Why Israel Is the Victim

Israel, the only democracy and tolerant society in the Middle East, is surrounded by Muslim states that have sworn to destroy it and have conducted a genocidal propaganda campaign against the Jews, promising to "finish the job that Hitler started."

Thanks Stan, It's refreshing to read this (I haven't finished the whole article) as we have been feeling attacked from all over and find it hard to defend ourselves from all this negative propaganda. We have made our mistakes but basically the Jewish people in Israel, most of them, want peace and quiet and are willing to give up a lot for it.

Thanks Stan and Giana, i feel exactly the same way..

This article is a VERY refreshing read to the normal one-sided critique of Israel.

Peace is indeed what the fast majority in Israel want, and as history shows, Israel has been prepared to exchange a lot in the hope of reciprocated peace..

May the huge price Israel had already paid in the hope of reciprocated peace not be in vain..

Propaganda precedes war; it digs the graves and waits for them to be filled. The war against the Jews has never been limited to bullets and swords; it has always, first and foremost, been a war of words. When bombs explode on buses and rockets rain down on Israel homes, when mobs chant “Death to the Jews” and Iran races toward the construction of its genocidal bomb; the propaganda lies to cover up these crimes must be bold enough to contain not only the murders of individuals, but the prospective massacre of millions.

Boy!! Is this what is going on in this world/country today or what!?!? Propaganda of every form!!

When the Jews left, there remained the problem of what to do with the existing greenhouses. A Jewish philanthropist in America stepped forward to solve the problem. Mortimer Zuckerman, the publisher of U.S. News and World Report,’ raised $14 million to buy the greenhouses from their Jewish owners and give them to the Palestinians in Gaza. It was a gesture of peace, an effort to encourage the Palestinians to look on the withdrawal from Gaza as a step in the process of ending the fifty year war of the Arab states and the Palestinian Arabs against Israel.

The Palestinian answer to this peace offering was unambiguous and swift. As soon as the Israeli troops left, Palestinians rushed in to loot the greenhouses that had been given to them, stripping them of the pumps, hoses and other equipment that had made them so productive.2

It's quite simple to see how much the Palestinians wanted peace byt the actions of what they did here in this good will gesture by Israel!! Selfish greed and hate!

Stan..What an excellent article!!! VERY informative!! Thanks!!

good article.

but i wouldn't hold my breath waiting for peace. the mohammedans only want the land so the israelis will have no refuge. the "compromise" they want, in exchange for peace, is jews to cease existing. they have said this again and again.

Thank you, Stan, for this article by David Horowitz and a very informative intro by Daniel Greenfield.

I think this article is a good overview of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, as its commonly called.

The truth is that it would be more accurate to call it what it really is, which is called the Nazification of Arab and Iranian Islam. There are many documented ties between the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Amin El-Husseini, the Muslim Brotherhood's founder, Hassan al-Banna and Hitler and leading Nazis.

Of course, Islam's conflicts with Jews and Christians go back to Islam's inception in the 1400s. At times under the Ottoman Caliphate and later Turkish rule, these groups were treated relatively well by the non-Arab Muslim Turks (today this is no longer true under the ascendant of the Islamist Erdogan's party). The defeat of and disintegration of the Ottoman Empire, along with the carving out of new Arab states by European leaders changed a lot of the dynamics.

Nazism had a great appeal to Islamic Arab leaders, as both cultures shared similar values, which according to Matthias Kuntzel, author of "Jihad and Jew-Hatred: Islamism, Nazism and the Roots of 9/11" lists as:

1. Monotheism - unity of leadership, the leadership principle;

2. A sense of obedience and discipline;

3. The battle and honour of dying in battle;

4. Community, following the principle: the collective before the individual;

5. High esteem for motherhood and prohibition of abortion;

6. Glorification of work and creativity: "Islam protects and values productive work, of whatever kind it may be;" [personally speaking, I do not see this in today's Arab world, where the Arabs produce little besides the oil pumped out from under them, terrorism and the erosion of Western freedoms and rights - Beth]

7. Attitude towards the Jews - "in the struggle against Jewry, Islam and National Socialism are very close."

Nazism directly supported the Arab antisemitism of Amin El-Husseini and Hassan al-Banna with military training, weapons, propaganda techniques, and lots of money. Arabs, especially in Egypt, modeled Islamic Youth Groups on the Nazi Youth Groups and even used a Nazi-type salute and chants.

