Practically made me cry. Remembering old times. When we really hoped this would happen.

Maybe stopping the Syria bombing, has re-ignited that wonderful Hope again?

Thank you, Dandelion. I'd never heard that song before, but am well aware of Pete Seeger and some of his other songs. So many of us would like to turn Pete's "strangest dream" into reality and will continue working for peace.

It's really sad that such a dream had to be described as "strange." I hope that in the not-too-distant future, our children and grandchildren can refer to dreams about wars and conflicts as "strange."

Thank you for posting this beautiful and hopeful song, Dandelion.

Thanks! I was raised on Pete Seeger's records and have known this song since childhood. It's good to hear it again, even when it is still as urgent a message as it was when he first sang it.

How I wish this dream would come true! What a different world we would all be living in! A world of absolute peace where we could really get to the business of solving problems that need solutions right now instead of always putting them off because of war such as the increasing gap in economic disparity, better education and healthcare for all, finding cures for more diseases which have such a devastating impact on all of us, and progressing toward a greater future where we become truly united instead of so divided! I wonder if this day will ever happen and the next question is when? Will it be too late?

Thank you Dandelion. Noted Now if we could win the war inside this country we may one day have the power of the people again to stop the wars the military complex profit from. It may take a revolution to make it happen but there will be no planet with the destruction caused by corporate fracking, drilling, strip mining, tar sands, and fossil fuels.
