Looks like we're becoming a nation of the criminals, by the criminals and for the criminals.

lol, I guess Teresa it depends from what stand point one is viewing. Or maybe it takes one to know one.

Yes, this is TRUE, but not only the Military, but the DEA (US Drug Enforcement Admin) as well.

regarding the FBI, they too had a spie in there house. Former, now CONVICT Special Agent Robert Hanson was selling TOP SECRET & Higher level stuff to the Russians for 20 some years. A movie was made about it. "BREACH"

Gangs are encouraged to join the military for 'WEAPON ACCESS"? When did the US army become an access for militant organizations?Am I being too simplistic, or just misinformed?

There is corruption everywhere.... The U.S.A. Army is not an exception.

Might be some of the reasons that some of our troops have been over aggressive with the civilian population in Iraq and such.

It's the same on the City level with cops .Most the people i knew in my 20's going for the force were the worst kids on the streets. Pretty normal for a gang members to join mafias, and the cops are the biggest ones on the block. Like my Mom told me as a kid, if you see a cop cross the street and get out of there,They'll make you a victim. I wouldn't want to see the kids i knew in any authoritive uniform charging my home, I know some of these kids went to the Army also, it different now with 10 years of straight fighting, they are breeding for war now and it takes it toll.

I think of our politicians as gangs, terrorists in fact. And what about these "religous right" people, which act as gangs (in the name of God) to divide our troops. This should be invistagated by the FBI and Homaland Security.

Yes, Teresa, the FBI is a gang too. As far as drugs and the military go, drugs have always been a part of military life. So why not make drugs legal, readily available for a sensible price to those who need them? People with suicidal tendencies are not going to be stopped by the law. Thanks for posting, Dandelion.

Yes, Patricia, we must try to all think outside of the box. For most people understand that the way many things are done make no sense at all, so why do they allow or do certain things? We say to protect special interests, but those special interests may be more than one reason.

Well said Patricia - they do more harm than any street gang. And, they get full medical and pensions.

Old wine in a new bottle. Sounds to me like what they are saying is that the gangs are like Al Qaida that is infilterating the army. So now the army and departments need to be purged. Didn't these peole run a back ground check when they were hiring these marines? A basic check would have revealed that. Only now that you have over hired for a war that you no longer want to continue have you found rogues within the army?

Thanks dandelion for this one.
Are they concerned why certain 'types' are attracted to the military? Perhaps it's to do with military culture - guns, killing, that sort of thing?
The general FBI report is interesting. The report seems to want to brew-up a panic because thay say that gangs are made up of immigrants or the socially dispossessed. The debate should be around the causes of what drives people into gang cultures and does it have political significance.
I laughed to notice that one nasty gang was given the name of 'one percenters' - a nice irony !!

Goes back to the Iraq war when they couldn't get enough to sign up and rather than institute the draft they lowered the standards, even upped the age to enlist and kept sending the National Guard and Reservist back time and again.. If they had put the draft back into service the war would have ended in a short time, especially if there were NO differments like Cheney got in the Vietnaman War.

Interesting Dandelion, thanks for sharing this. I find this actually scary since the military won't take anyone with a "record" these days, these guys must be the ones that never got caught...

Maybe if your Military Industrial Complex wasn't the global equivalent of a well armed street gang or extortion racket, you wouldn't attract thugs into your institutions. Maybe if your education system and economy weren't so hopelessly f#cked, you wouldn't have so many thugs in the first place.

CIA and FBI are sort of gang-ish too. but that's just depressing, no worry the abuses happen in these countries the US are deployed too. Rapes, and random murders ftl.

"The abuses happen in these countries the US are deployed too"
It would be as accurate to say the deployments are associated with abuses. You should recognize that for all the fine talk about 'policing the world' it would be closer to say 'selling protection'...and arms of course. 'Yankee go home' is actually polite talk.
Have a look in Wikipedia : kleptocracy

Allan, it never occurred to me these infiltrations could be about weapons access. For certain they're embedded to learn military tactics, primarily. I recall a statement I read a couple years ago by Rev. Rod Parsley, advising his followers to do just that: enlist in the military and learn urban tactics Say, aren't the FBI and CIA cartels, as opposed to being gangs?

Maybe we better not tell the FBI about the tooth fairy, and Santa Claus...too much new information too soon could be more than they can take. Maybe gang members are better at getting "confessions" and could teach their straight military elders a lesson or two on torture.

This is to prepare us for the coming denunciation of some soldiers who will side with the people against our oppressive government, the people who are violating the Constitution our soldiers took an oath to 'Protect.and Defend'.
Those who keep their oath will be declared 'gang members' and locked away from the public eyes and ears.
The Police State is thorough, they prepare cover stories for coming actions.
The coming flood of heroin by the CIA will be blamed on 'gangs'.
The money will be spent on covert activities.

Green Stars Jim!!!
Today those arrested for drugs are sent to certain Christian NGOs (Celebrate Recovery / New Pathways)
to be 'cured'. Should one complain they are sent to 'Corrective Thinking Classes' (Brainwashing).
This happens as 'a condition of bail', before they have even been convicted.
Saddam had the 'Bathists'.
Obama has the 'Baptists'.
What is the difference?
Radical religious fundamentalists are enemies of freedom, no matter what religion or political affiliation.

You cannot currently send a star to Jim because you have done so within the last week.

John C. While you certainly give information that needs to be considered as to the "gang" story being a Police State cover story. I would also like to add, that in former capacity as a Social Worker, I had knowledge of this actually being the case. Gang members were joining the military to gain knowledge of weapons, so they could better use them, beoome more self desciplined members of the gang, and to obtain any other knowledte that could be helpful, includes hand to hand combat and martial arts.

Some former gang members joined as a way to leave the gang for they could see no other way out of their gang and to leave many times was death. Jumping out is not always easy and depends on the gang one is trying to leave. So they join the military, they get sent far away, and they hope that time and distance will be a new start for them.

So I believe there are many levels to this story and various ways to consider what is happening in this area of our military. I believe we have created many monsters that are now like a runaway freight train, this is not going to be easy to pull back as the train has gone a long way from the station. I am very pleased you left the information you did as we need to be aware of all the plots to undermine the people or to herd them into a certain direction.

And you are extremely right on the mark with your second statement, many of the youth I had dealt with were upset of "forced" religion. The separation of Church and State hardly exist anymore and that to me is very frightening as for those of us with native ancestry we all too well understand when the State tells one what they must think in that direction.

It wasn't until the mid seventies that it wasn't illegal to be able to do our own ceremonies without ending up in jail and still not all is acceptable or allowed by the Federal and State Governments. Those within the prison system had to push to redress to be able to practice honoring their Creator in the proper way long after the mid seventies. I'd like for the Baptist to be told they couldn't have a cettain ceremony or statue they wanted in their church.....but it's still done to the American Indians.

Makes perfect sense...the military turns it's head so that they can be certain these "soldiers" will do exactly what they're told BECAUSE the military turns it's head but is taking notes.

The bloated incompetent US military should be cut in half, thus become staffed with competent people. It is soooooooo sad that the bimobos are killing innocent people in other countries with drones. Think of the good people who worked hard and smart to give us this good life, and now it is going down the drain, courtesy of the fearmongers and their sheeple followers.