In a very real sense then, as Nazism officially closed with the end of World War II, it found a new and permanent home in Arab Islamic ideology, and this is where its lust for the genocide of the Jews -- in Israel and ultimately throughout the entire world doggedly resides.

While Arab Islam is very tribal in nature, Arab socialism failed as well as did Pan-Arab movements, the ONLY thing that Arab Islam as well as that of Iran and other countries and sects could agree upon was the goal of creating a worldwide Caliphate and destroying Israel and Jews. This latter is the core of the Muslim Brotherhood's, Hamas's and even the PLO's raison d'etre.

It has become so obvious to me over time that this is what is happening - a systematic destruction of the land of the Jews - Israel. Islam has been trying to destroy them since the Jews refused to accept their conman 'prophet' as the next Jewish prophet (he wasn't even Jewish!). Mohammed had 900 Jewish men and boys beheaded in Medina for not accepting him, and he sat and laughed while this cruel, bloody event took place, as he divided up their belongings and wealth, then he took the most beautiful widow and forced her to be one of his many wives. What a sick sick monster! Here's what he and his demonic deity commanded Muslims to do to the Jews, and it is no wonder they do what they do:

Bukhari:V4B52N177 "Allah's Apostle said, 'The Hour will not be established until you fight
with the Jews, and the stone behind which a Jew will be hiding will say.
"O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him."'"
(A poll sponsored by the Israel Project found that 73 percent of Palestinian Arabs “believe” this Hadith, according to the findings of a July 2011 study by Greenberg Quinlan Rosner)

Why are the so-called 'progressives' and 'liberals' so taken in by these anti-human rights brutes and hate mongers who oppress women, degrade children, torture and murder gay people and oppose all human rights in the name of their hatefilled god?

Fatah leader, Abbas Zaki, has repeatedly revealed the duplicity of the PA leaders. On April 9th 2008 he told NBN TV the following: “The PLO has not changed its platform even one iota….The PLO proceeds through phases…..Allah willing we will drive them out of all of Palestine.” The following year he revealed on Lebanese TV: “When we say that the settlement should be based upon these (1967) borders, President (Abbas) understands, we understand, and everybody knows, that the greater goal (destruction of Israel) cannot be accomplished in one go. If Israel withdraws from Jerusalem, evacuates the 650,000 settlers and dismantles the wall – what will become of Israel? It will come to an end.” He then cautioned his listeners: “It is not acceptable policy to say that we want to wipe Israel out. Don’t say these things to the world, keep it to yourself.”

Israel is a victim because it is an easy and safe target. Activists can come and go freely. To go to the countries which are the major human rights violators like Iran, N.Korea, China,Saudi Arabia, Syria,etc. is a dangerous proposition - so why take the chance when you have an easy target like Israel? There, as a hypocritical human rights activist one can look good!

Very refreshing and factual. I can only hope that *many* people will read this and reconsider the extremism and hate-mongering that is targeting Ysrael today. But I wouldn't hold my breath... Too many people react emotionally and won't bother to analyze the other side of the story.

Thank you, your article is very informative! Will need to read the article carefully and give it thought. Nazism, Pan Germanism and a link with Muslims has been in my thoughts as i have read some news articles. As has the lead up to World War 2. The suffering of people at the hands of Hitlers thugs, in Europe, as he prepared his move towards a Pan Germanic world was not given serious consideration until there had been much suffering! Chamberlain sat back while Hitler continued his campaign of aggression in Europe. Only after Hitler attacked Poland was war declared. I have felt that Muslim aggression has gone unchallenged, especially towards the Jewish people, hardly a mention in UK news! Our government is sitting back, scared of the racist card, to the point of positive discrimination in favor of Muslims.

Awareness is the first big step forward, Giana your article is brilliant and the comments in support are great and encouraging! Thank you, my dear friend, Alexandra for your email.

