During the Vietnam war the politicians learned that allowing the American public to SEE the war, the horrors, the body bags, the bombed villages the children killed and maimed, was not in the best interest of DC. Now our wars are more clinical, more removed, less a part of our lives. When they ended the draft fewer people now "feel" the pain of war. It's no longer young people from every neighborhood, rather young people disparately hoping for any job at all. War has been cleansed, in no small part with a great assistance by the media. The cost of war in human life and national treasure (which is both human and financial) is not honestly reported by either the government nor the media. Since WWII we have not gone for a single decade without a war. Some of them should be a national humiliation. All should be a source of anger and readiness for the public out cry of "NO MORE". But, we are lulled by our own leaders and media into each new war of adventure to a near belief that THIS war is needed. Near belief, because most of us know better, we hear the lies, we know they are lies and most of us do nothing.

I have my ready made sign, Stop The War, I don't need to say which one, is always one going on, and I stand on the side of the road, varying my places so I don't get board and to be reminding different people. I've done this for years, in the north during the warmer weather and now in the south during the cooler weather, at least once a week as my health permits.

I must say, it's been lonely out there Kit.

for everything I followed the short and full version of the film and it made me think of the following; having lived under those presidents and witness, be a part of the past and really not understanding anything of what it meant.
In hindsight, I remember how it turned out with each of theses presidents and what ideologies they were connected with and the common denominator are the Bush influence and connections to the Hitler regime.
The formation of the CIa. unleashed here was nothing but Nazi Germany cloned new Headquarters in the US

D and others; it looks like WW2 never ended, it still continues even until this day. The lust to kill humans and glory over it, are the same people This long film version tells me that the same people and the continuation of the advanced weapontry. came out of Germany. How these sadists get such thrills for the killing of humans, even our own and even the film shows our leaders down thru the decades sold out to the lies and deceptions to us and court us as willing blind fools.
One thing; I have compared the behaviors of Germany ww2 as the same m/o's that are happening her towards the old and everyone else. How the imperialize and destroy a country. It is sadistic and you better not get in their way.
It is good to match the trail of events and see all the players and where they stand and stood. One can connect the dots finally with certainty, the connection of the killings in this country of Kennedy, King and all who oppose them.
I no longer see them as all powerful. I see their days as coming to an end. It is good that they run their mouths and we can now answer questions we couldn't before and understand. Now we can.
BTW D... I came across a video over there that's dated Feb 13, 2013. about the birthiers succeeding in having Obama arrested. They encouraged theirs to keep praying and keep the faith.
These are the same ones who gave us the clown show and behind changing laws, stealing our economy and womens rights with everything else and Bush backers. The religious right.
I laugh at them. Their days are numbered too.
How do I know.. I just do. Can't keep hiding behind God and be the cause of oppression and lies.
I don't give a crap about that birth certificate
I care about people who are oppressed, shut off and shut out. The ones who claim they are so this and that are the cause and affect of WW2 continuing.
I care nothing for the clown show.

I don't know Arild, I'm certainly tired of my own Country thinking that they are.
We are like the unwelcome tornado that funnels through Country after Country and it is to our own impoverishment.

War and combat is horrible. It's all about breaking things and killing people. Those involved are also broken. I would hope our so called leaders would consider the costs before going over that edge. Better yet, an amendment should be proposed and passed requiring any President and all those in the line of siccession to have served honorably in the Armed Forces for at at least 4 years. If combat was present at that time then combat experinece would be required. Wars would stop. The obamas of the world have no concept of what it is like.

The "Look to Norway" speech by U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt was given during the handover ceremony of the Royal Norwegian Navy ship HNoMS King Haakon VII at the Washington Navy Yard on 16 September 1942. The speech served as an important source of inspiration to Norwegians fighting the German occupation of Norway and the rest of Europe as well as for the resistance fighters of other small countries during World War II.

In the speech the President said:

"If there is anyone who still wonders why this war is being fought, let him look to Norway. If there is anyone who has any delusions that this war could have been averted, let him look to Norway; and if there is anyone who doubts the democratic will to win, again I say, let him look to Norway."

And what happened after the tragical disaster,one mental case killed 89 persons 2 years ago on the 22nd of July,what was Norway's answer? "If one person can show so much hate,imagine how much love we can show".

