The government of Peru is investigating the deaths of more than 500 pelicans along a 70km (40-mile) stretch of the country's northern coast.They were found in the same region where some 800 dolphins washed ashore earlier this year.

Something very SICK & TRAGIC is happening off the coast of Peru. Underwater blasting for oil perhaps? I hope the Peruvian government and environmental organizations research sooner than later to find out the cause of all these deaths ... mercury poisoning in the fish?
