These protesters have not come to work within the system. They are not pleading with Congress for electoral reform. They know electoral politics is a farce and have found another way to be heard and exercise power. They have no faith, nor should they...

Eric Cantor calls this protest a "mob". For him, that is an "honor". I feel sure that George the third called our Founding Fathers a "mob" also.

The article stated:

It will not stop until there is an end to the corporate abuse of the poor, the working class, the elderly, the sick, children, those being slaughtered in our imperial wars and tortured in our black sites. It will not stop until foreclosures and bank repossessions stop. It will not stop until students no longer have to go into debt to be educated, and families no longer have to plunge into bankruptcy to pay medical bills. It will not stop until the corporate destruction of the ecosystem stops, and our relationships with each other and the planet are radically reconfigured. And that is why the elites, and the rotted and degenerate system of corporate power they sustain, are in trouble.

Thank goodness for Ketchup and all who are like her that took time out of their lives to be at OWS. They have my gratitude. In my younger days, I'd be there too. Now I must support their actions any way I can via the internet or local events. But I'm in the battle and have been for some time now.

This OWS event is the eye of the storm, and the storm around it is getting stronger. The only safety from the storm is in the eye of the hurricane, where people like this gathered together. Most people do not understand how or even why this works, but it does.

There are many hurricanes growing all across the country, actually all across the globe.

Our only safety is with other people who carry the message of hope, healing, forgiveness, compassion and sharing in their hearts and expressed through actions, as these protestors are doing now.

This is a true bottoms up movement. If these groups stay true to the heart center, the movement will be successful. Just doing what they are doing for a day is a huge success, even if nothing comes out of it short term.

Or, it may turn out that when the whole financial system collapses, this will be all that is left that really works. Either way, it wins.

Thanks, ladies. We really do need to stay centered, and to stick together. I've been hoping and wondering when people would take to the streets. It's the only thing left to do at this time. It's the only way to be heard. I am very pleased to see the crowds (not mobs like little whiney b**** Cantor says) operating with dignity and intelligence. I hope we can sustain it! I'd be there if I possibly could!
