to live...thanks
