This is a wonderful movie that brings in many human life issues in a story line that revolves around a family, a Grandfather, son, and grandson. Interspersed are various Nations Native American stories all done with some good computer work. Enjoy! Part 1

I think most people can find this a really enjoyable film. Watch it all at once or one section at a time. Lots of various types of information in here as well as a story that surrounds a family. Serious, adventure, trials, funny, happy, sad, courage, love, friendship; it's filled with life, something we all share. Enjoy.

I've watched 6 Parts now.
This movie should be shown in all schools in the U.S. Students would love it. As good as anything I've ever seen and full of things to learn about life, especially about natives. Should be mandatory watching.

VERY EXCELLENT movie, like ten movies in one, poignant, action, love, hilarious----very well made, whoever made it had a great sense of humor too.
I thought Grandfather was great, very funny, very wise. His face looked very familiar.
It was a classic when he was telling his grandson all about power and wisdom and the universe--- from inside of the outhouse! LOL!
Also the spider and coyote, in front of Grandfather Rock, "If we die, who will show the people what not to do...by doing it?" LOL Also, spider says "Our bellies are full and we are happy!" and coyote stops him and says "What Spider means is, we are hungry AND miserable!"....LOL! Could be a great comedy team. Spider also says to Coyote..."You can't trick a trickster!" Valuable lesson.

Pulling up in front of The Big Chief Motel..."Hey, they got cable!" LOL!
How about when Eagle Boy goes to the old woman and she wants him sexually...he looks at the camera and says "Maybe I don't need the water..." LOL!

I recognized Gordon Tootoosis, a familiar face native Canadian actor who played the father of Bluebird woman. I was sorry to discover he passed away in 2011. Didn't know that.

The rescue of the gang members from the river was great. If that's not a way to change an enemy to a friend I don't know what is.

One of my favorites was the Part with Te(x)an the redheaded white warrior. Great lesson. In this case, 'brother', meant more truth than his skin color or where he came from. When he got put back into the white man's fort and world their place and ways seemed so strange to me even...and I could see why he wanted to go back to the Kiowa!

August Schellenberg is the name of the actor, he is Canadian born Metis, Mohawk and Swiss-German decent. So you most likely know him, you had a program in Canada called North of 60 where he made guest appearences as well as he was Sitting Bull in the film, Crazy Horse.

Yes, many life lessons in this film, but done in a really neat way. I agree, it would be a great movie to show to the students and us adults, is why I placed it on here. I agree, the Spider and Coyote are hilarious.

I arose early to watch this once again as the lessons are invaluable. It was done perfectly in my opinion and each time I watch it realize I learn more. I have learned how Special videos or books are that continue to teach however often you read/watch them. As we unfold like an onion so does our our comprehension. My neighbor is unable to get out of his chair these days and as I've shared with him so much about this series he is currently watching it right now.