Israel is not on its own. America will always be behind Isreal, but, Isreal is on its own when it comes to the land it required during that six day war. Isreael and America want the same thing when it comes to the Middle East, but, America's policies seem to be failing. Our ex-president has turned the World against us as agressors. There is no way the Democracy can take hold when your whole family, relatives and friends are held hostage for your actions, or non-action. Obama was elected, not because he was presidential matrial, but because it would have meant another four years of Bush policies under McCain and would have never trusted this Country in the hands of Alaska's Prom Queen, Palin. Obama won his second term basically for the same reasons, the GOP had nothing to offer. Obama don't know where to turnT There is too much on the plate for any one person to handle. There is the Economy, China, Iran, N. Korea and the Middle East. The people here say the hell with trying to help out the rest of the World, when we are crippled here at home. There are only two places that we owe allegiance to and that Is Israel and Japan. Things are coming to a head and Obama is not the man to take the lead, but he will have to, just as Jimmy Carter, did!

Thank you, Alexandra.

People of Earth, be not deceived. It is not Israel nor is it America that the negative nations would destroy. The war is against the people of Earth by a power far more sinister, that power opposite of freedom which is slavery for the masses.

It will not matter what country claims your loyalty, if you are for the people and the causes and the rights of the people, you are an intended victim among other victims who refuse to yield totality of power to the, how do we say, the one percent, which itself is a victim of the addictive forces of power and money.

If Israel is subjected to slaughter, if America is annihilated, your own nation, your own people whether regarded as friend or enemy, begining with the destruction of Israel and America, your own will have their necks ground into the dirt by a negative power determined to destroy all that is other, beginning with the subjection of both Israel and America....followed by your own kissing of the boots.

We must put aside illusions and recognize we are all in this together....every nation of us INCLUDING apparent enemies, Muslim and North Korea and.......we all live or we die together.

There is a story of the Arab and the camel,. I may relate it somewhat differently but the meaning is the same. The Arab lay down to sleep, the camel tied outside. The came put his head inside the tent and the Arab, sleepily thought, so what, The camel asks so little, Then the cameL brought it's front feet into the tent and still the Arab let him. Camel is not asking much. Arab awakened and he was outside the tent. The camel was inside the tent and the camel kicked the Arab away.

We, all, including me, we need to wake up. The time is now.

There was a cruise ship with many people aboard having a good time.

There came a sound of a sledge hammer from one of the cabins. It was forced open and they found
a couple of people hammering an iron stake through the floor.

The crew and the passengers demanded they stop.

The hammering people challenged, "What is it to you? This is our cabin. We paid for it. We aren't hammering your floors. What is it to you."

The captain responded, "If you sink, we all sink."

Interesting enough, several years ago I had a conversation/debate with a Muslim on Care2 who felt that I had no idea as to what I was talking about. That I didn't have a clue.

(That could be true, but it doesn't really matter.)

At the time, it was my position that the person's country was involved in and supported Terrorism and the Government was very brutal and repressive towards its own citizens and had committed crimes against humanity when it attacked and brutally suppressed an entire city within its borders. I pointed out that the Government was anti-christian. That the Government was also anti-Israel.

Naturally, the person's Care2 friends became very defensive and abusive while defending the person's position as to why I was wrong. It was claimed that the regime was peaceful, that everybody loved each other, that all the different religions lived happily together. That the country was the most progressive in the Arab world... that Israel was the real problem.

I wonder what happened to her and if she is still alive in Syria!

“Israel’s withdrawals from Gaza and Lebanon did not lead to peace, they led to greater instability as Hamas and Hezbollah exploited the power vacuum to take over Gaza and Lebanon, and used that newfound power to escalate the conflict with Israel. The less territory Israel has occupied, the more violence there has been directed against her.

The goal of the terrorists has never been an Israeli withdrawal and a separate peace, but the perpetuation of the conflict, and the elimination of the Jewish state.”

I agree with this statement!!!

Since 1948, not one of the Arab Nations has ever offered to take in the Palestinians and absorb them into their culture. For 65 years, the Palestinians have been surrounded by people who share their own beliefs and ideologies and who share the same cultural practices, and yet, the Arab Nations force them to suffer in refugee camps for decades in order to incite a serious conflict that would lead to Israel’s demise, of which must occur on that section of land.

I guess liquidating the Jews on that land apparently validates to the Arab Nations that that land was always Arab land. The Arabs do not—and will not—except that the one and only God (a God first for the Jews and later for the Gentiles) appointed and sanctioned the Land of Canaan to Israel and always intended for the land to be restored back to Israel in the final days (Revelation).

