The EPA is duty-bound under the Clean Water Act to monitor waterways and protect them from toxic runoff from factory farms. Often though, it does not even know which operations are potentially the biggest polluters or where they are.

Thanks! signed and shared, noted too.
Not only does factory farming pollute the near by lands and waters, but it also is a major greenhouse gas producer, appr. 18-20 %. The methane and nitrogen heavy waste will suffocate water plants and little by little the fish start dying, algae flourish and waters start to smell, even if not stagnant. Been there, seen it, smelled it, no thank you. The factory farms are most likely in total denial of the fact, but should this be the time for the Congress and the Senate to step up to the plate and push a bill or two to demand better cleaning and filtering methods? At least that is what I think.
