Would you be willing to give up your neighborhood green space for fear that a coyote pack may settle in?

Noted. Recent years bear sightings and encounters in urban areas have been increasing in Japan. Due to expantion of residential areas into "satoyama" - baffer zone between wild animals' habitat and human habitat - bears and/or boars come down to towns seeking foods. There was one bear even walking on a platform of rail station. (sadly shot dead later)

Thanks. We have a big problem in haifa with wild bores, mothers and little piggies, just roaming in our back yard, and jackals as well. Man has invaded their territory with his buildings and they have no food or shelter. it's terrible. The jackals even attacked my daughter's cat and the bores just stood in the middle of the road and the cars couldn't pass and people were throwing stuff at them. Just terrible! So sad! I don't know how they plan to solve the problem, it seems nobody is doing anything in the municipality!

This summer, we had a bear pass through Newton MA, where I live . He was caught in, Brookline, two towns over. He came all the way from Western MA, looking for love :)
I cant believe he made it here and was never run over or hurt, coming from so far away. He had done it before and was tagged, so they knew it was the same bear. The wildlife department, tried to find and capture him, after being seen in so many urban areas. He was too smart , and on a mission !!! . They finally did when someone saw him in the backyard of a neighbor. He was high up in a tree, shot with a tranquilizer gun, and then driven, back to Western MA. Guess he was looking for love in all the wrong places, or trying to make it to , New Hampshire or Maine and relocate…xxooox
@ Sorry, not sure if the link to the article with capture video will attach.