In 1971, the Palestine National Council stated, “… what links Jordan to Palestine in a national bond … formed, since time immemorial, by history and culture.” And, in 1981, Jordan’s King Hussein said, “Jordan is Palestine and Palestine was Jordan. However, the Arab Nations—or Islam—did not want peace, freedom, opportunity and a future for the Palestinians. Instead, they really wanted revenge for losing the land to Israel during the annexation. The Arabs were simply insulted when the societies of Western Civilization restored what originally belonged to the Jews in the first place.

Oh! I remembered something important. Ever since the annexation, the Israelis have been allowing all Jews from all over the globe to take refuge in Israel.

When I was in my twenties and recently Baptized into the Church of Christ faith, a non denominational faith with no Church doctrine but Biblically well read, I was watching the news and witnessing a group of people getting off an airplane in Israel and dancing on the ground just outside the plane.

They wore African attire with the usual bright, beautiful African colors. Their hairs were black with tight little curls close to their scalps and their skin was jet black! My jaw dropped to the floor, and I said in dismay, “They are black!”

The news station claimed that these African Jews were granted access into Israel, because of the extreme hostility they suffered from the surrounding Islamic populations. These people had suffered severe persecution. And, when their feet touched Israeli soil, they dance with such joy and jubilation. They looked like a people who were so very, very glad to be ALIVE!!!

However, the people of Islam do not take in Muslim refugees!!!

"The goal of the terrorists has never been an Israeli withdrawal and a separate peace, but the perpetuation of the conflict, and the elimination of the Jewish state."

The goal has never been different and as long as islam exists, I don't think it ever will be. The "religion of peace" is much like our own republican party in that what they say about themselves and their policies is often the exact opposite of what they truly mean. Herman Wouk, wrote two magnificent books about WWII, Winds of War and War and Remembrance - I learned more about the history of that era from those two books than ever I did in any classroom. He wrote two more books, the Hope and the Glory covering the period of Israel's birth through the 6 Days war, I highly recommend them as well. The bravery of Israel and its citizens who live under constant threat can't be overstated. As a people I admire them as highly as possible, the one beacon of light in that hellhole we call the middle east, surrounded by savages, they maintain decorum and peace. We should all be so strong of character, the world would be a far better place.

Noted, tweeted, shared, tweeted. Israel or the Jews have been the victims for centuries. When we study history we see all the injustices the Jews have endured. Every child knows about Moses bring his people home.Unfortunately, since the Jews had a strong culture, faith, and society and didn't engage that much with people from other cultures, people were scared of them. Because they were intelligent, successful, and strong in their faith, others didn't get to know them and began to discriminate against them. It is human nature to search for scapegoats and the Christians during the Middle Ages and the Muslims used each other and the Jews as the blame for anything that went wrong. It took centuries, but it led to Hitler. After World War II, the Jews and those who I consider civilized swore no injustice such as the holocaust would ever occur again. The Jews were able to go to Israel, and they have been amazing. They are strong ,but tolerant, and they have the intelligence to stand up to bullies. But, prejudice still exists so the Jews are often blamed for what the Muslims do. I wish both the Palestinians and the Jews could have a home land and actually live together without war. It is sad that children on both sides die. Of course, this isn't going to happen because Hamas and other militants will not compromise in any way. It kinds of reminds me of the GOP in the House and Senate.

Abu, Arabs were given Jordan and Israel exists in roughly the shape it was meant to be when it came into existence. Remember that the Arabs rejected any land in that area. So you have no legal claim to any of it or religious claim.

As for the Palestinians in other countries who have been treated as worse than third class citizens, why have you or David not said a word about them? Or don't they count? So, it is acceptable for Palestinians to be robbed of Jordan and abused by other Muslims but if Israel tries to protect itself, perish the thought or is it perish the country?

Abu, or is it our old perv friend John D?, as usual you spout propaganda, either defending the hate taught by Islam, or the corrupt anti-human rights theocracy of Islamic Saudi Arabia (we're just waiting for you to tell us how wonderful the Islamic Dictatorship of Iran is), and now you say the tired old BS about Israel and the 'poor hate mongering, rocket firing, Palestinians'. A mind certainly is a terrible thing to see wasted.

