It takes a strong person, anyhow one who loves animals, to stand there and just take pictures of all that brutallity and pain happening, and not getting out there and beating those seal killers to a pulp.I think the majority of us would have to try to stop it and get hurt or killed ourselves. But these photographers MUST get these photoes to show the world that this needs to be stopped

Will this sickness ever end, how can a human being be so utterly sick in the head. Is there nothing that can be done, has gone on far to long, somehow we should be able to get it stopped. Horrible, Horrible Abuse, these poor little creatures of God to suffer this . I will sign and sign and sign anything to get this stopped.

See, my good people, the Canadian government is an entity of indifference, lazyness, immorality and greed. They don't listen to the people of the world, they don't read countless petitions, they don't obey the UN ban but most of all, they don't listen to us, the millions of canadians that have been screaming for decades to put a stop to this horror. And they don't care if the world are looking down on us with nasty comments all over the internet or whenever animal welfare in Canada is being address, as if we, all canadians were on the ice flow butchering seals by the thousand. As if all african people were poachers. As if all chinese people were extracting bile from bears. As if all american people grew puppy mill in their backyard. Need I go on people? And to hear comment like Gail Shea said and I quote "It's time to take the emotion out of the issue" or to see the idiot Justin Trudeau continuing his father's unaducated legacy, or Brooke Shield "realizing a childhood dream" by bying a long lenght fur coat or Janet Jackson so proud to be co-owner of a fur compagny and all imbeciles that wear fur knowingly aware of the cruelty, all of you are the crap of the earth, the vomit of society, you are all a bunch of immoral, heartless f....... whores. I hate all of you profoundly and I hope you will die a long and painfull death.

This is still so sick. The greed and corruption involved is never ending. Thank God for all the media and video attention. It will never be the dark ages again for animal abuse and slaughter. It is now at the front and on top. Stop the sickness and insanity and stop the seal slaughter.

This will end when people stop asking for fur, tourists change place to visit and nobody patronize Canadian Products and products from companys, stores, etc that use fur.among its items.. Some help from canadian animal and nature lovers could help a lot also!

I will CONTINUE my boycott of all Canadian products until this atrocity has ended. This is one of the cruelest acts that humans can inflict on defenseless animals and it must be stopped. I hope that the Humane Society can capture as much video as possible and educate the world on this inhumane act. Let it go viral and maybe we can put more pressure on the Canadian government. Whatever we've been doing is not working. But don't give up. Support the Humane Society in its efforts and spread the word!

Canada and China go hand-in-hand with their wanton, disgusting, barbaric, sadistic and cruel actions towards fur-bearing creatures. As quoted, money is the root of all evil and its certainly true in this case. Fur belongs on beautiful animals not ugly-hearted people.

Let us take stock of our victories and losses so far. In the last 4 years we have ended the slaughter of horses in the USA. We are working to end the dolphin kill and the whale kill by Japan, and we see a small light at the end of that tunnel. At present we watch as more baby seals are killed. Fashion and manufacturing seem to need fur and leather and they will need these products as long as products are being bought. So in the end it is up to the consumers. Same goes for the tigers and etc. etc. etc.

Then there is the faux fur claim to fame, well that comes from petroleum, that's oil in short.

Fur industry amped up their advertising after fur sales were down. We need to petition every damned one of the fashion designers to stop using fur. There are some that have done that, thank God. Why is it that every natural cosmetic tv commercial/ad I have seen DOES NOT include in the sales pitch :Not experimented on animals? HUH? That would be a plus, and make the dull witted public aware of animal suffering.
We need to shout from the rooftops or cable tv- photos of the seal hunts, etc. Only until stupid #$$%# women stop buying furs will the seal hunts continue. As for me, I have NO sympathy with any one who gets red painted while wearing a fur. Hope it gets in your hair and you can't wash it out!!!!!!!!

That this still goes on is just mind boggling. How come Canadians don't put an end to this barbaric practice? What could be worse than clubbing to death a young animal that isn't able to move? How horrible is it for the mother to watch as it's offspring is bludgeoned to death and skinned? If only there were a God...

It is so incredibly sad that there is a fine line drawn between the age of the seal pups when the real problem is that the are killing seals. The exact age they are is not really relevant. One glimmer of hope is that once the National Park is created maybe many more will have a refuge. If they have not been able to add up that with global warming, rapidly melting ice in the arctic, endangered polar bears that massacres of seals add exponentially to an environmental disaster? The seal hunt is brutal and it is also very ecologically and environmentally irresponsible.

Around mid January 2011 Canada (Fisheries Minister Gail Shea) and Labrador (Fisheries Minister Clyde Jackman) signed a deal with China: Canada sells, China buys: Seal meat, oil and pelts. Korea is another predatory country. Asia is an every-starving demon and the demand for food alone will bring now this species too in danger. The killing will now be greater than ever! Demand from your government local products and local produced items such as clothes. Stop buying garbage from China!

It is the ineptness and weakness of the Canadian government to provide jobs for these areas and to encourage no-killing, non-murderous industries to the Eastern provinces. Canada is accepting more and more immigrants while their own people have no jobs – what is wrong with this picture?

To those who can reach the ice: record the screams of the animals when they are killed; play it back on You Tube and in every city. Activists of the World Unite! Fight this phoney job creation! Write open cards to the Canadian Government, write to Canadian Tourism and tell them you will boycott until the killing stops! Boycott Canada!!!

Gail Shea, the federal Fisheries Minister said, "Sealing is a legal, multi-million-dollar industry that provides the main source of income for about 6,000 families" . How sad... those people should use their heart instead of using their brain counting and collecting dollars.

I am disgusted with this Canadian government allowing this inhumanity to exist and what shame the people who wear fur bring on us. It turns my stomach when I see some movie star or socialite wearing fur - - I only hope that they open their eyes and realize what harm they are doing. In essence, they are murderers of these gentle animals too. Maybe if they saw the video of "where their fur came from" --- well, one can only hope. In the meantime, boycott Canada's products; something has to make them sit up and notice and finally pass a law stopping this inhumane practice.

This is a disgrace. It's so disturbing and heartbreaking. What a nation of barbarians! Canadians should be doing everything to stop their government from allowing this horrible thing, after all in a democracy governments have to listen to their citizens. So this is not only the doing of the government and the hunters but the all people in Canada are also responsible for this massacre.

Its a good things to film this horror. Show the killings to the world will hopefully have more people boycott Canada and let them know what the hell is going on. Throw this horror in people's faces is a good thing. I hope it will open people's eyes to the atrocitys of people.
