I realize this video was made in 2007, but there are still a lot of people who do not know of Blackwater or what role they play. This is a video that gives background, facts, in hopes the viewer will learn more about this agency and what they are doing.

I also do not like it when the regular military gets blamed for something that this private mercenaries do. Our tax monies pay them higher wages while shorting our regular troops wage and medical care when they get out. These people seem to be accountable to no one....I personally do not like this at all for many reasons.

For the record, they have changed their corporate name to Xe. But that is another whole debate.

Rose this is exactly why I posted this on here. I know for some they are extremely knowledgable of Blackwater, for others, they know a little or have heard of them, then other people have not heard of them at all and know little if anything concerning them. Mainstream media is not one to bring a lot of attention to news that we should be aware of.

So thank you for watching, I appreciate that you did. Remember we are all in this together, but if we are to know how to deal with what is going on, we have to be aware it is existing.

You are very correct Patrick....

Despite new ownership, a new board and new management, security contractor Xe Services LLC could never shake a troublesome nickname: the company formerly known as Blackwater.

Now, it's the company formerly known as Xe.

On Monday, Virginia-based Xe plans to unveil a new name—Academi—and new logo. In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Ted Wright, president and chief executive, said the name change aims to signal a strategy shift by one of the U.S. government's biggest providers of training and security services.

Mr. Wright said Academi will try to be more "boring."

Founded by former Navy SEAL Erik Prince, the original Blackwater cultivated a special-operations mystique. But it was tarnished by a string of high-profile incidents, including a deadly 2007 shootout in Iraq that ultimately led to its reorganization and rebranding as Xe Services. Mr. Prince left the business in 2010, selling his stake to investor group USTC Holdings LLC.

Mr. Wright came on board this summer as part of a continuing corporate reorganization. In recent meetings with clients, he said he explained that the new corporate identity was supposed to stress the company's focus on regulatory compliance and contract management, in addition to its track record of protecting clients. "I tell them, from now on, I'm going to be in the background; I'm going to be boring," he said. "You're not going to see me in headlines."

But Mr. Wright may be courting controversy in one area. He said he would like to take Academi's business back to Iraq, and has hired an outside company to help it apply for an operating license there. "I think eventually, we're going to get a license; we're going to do business in Iraq," he said.

In its various incarnations, Academi has provided protective details for U.S. diplomats and officials in hot spots around the globe. But it is still excluded from one of the most lucrative markets for private security: The Iraqi government stripped the company of its operating license after the 2007 shootout.

Demand for security contractors in Iraq has surged, however. The State Department is hiring a large contract security force to protect the U.S. mission there, and private security firms also are eyeing possible work for energy companies as the Iraqi oil-and-gas sector opens up to foreign investment.

Deborah Avant, a professor at the University of Denver who is an expert on private security firms, said the State Department was hiring a "fairly large contingent of people that will be doing a variety of things" in Iraq.

Iraq's regulatory and political climate, she said, is fast-changing, and the dynamic will shift after the withdrawal of U.S. troops at the end of the year.

The rebranded Academi, meanwhile, wants to focus on a new line of business: security assessment. It already provides guards and runs training facilities, but wants to expands its offerings by assessing security risks for both private-sector and government clients.

The company said it has trained 50,000 people and conducted more than 60,000 protective security missions around the world in the past seven years.

Thank you Dandelion for bringing this to our attention - the new class of warriors - outsourced brutality, nice for the warmongers as the Peace President can say, he does not employ (many) USSA troops in war missions.

It is also nice for the USSA Pentagram, as the war budged is reduced and 'XE - services', formerly Blackwater or nowadays 'academi' costs burdened to the shoulders of the dumb-down US taxpayer.

Interesting also the motto of 'Black-Water'.:

'In Support Of Security, Peace, Freedom and Democracy Everywhere'.

Meanwhile we have thousands of different merc- agencies all over the world...

It's become a hellish mess Dandelion ...
For instance, today, everyone can rent 4 - 5 Al-CIA-da terrorists including Jeep with gasoline and if you have a special discount including dog for less than USD 100.- a day to carry out terror, mutilation, rape, murder on every spot on earth you like.

Rent your sniper, for less than 50bucks a day, including ammu.