There wouldn't be any problems if the Palestanis didn't fire rockets into 1/3 of Israel daily for years, or refuse to allow Jews to pray on their most sacred site, the Temple Mount which Muslims arrogantly have occupied and desecrated with their abominations of hate the al-Aqsa mosque and Dome of the Rock for centuries of illegal occupation (where's your outrage over that?), the PATV broadcasts of hate sermons calling for the killing of all Jews and the denigrating of Christians and the airing of little Muslim kids reciting poetry about killing Jews and calling Christians and Jews 'apes and pigs', the oppression of women, forcing them to wear the ugly, primitive Muslim veils whether Muslim or not, or risk beatings or acid in the face, the corruption that is so rife, the torture, imprisonment and lynching of gay people, and the brutalization of the Palestinian people by their own Islamist leaders.

The borders wouldn't be closed if the hate mongering Palestinian terrorists didn't wear their suicide bombs to Israeli schools, cafes and on public transport.

Israel has contributed so much to humanity with its many discoveries and inventions in science, technology and medicine. What have the Muslim Arabs contributed to human wellbeing? Nothing. The world's 14million Jews have earned 185 Nobel Prizes, mostly in science and medicine, while the world's 1.5 Billion Muslims have only a paltry 10.

Israel is the only civilized, democratic free country in the region, surrounded by primitive, barbaric Muslim occupied lands, conquered and oppressed and living in darkness for centuries. In Israel the modern free world couldn't be more contrasted than next to these Palestinian primitives like Hamas. In Israel gay people are free and safe, women are free to wear what they choose, there is freedom of religion, speech, conscience and press - all of which do not exist in any Muslim occupied land.

Do some honest reading. Quit swallowing all the Islamic BS. Get real.

in a novel i read recently (the street sweeper by elliott perlman), one character defensively says something like:
"not all anti-israel statements are anti-semitic."
to which his father replies:
"NONE of them should be."
arabs preoccupation with destroying israel and wiping out the jews certainly hardens israel's resolve to survive and thrive. i suggest that it also weakens the arabs, whose energies and resources are directed towards hatred and destruction, rather than towards anything beneficial to themselves or the rest of humanity.

There are tears and blood shed by everyone involved...I feel compassion for all concerned in this tragic situation... However extremism is dangerous in any form it takes.......and religious extremism is appearing to be out of control in nightmarish laws and rules in Islamic Nations...Sharia being one example among many.. Peace cannot be achieved based on a wishful thinking of the politically correct activists for peace who do not understand either history or problems facing Israel from supremacist ideology of Islam, which is feeding the terrorism against Western civilization while financed by the Arab and Iranian oil money on which Western civilization had become dependent.

If you want to know about how Palestine looked like during Ottoman occupation of 400 years, read Mark Twain travelogue: The innocents abroad" in which he describes Palestine in 1869, just about time more Jews started moving to Palestine. Then only Jews were considered "Palestinians" since all other Arab inhabitants had no national identity under Ottomans which occupied most of the Middle East. Jerusalem always had Jews in majority, well described by Karl Marx in 1849 article when Jerusalem had 8,000 Jews, 4,000 Christians of all kinds and 4000 Muslims, who made lots of money on both of them and oppressed them since both Christians and Jews are dhimmis kuffir and had to pay special tax and wear special clothes under Muslim rule of Ottomans. There are no more Jews left in most Muslim countries and those Jewish refugees from the Arab countries who fled with their life now comprise 50% of the Jewish population of Israel (which also has 23% Muslims and 2% Christians).

Islam is a supremacist ideology similar to Nazi ideology that does not recognize a concept of human rights, under their sharia, even the rights of Muslim women and children. Abbas is a Holocaust denier who should go to Saudi king and other Arab countries that had created the problem of Arab refugees who now call themselves "Palestinians" a name that was reserved for Jews who lived in Palestine before Israel become independent in 1948. There were more Jews kicked out of the Arab countries than Arabs who voluntarily left Israel in 1948 because they were promised loot of Jewish property after Arab armies defeat the Jews. They goofed and those Arab who stayed, enjoy same rights as their Jewish neighbors in Israel.

