Although I am not at all happy with the "slap on the wrist" this kid got for this I am atleast happy that she was caught and held accountable, we see so many of these face book pages with awful things done to animals and they never get caught, so at least one finally did, they should have made the punishment so much more intense and held her up as an example to others who do this! this to will be re-posting this in my page Stop Cruelty To Animals Wild Domestic!!

This story reinforces why it is tantamount that every state has an animal abuse registry! This kid gets a slap on the wrist, and goes on her merry way to commit more sociopathic crimes angainst animals as she gets older! Every state in the union should have an animal abuser registry! Would you want this maniac living in your neighborhood? And what about her parents? Who the hell raised this monster?

Sick, sick, sick. That girl need help. Makes no difference that the cat was already dead, so she says.

Yes, this is a very sick young woman. Anyone capable of skinning an animal and proudly displaying it is a very disturbed individual (nor do we know if she did not kill the cat herself). The most disturbing part is society ignores the warning signs of highly disturbed people all the time. They suffer no real consequences for their actions. I won't be surprised if this young woman harms again and again.

I wish that the fine was more. However, her family will probably have to move to protect their precious daughter. Stupid teenager.

This is the kind of incident that psychologists use as a warning signal for future deviant behavior. I feel no unhappiness over the fact that this story was picked up and published with her name and address and that she has received numerous threats. When will people learn that actions have consequences? I am grateful to each and every animal lover who let her know this kind of horrid action will not be accepted. BTW, she is claiming that the animal was already dead... as far as I am concerned, that doesn't make her any less guilty of promoting animal cruelty.

This case is so horrific. The fact that she was showing these photos on her facebook page must be an indication that she is reaching out for help and I hope and pray that she gets help.

Noted, Tks Yrna.. A very disturbed girl. Regardless if the cat was dead or not, this is discusting. If she had done this to one of my cats, she'd have reason to be scared of me.
What next another animal, or maybe a small child, this girl should be in sicko ward and get help of sort..

only 400 dollars?? that is what a life means to justice?? she should have spent time in jail, and some kind of psychiatric treatment. People who are cruel to animals dont stop there, they always escalate to severe crimes

Time in jail is too kind punishment for her. I have a better idea- to use her in different medical training courses or testing, such as Trauma training, for example. There is no need to test on animals- use such perverted pieces of trash for training or testing!

Just $400? How is that going to convince her not to do it again?

What does it matter if the cat was already dead? She has mutilated this animal, taken her picture and was caught. Monetary fine was way too low and she should be required to get mental help.