Capitalism is not all bad, but there is certainly a lot to think about as to just how much good it is doing. The USA needs to understand that "new" and "more" and "free" don't always rise to the level of what is really important in life. What about "respect" "love" and "brothers' keeper"? Shouldn't that fit in somewhere in the system? Just sayin'!

Liars and thieves. The lot of them. Despicable chicken hawks who make billions off keeping us afraid and in the dark. I learned at the age of 20 that I could not believe a thing my government told me when I read in the June issue of the Stars and Stripes (the military newspaper) in bold headline print, Nixon's declaration to the American people that we had NO troops in Cambodia, just after I helped load a helicopter on its way to pay our troops IN Cambodia - there were two things the military never messed with, wherever you were, you got your mail and you got paid. Everything about how we got into that war and why we stayed so long was a lie, fruitless, barren. And all of it sold to the American people by our political leaders and the panting press on the nightly news. Things have not improved. The public's business is still conducted behind closed doors and we are lied to by all of them. Our "system" is as rotten at its core as any in the world. What you cannot do in public, you should NOT do in private. Transparency is what we need in politics, business and reporting. Who are you speaking for? Who owns your media and what profit do they make from what they spin? Who are you representing when you send assassination squads abroad either people or drones to kill people with no due process? Who is in line to profit from maintaining our insane tax code just the way it is? There are a million questions and in return we get a million lies. I am beginning to think it is time to junk this system entirely, everywhere and try something completely new. There are ideas out there that would produce more equitable distribution of wealth, better health and mandate transparency in all things. We could do it. I think someday we will HAVE to do it or we will find ourselves at war all over the world, each country within itself fighting what will be essentially civil wars for freedom, transparency and fairness in all business and political life. What we are doing is insane and people are beginning to realize that talk only serves those who hold the reins of power, they're good at talk, they're good at blame, they are NOT good at honesty, compassion, love OR sharing. A world at war, with itself. Isn't as far fetched nor as far off as you might think.

I had a brother in law who was in the Vietnam war. He was exposed to agent orange seen friendly fire and forever scarred. Many of my childhood friends went to Vietnam. So I have seen the affects of that one personally.
Another thing; all of those people in the forefront of our governmental problems i.e Koches, John Birch Societies, Libertarians (all the same animals) and any others you may think of are out of the WW2 era, with CIA connections all connected to family Bush. President Nixon and those involved in the said murder Of President Kennedy.. All connected. So when I see this video I remember documetaries here and there of what President what linked to whom.

As I remember; Pres. Nixon kept evidence that hanged him and stuff is tucked here and there about these implications.

So it all goes back to the same threads.. that is WW2... Nazi's, then and now in America. Boy are we so lucky.. Not!
They are a strange Bunch.

Every time I see them laugh and talk about the horrors of war( as in this video) like killing and destruction is a badge of honor and those dead are trophies. The celebrating is so gleeful.

The eeriness of it is so, cause they know they are lying and it just doesn't bother them.
Hitler didn't take over the world for money, it was to rule and wipe out an enemy for some reason, he loathe.
I set my mind to analyse that.It made me think it was all about those robber barons? I kinda felt he blamed them for the condition Germany was in and he wiped out everyone.. But then of course it was more to it than that.
All those peoples minds he managed to poison. He cleverly invented his on controls and they followed very obediently.

What got me is.. all those people whose heads he could control willingly. And the anatomy of how he could invade a country and divide it and its own country men would do the slaughtering for him.

I was/am so amazed how the entire planet was engulfed in that war and how many nations championed him to be under his banner. I didn't know it was so widespread and included so many countries. I thought it was just countries to his right and left of him.

It's only recently my eyes came open. even Japan was under his banner.
It's more than just about the money about war. It's ideologies and dominance. Like what is happening here in the states as well.
I don't understand why there is no other product to grow an economy except death?

I read the book 365 Days not too long ago..It was my dads from his days serving in Nam. Too bad i cant talk to him about it cuz he died in 1985 from cancer caused by agent orange. (Funny now how many claim agent orange was salt water)
The book made me feel like i was there and the things that went on and that are still going on is disgusting and UNACCEPTABLE. EVERY POLITICIAN that DARE send a single man or woman into combat needs to have been a soldier themselves at one point. ON THE FRONT LINE or working as a medic. They have NO RIGHT to do what they are doing.
What humans do to eachother, other creatures and this planet is APPALLING.