For months we have Blackwater in Syria - this is, beside alQaeda aka Al-CIA-da the cause of unspeakable pain and muder, blamed on Syrian Government by 'our' media.

War Under Table: Ex-Blackwater mercs in Syria 'backed by US'

Blackwater already in Syria ?

Here is my research, re-posted in NSearch on

A monster by any other name, is still a monster. there has been rumor for a few years now, that this or organizations like like it are the ones that the corporations are going to turn loose on the American Public, in lieu of getting US Military to fire on US Civilians. The last time the big Corporations attempted a military coup of the US Government was during FDR's presidency. The active duty General they thought was on their side reported them to FDR. These traitors ended up making a deal with FDR and were never charged as the true traitors they were and are. Their successors have not changed and are responsible for much of our very recent financial and legislative history.

Thanks Parsifal for the additional links. These are issues that are so important that are buried at the back pages of the mainstream media IF they are even covered at all. If we reach a few more people, perhaps they will share too and a light will go off with the majority of people to end this bloodshed.

Kevin A (64)

When the big corporations made their coup attempt against FDR's presidency it failed because a loyal Americans general stood by America. As a result the corporations had no military support so their coup failed.

These mercenary forces are "loyal' to the big $$$$$$$$ and nothing else. So if the same families that attempted the coup against FDR are allowed to have these mercenaries inside our borders, then they potentially have their army.

Sheryl G (360)
Tuesday August 7, 2012, 2:39 pm
Exactly Kevin and is one of the reasons, not the sole reason, that this is so disturbing. Remember the shootings in Katrina? I recall some being shot, black men, as they thought they had reach safety. Having waded through the toxic waters with bodies of humans and animals floating by, having gone without food and water, and then having survived the hurricane itself, they saw what they thought was help, only to be shot dead. Hey, a racist with a gun and no one to be accountable to and frankly no one around to report time for some shooting practice.

Here is a link to Smedley Butler that Kevin A. refers to concerning the coup attempt against FDR for those who are interested. Remember, if you do not remember history you are doomed to repeat it again, and again.

The entire mindset of the mercenary differs from that of the soldier in that the soldier is either compelled (drafted) or acts out of loyalty in defense of his country. The mercenary wants money and potentially the "thrill of the kill".

If you want a really scary series of reports on these people, check into the reports by Alex Jones. I hope that he really is just "out there" as many believe and that his evaluation of events is not accurate. But, what if he is correct?

Thanks Dandelion. Eisenhower warned about the "Military Industrial Complex" in his final address as President. JFK warned of a "Shadow Government" and was assassinated shortly after. Bobby Kennedy had those people in his sights, and he was assassinated. MLK worked toward getting the lowest paid people in the country to stand up for themselves against the pillars of power and he was assassinated.
Were the warnings and assassinations coincidental? Or, are those with the true power in this country simply doing whatever is necessary to keep that power? Are these conspiracy theories or conspiracy facts? It has happened before.

The American Revolution was the result of a conspiracy. Fact
The Civil War was the result of a conspiracy. Fact
U.S. involvement in WWII was apparently the result of a conspiracy. (FDR kept news of the Japanese fleet from the Pacific Fleet in Pearl Harbor.) Recently reported.
U.S. involvement in Vietnam was the result of a conspiracy. Fact (Gulf of Tonkin fallacy)
Attempted U.S. involvement is 1967 Six Day war in Middle East. Fact (See attack of USS Liberty)
U.S. involvement in Iraq and current war in Middle East is the result of a conspiracy. Fact (This one is complicated. Either foreign nationals conspired alone to attack the U.S. for which we went to war, or ”The Military Industrial Complex” that two presidents warned us about engineered the attacks to set current events in motion, OR they took advantage of foreknowledge of the attacks to set current events in motion thereby making billions of dollars for the lease holder of the Trade Center, got rid of all of the evidence against Enron, destroyed evidence of theft of trillions of dollars at the Pentagon, and got our congress to accept the “Patriot Act” without a fight). The latter possibility should scare the hell of of everyone.

