With enough numbers, protest could push Obama to stop the Tar Sands pipe line; If activists succeed or not, they must understand it makes no sense to think bankers can solve climate change crisis, yet that's what Obama's market solutions means.

Nothing will stop the XL Pipeline from being completed! It was a done deal in 2010 with a finish date in 2014. I think Obama was the President at the time and what was needed to make it a done deal is to cross the border between the U.S. and Canada. This "border" extends for 3 metres (10 ft) on each side of the line. Only the President has control of the 10 needed to connect the pipeline on our side of the border!