This is an excerpt from the Mark Twain's book Innocents abroad about Palestine of 1868 (see Chapter LVI(56), before Jews made it livable again and thus Arabs envy the Jews and want to destroy what Jews had built there:

Palestine sits in sackcloth and ashes. Over it broods the spell of a curse that has withered its fields and fettered its energies. Where Sodom and Gomorrah reared their domes and towers, that solemn sea now floods the plain, in whose bitter waters no living thing exists—over whose waveless surface the blistering air hangs motionless and dead—about whose borders nothing grows but weeds, and scattering tufts of cane, and that treacherous fruit that promises refreshment to parching lips, but turns to ashes at the touch.

Nazareth is forlorn; about that ford of Jordan where the hosts of Israel entered the Promised Land with songs of rejoicing, one finds only a squalid camp of fantastic Bedouins of the desert; Jericho the accursed, lies a moldering ruin, to-day, even as Joshua's miracle left it more than three thousand years ago; Bethlehem and Bethany, in their poverty and their humiliation, have nothing about them now to remind one that they once knew the high honor of the Saviour's presence; the hallowed spot where the shepherds watched their flocks by night, and where the angels sang Peace on earth, good will to men, is untenanted by any living creature, and unblessed by any feature that is pleasant to the eye.

Renowned Jerusalem itself, the stateliest name in history, has lost all its ancient grandeur, and is become a pauper village; the riches of Solomon are no longer there to compel the admiration of visiting Oriental queens; the wonderful temple which was the pride and the glory of Israel, is gone, and the Ottoman crescent is lifted above the spot where, on that most memorable day in the annals of the world, they reared the Holy Cross.

The noted Sea of Galilee, where Roman fleets once rode at anchor and the disciples of the Saviour sailed in their ships, was long ago deserted by the devotees of war and commerce, and its borders are a silent wilderness; Capernaum is a shapeless ruin; Magdala is the home of beggared Arabs; Bethsaida and Chorazin have vanished from the earth, and the "desert places" round about them where thousands of men once listened to the Saviour's voice and ate the miraculous bread, sleep in the hush of a solitude that is inhabited only by birds of prey and skulking foxes.

Palestine is desolate and unlovely. And why should it be otherwise? Can the curse of the Deity beautify a land? Palestine is no more of this work-day world. It is sacred to poetry and tradition—it is dream-land.

When Jews started immigrating after pogroms in Europe in the end of 19th century and afterwards, and when Ottoman Empire fell apart after WWI, and British Mandate was formed, Amin al Husseini, the Mufti of Jerusalem started riling Arab thugs to murder Jews who were building this wasteland. When first partition gave more than 75% of Palestine territory to Jordan in First Partition of Palestine in 1923, West Palestine was still administered by the British, who allowed Arab mobs to murder Jews and issued a white paper to prevent more Jewish immigration, which could have saved Jews in Germany.

Arabs were hoping for the Nazi victory and Mufti of Jerusalem spend WWII in Berlin, egging Hitler on to hurry up extermination of Jews in Europe and come to the Arab lands to do the same job, which is already urged by Mohamed in Qur'an and the method Mohamed used to murder 900 Jews from Medina, where they lived before creation of Islam. Islam is the root cause of violence and terrorism in the world, which skilful Muslim propaganda projects on Jews, who promote life, while Islam extolls DEATH and promise of a Muslim Paradise if one dies a martyr, i.,e. murdering Americans and Jews: A young Muslim who blow himself up for Allahu Akbar is promised a Paradise with 72 virgins and 12 prepubescent boys "to do with them as they please". The entire families in Gaza are proud of their shahids (Martyrs) and murder of theJews, because the entire family can then go to Paradise of Allahu Akbar. With such a promise, who can resist murdering Jews and Americans for Allahu Akbar and avoid having to work hard in creating a country when one can loot its Jewish neighbors?

Abbas is a Holocaust denier, but thinks that Holocaust would be a good idea in the Middle East, just as Mohamed Morsi,. a Muslim Brotherhood chief in Egypt and friend of Barack Hussein Obama thinks, and so does Ahmadinejad, another great Muslim leader for democracy ;-)! Islam is worse then Nazism which was also a supremacist ideology, with delusional Jew hatred, because it promotes also pedophilia, polygamy, misogyny, dhimmitude and murder for Allahu Akbar.
