Mr. Olbermann, I will miss your insightful, and truthful commentaries, it's like losing a good friend with you now gone.
Enjoy your life, you've done well, and I bid you 'good bye', in a good way, of course! Oh! and Happy Holidays!!

Indeed, have fun storming the castle. Unfortunately we have Pence that will put on the new hat. He will be just as awful, if not more so because he'll appear "sane" in place of Trump, but he is a dangerous man.

I'll believe that when I see it. But at least we will have Pence to replace him.

Dandelion, Pence is indeed a dangerous man. We would be jumping from the frying pan into the fire, going from Trump to him. There would be at least one advantage, though. I don't think he would be as likely to antagonize and get us into a nuclear war with North Korea.

.............won't believe it to when I see it.....but its a wonderful sentiment and can't happen too fast.............Pence might make domestic issues worse as he is a career and able politician, but I think internationally he would not provoke or try to intentionally create war while denying it.......but then again GWB did.....

I wouldn't bet on it. He seems to slip out of everything. Yes...sure would hate to see his VP as Pres but at least he is (or sounds) a little saner.

I started watching Keith on the Countdown many years ago. Did not watch him during his sports broadcasting segment as I am not into sports anymore. I was very excited and happy when he came back to do The Resistance on the GQ Channel. Keith is the most astute commentator anywhere in USA. Perhaps Keith can do a few shows in the future to help keep us apprised of new situations as they arise. Perhaps an edition of the Best of Keith Olbermann's broadcasts will be in the offering for the future. Maybe TC can cull a few of them worthy as the best episodes.

I, for one, hope that Keith and GQ were not "forced" to drop "The Resistance" from undue pressure by the extreme right-wing groups and individuals.

I, for one, will miss his decisive commentaries as will others too. Sigh…

Like Jim, I was regular view of Olbermann on the Countdown – there were some great episodes there, saying what desperately needed to be said at that time. I can't imagine Olbermann keeping quiet about what needs to be said for two very long. Like you, Jim, I certainly hope that his departure is not in any way linked to any right-wing pressure!

I don't think it really matters who is calls himself president - this is the Koch show and they pull all the strings. Hope Keith's timeline is accurate, I can't take it anymore.
Thanks Judy

Thanks for posting this, Judy. I hope Keith will be back when he senses his analysis is especially needed.

He's really messing with us. He keeps taunting us and daring us to oust him, and shockingly we allow him to continue without reigning him in in anyway, so he keeps taking bigger bites, just like the petulant child trying to find the limits.

He is confused about leader and ruler, and so are we. Perhaps this administration will bring this into focus so that we can advance a productive society with life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness as a leading ideal for all Americans and not just some Americans. We should not tolerate the advancement of individuals gaming the system at the expense of others whether it comes from 1% or the milking well intended social programs ("welfare").

We all have something to give and it cannot work without both give and take.