These were the guys that were shooting people in New Orleans after Katrina and remarked they would rather be in Iraq since they were already in a third world country with less pay.
Blackwater was relocated to Barbados I believe and renamed XE Services International. Since being sold to Monsanto a couple of years ago they have been renamed again. The fact of the matter is they are Monsanto's private army.
By the way Kevin have you ever considered that the American Revolution was started in England by two opposing houses of the bnaking families vying for control of the New World. The Civil war was about Centrallized Banking; WW1 was Rothschild's revenge against the Romanovs in Russia for exposing and defeating the NWO attempt in Bavaria 1870. WW2 was about destroying Germany and creating a utopian state which would be the international juggernaut promoting and implementing the NWO one world government. WW3 will be the destruction of religious Israel and Islam and the complete subjugation of the entire world. Jerusalem will be its capital and Tel Aviv will be the world banking center.
All wars are economic contrived by and for the beneift of the elite 220 ruling families that own 85% of the global wealth and resources.

30,000 troops in Columbia.
America's secret war, one that is NEVER on the mainstream news.
These troops are not limited by 'rules of engagement' - they commit war crimes for profit.
Wake up sleeping Americans, this is what the world experiences in YOUR name.
Wonder why people hate Americans?
If other countries sent hired killers to America, you would hate them too.
Is this what we want other countries to do unto us?
This is what YOUR Congressmen are doing 'in our name'.
America sponsors terrorism and torture.
Obama has not stopped this, as a matter of fact he has added the threat of killer drones.
Where is his integrity?

To put that much power in the hands of a private and, might I add, WELL PAID contractor is obscene! And why the "top secret" status? Even our legislators must be kept in the dark about their activities? They're voting on how our tax dollars are spent --and evidently, these private war profiteers are very expensive! The fact that they're operating within our homeland to maintain order during natural disasters is very frightening. I know this has been attributed to President Bush, but it sounds so Cheney-ish!

Thanks for posting this video, Dandelion!

They've changed their name - but not their style. They are still active in other countries, where they are recognised and hated for their actions - and even more, for their arrogant attitudes to "lesser humanity" (the local people)
Thanks for posting this - sadly, little needs to be changed for this to be a current commentary

John C. as usual, per right on target with your comment. Thank you.

As you bring up the Obama Administration and the killer drones I had also placed a video on concerning that very issue at same time I had placed this Blackwater on. This is what Americans have to realize, both Parties are not doing well by the American people. I know the Democrats are doing better with some social issues, gay rights, on women's reproductive rights, however that is seen as the lessor of two evils so most will flock to the lessor of the two evils for fear of getting in the worse of two evils.

You have the other Party that also feel the same way but with the flip, that Obama is the worse of two evils to them, and some just think Romney is perfect for them, the 1% and the one's the 1% have blinded into slicing their own throats. Unfortunately John not enough of us yet have seen this trap we keep digging ourselves in and that we can move away from the parties of greater and lessor evils. I am seeing more coming out speaking this way, on the fact that they, as Independents, are moving away from both Parties.....just not enough yet.

For those who would like to view the short, but informative video on the Drones you can go to this link:
And Evelyn, you are so correct, little needs changing, this 2007 could be saying the same thing Sonny and Cher sang, "the beat goes on"......"the drones go on"....and on and on and on.......

Blackwater or whatever they call themselves now are mercenaries, guns for hire. Ending the draft in favor of all volunteer army leaves the military short handed. IMO,Most of the US's foreign military bases should be dismantled and the US should not have a standing army, it is too tempting to politicians to start aggression. All of the obsessive war talk on Iran IMO should be a criminal offense.

Noted...great posting, Dandelion, and glad to see others becoming informed. My outrage began a few months after our invasion of Iraq when I read that "mercenary contractors" were being paid 4 times what our soldiers were--for the same job. Jeremy Scahill's reporting and book on this have been amazing.
So, it's "Academi" now, huh? Well, I read that Erik Prince was banished to Dubai---has anyone noticed that Dubai was built in only a couple years? slave labor, BTW. (I wrote my members of Congress some years back complaining that Dubai sprang up almost out of nowhere, while there was still a big hole in the ground where the Twin Towers used to be. There's quite a connection between Cheney & Dubai as well). Erik Prince is also well connected with the Xtian rightwing quite heavily.
