Central Africa has become increasingly inhospitable to forest elephants, according to a study published March 4 in PLoS One that found that 62 percent of the species was killed by poachers between 2002 and 2011.

Japan I am ashamed of you my friends. I am sure there is other materials to make you Hanko personalized stamps and Shamisen picks out of. I don't care how hard to the forest elephant tusks are you are contributing to this species extinction. Using elephant tusk material my Japanese friends is prolonging the inevitable demise of these elephants. I know you can stop their slaughter by stopping the market for buying their tusks.