First of all let me express my condolences for your loss. I know of friends who lost their lives to Agent Orange and had a hard time getting help for their disability due to many years of it not even being recognized as it being their exposure to it had caused their medical condition. I'm sure you Father went through that same painful ordeal too.

You are so correct, no one should be able to be President, Commander in Chief without having served and not in a back room pushing papers position either. I think that those who serve in Congress and the House should also have served with the exception of the Women for they are the Life Bearers. Is how it use to be in many of the tribes of the First Nations and American Indians, the men never went to war until the women had their say and made the final decision as to yes or no. They brought in life therefore they understood that taking life was a serious consider and wasn't taken lightly.

Also C2 has now changed and one can give a daily star now. Amazing.

Thanks Dandelion.. My mom is positive that agent orange is the reason I have so many health issues as well as it killing my Dad. My sister was conceived b4 my Dad was FORCED over there and is completely healthy. I on the other hand am a mess :) Veterans outreach has so much documentation that the children conceived after exposure have major health issues but the govt DOESNT CARE. My father was 38 when he died. THIRTYEIGHT!!!!!
His father was in the hospital at the same time with a different cancer and they died with in 6 months of eachother. My Grandmother buried her husband and her child w/in 6 months. HOW MANY Congress members have sent THEIR kids into battle? I'd LOVE to know.
All those UNEARNED BENEFITS congress usurps after getting thrown out of office for screwing things up? Those benefits BELONG TO VETS & their FAMILIES. Greedy bastards dont deserve a dime after they leave. get on unemployment, SS and medicare like everyone else.
Better yet, since they cant do their jobs, throw them on the front lines. make them useful for something.
Grade school children can balance a budget better than they can.
Sorry, but Ive had it with their games, excuses, LIES, GRAND LARCENY on the innocent, their selling us out while they profit, their SICK arrogant IGNORANT statements/ACTIONS while they do NOTHING for what they are paid for. (Now to be fair here, there ARE members that do care and for that I have the utmost respect!)

These are the uncounted tragedies that are not tallied in when the Greedy Ones and the Heartless Ones choose to go to war. We are seldom it ever told the truth why we are going off to war, I was in great hope that after VietNam it would not happen so lightly again. But the Heartless Ones have other plans for us, they wait until a generation has gone by and the previous war fades into the back drop. A new crop of warriors to be born who will be easier targets and then create more Lies and off we go again.

We have all been told that we have the most advanced technology, our air space is covered, we'd know if a missile was coming in, we have intelligence working around the clock, we spend more on our military protection than many Countries in combination, yet this still happened? So we must come to one conclusion or the other, either they lied about all of this protection we have and how great everything is or this event was allowed to set up the events to go into Iraq as it had nothing to do with Afghanistan.

Isn't that what happned?

Is true that the Agent Orange has inflicted terrible medical issues into the children of those who were exposed. I do know of others whose children were affected and all of the VietNam children that are born deformed today from the exposure to Agent Orange that is still in their environment and also comes through their parents. The Heartless do not care what has happened to you or to the then unborn children that would suffer in VietNam that had nothing to do with what was going on by the adults of the day. They are born into suffering and not one apology is given to all those children or to yourself.

Your Father, without his knowing it, had survived the bullets but he did not survive, yet his name will never go on the Wall in Washington, yet he died as a result of going to VietNam. My friends husband who put a bullet to his head back in 05 from his suffering of what he'd seen, of too much he knew, of the affects of Agent Orange plus the shrapnel still in his body, his name will not go onto that Wall. Yet he never came back from VietNam, his body did his mind didn't and his body never functioned well afterwards along with his mind. The boyfriend that was so sweet who played guitar songs he made for me and lovingly looked out at me with those gorgeous blue eyes, a doomed before it started relationship when his friend knocked on my door to say he had brought him for help as his mind snapped. He was drawing pictures on the wall at their shared apartment of bombs dropping onto people, those nice blue eyes looking out in fear and bewilderment from a man who had spent too long captured and held in what was called "tiger cages".

Today, they return from Iraq being exposed to Depleted Uranium and that is left behind in the environment for the people of Iraq to suffer with as the VietNamese suffer with Agent Orange. Women afraid to have children for they are being born with terrible deformities, but that isn't spoken about on our Corporate Media News that will only tell us so much and that isn't much at that. These service members are also suffering from strange symptoms so it is something that just destroys people, families, societies, and Countries by the Greedy and Heartless Ones who are actually sick and twisted and set up the systems that indoctrinate us to follow along with for their personal agenda.

