I am a lover of cats. But when you see the ones that have been dumped in the wild and how big they can grow I feel something should be done about them. They can devistate some of the small wildlife that we have here in Australia as I imagine they can in other countries. Sorry

Signed earlier. Noted with thanks Sophia. It is the fault of humans for these innocent cats being dumped Les. Maybe these humans need to be dumped instead.

Thank you!

Will people ever learn? SPAY/NEUTER. Irresponsible humans cause the problem and the poor darlings have to pay the price.

To call the place a shelter and perform various killings, is a contridiction in terms of the meaning of the word. Maybe these places should be called Murder Inc.

Oh, and Les? Human beings cause this problem. If people would take responsibility for their animals then the problem could be greatly mitigated. The animals are merely trying to survive and certainly aren't aware that they may be eating an endangered bird. Besides - human encroachment is more to blame than feral cats are for wildlife depredations...Alley Cat Allies has studies posted on their website that articulate facts about feral cats succinctly and scientifically.

Hopefully in our area here the cats will be TNR. But not released back to the island... they are killing the animals on the island and something has to be done about them. Hopefully someone has a big farm where they don't mind having the TNR'd stray cats. Until then it's a serious problem on the island.

I actually enjoy the company of the feral cats in my community. They're as much a part of the landscape as the birds, and I provide food and water, so tearing up garbage and killing birds is rare! We should all do what we can to support whatever creatures are near us and hungry; think of it as assisting God in His work. Thanks,Sophia.

Got several ferals running around my patio area.....most are poor babies that were dumped when the families moved away....I feed them regularly and have no problems with them destroying anything. Its raccoons and possums that are an issue. Signed Sophia!

Oh YES I signed that one.. I have gotten at less 34 strays already this year & luckily I have found homes for them.. now I have another batch & I did another tactic sence no one wants Free ones.. I put on our Online Paper that I am neutering, advantage & rabies shot all for 25.00 .. one lady after seeing a pic of one of the kittens have said she would gladly give me 30.00... am gonna donate it to the place I am taking them to get neutered cuz they do so much for animals that are confiscated by the ASPCA.. 5.00 of the money..
