So sad. It says he wasn't one of the four famous ones of the group, but that he played drums for them on all of their albums. That's like being one of them.

A comment here. The article says they still sell three million albums a year. That's amazing success. I remember sitting with a friend, listening to their music and singing along to the words from the album cover.

I am very sad to hear the news of the death of a former Abba drummer. May he rest in peace. I have enjoyed Abba's music for 35 yrs. I love them. They are among my top most favorite bands in the world because you can listen to their songs forever without getting tired of them. His wife passed away less than a year ago, and now he follows her. Tragic accident, that he almost made it to get help...
Ola Brunkert may your soul be blessed.

Dagmar FourBears, I found the photo odd too. The CNN site has a photo of Brunkert with their article. A photo of ABBA would make more sense if he was actually in the photo. However, I do find this outpouring of concern for his death very heartwarming. Personally I never heard of him. He was a session musician and they usually don't get the credit they are due. I am glad to see people cared this much.