Judy just placed a story on the other day that needs more attention. When you stated your Father was only 38 as this man is only 33..........another of whose life is barely a notice by a sleeping American public that buys into the lies all too often. These are the ones that the Greedy Ones want to cut back on for the shared sacrifice. The only ones who sacrifice is the common people......there is no sharing here.
Everyone Should Know of Tomas Young and I mean REALLY know of him before they agree to more military actions

If the American people would realize it is even more Patriotic not to do things that causes the death of too many innocents, suffering, a financial hardship on a Nation of people, and damage to the environment. We also don't need to keep going this way in a debt economy. We can kick the Banksters to the curb and our own government can print it's own money, we could be out of debt asap without it squeezing the Elders, the Disabled, all the children to death with it's merciless austerity programs. John F. Kennedy started to do this, he started to have the Silver Certificates printed to wean out the currency printed by the Banksters and to add gradually monies backed and printed by our Government. I so admire your calmness Dandelion. and your dedication to getting the truth out. I can only imagine all the facts and figures you know off the top of your head. lol Seriously, you should run for office. SERIOUSLY!
I am sorry about your boyfriend and what could have been. I am sorry for all the others who have been harmed due to greed and power hungry evil. I was told my Dad was not the same when he came back as well. How could he be? How can any of them? I understand patriotism but not following blindly.

The only thing that makes any sense to me is that everything happens for a reason. Everything that happens is part of a much larger plan. Each person charted out their life b4 being born and chose to experience certain situations to learn certain lessons so the spirit can evolve to a higher level.. The crazy question is WHY would one to choose to be born sick or deformed or to be held captive or to try and destroy an entire race. We will never know and just have to have faith that this is all just an illusion and that there are better things to come. (Jesus and the afterlife)
Youd think the govt would get it. Whats the definition of insanity? Doing something over and over trying to get different results? History does repeat itself. Its sad that leaders who TRULY care and want to make a difference dont last very long. Kennedy is a great example.

I know a lot of people believe as you do, that we pick our path before we are even born. I never squabble with ones personal religious points of view, for it is that, personal. However, in the ways of my teachings we are here today to take full responsibility for our actions. We make mistakes, we learn from those mistakes, we exisit today through the many billions of years of evolution, from the first spark of life by our Creation to the point of conception, it was a process of events that led up to our "being".

Now that we are a Human Being......it is up to each of us to use our "gift" in this form to do our best to live on the Highest plane Spiritually as we can confined in this form. I do believe there is a release from this body and that we go on in a bodiless form of conscious energy. I just don't know if we pick coming back to this one place called the earth when there is an entire cosmos that awaits us, an unending universe to explore. Would I limit my conscious self to return to another body? To once more limit myself. I don't believe I would but that is my opinion on things. I think maybe if one has limitless options and wants to return to this place perhaps they do. I think I've seen enough of this place that I'd like to move on to another spot, maybe one where the inhabitants already are living peaceful in among themselves as they've advanced to that place. Perhaps that is heaven?

But while I am here, and here is all I have, I will do what I can to spread the seeds of opening eyes, that we do not have to blindly follow those who keep pushing us into wars upon wars. That as a people we can all stop refusing to take part in that. But that is a choice each one must make, is why I say, educate yourself, learn from the past and teach to others what you know to be Truth via your own personal experiences. Too many suffer needless, Fathers are lost to their families to soon, Mothers cry as they bury their children when it should be the other way around. I don't want more generations to have to experience what your family has gone through. Is why I speak up, today in my Heart it states to speak up and speak out against the War Machine, the Greedy Ones, the Heartless Ones.

That is were my calmness comes from that you feel in your own way. It is a Peace in knowing that instead of just sitting back or falling by the wayside, I stand up to the injustice the best way I can, even if my voice is small and weak in the roaring of the Powerful Heartless Ones. I'll continue to be the pesky mosquito and when it is my time to leave I know I'll have done my part on the side of Truth and Love. I don't think I will have a need to come back for I did what I could while I was here.

and I agree with all you said about not choosing to come back here, but our mind is different 'over there', IMO anyhow. I was raised Roman Catholic and am not supposed to believe in reincarnation or many other things I believe in. I go with what feels right to me inside. I like your beliefs too and it inspires me to do more so I will be content when I do leave this planet, this time.. :)
