This is just a wonderful video and the man who made it asks for all of us to take care of each other. This was the theme song that was used in the Million Mask March on November 5. I hope that each of you did something that day to take care of each other.

Use this thread to comment about the video or write, if you want to, what you did on November 5 to help each other. Did you attend any activist event on November 5th. If you were unable to attend a demonstration, did you do anything online or place calls to your Representatives. Would love to hear from you all. Remember to trip the light, by us each doing that we can break the night.

Remember we’re lost together
Remember we’re the same
We hold the burning rhythm in our hearts
We hold the flame

We’re gonna trip the light
We’re gonna break the night
And we’ll see with new eyes
When we trip the light

Short takes like this one speak volumes. It reminds me of the song that began in New Orleans and was taped in cities around the world. It is really so much to ask? Just reach out and take care of each other. If we THE PEOPLE will just put aside all the phony political divisions, the artificial ideologies fed to us by those who are looking for gain, we might just see that we are all the same. Thanks Dandelion, I attended demonstration in Dallas and a bigger one in Fort Worth, and felt pretty darned good doing that. Have sign, will travel.

Thank you so much Dandelion..loved this..proves an old "theory" of mine..people are the same world over..they have dreams, aspirations, hope in their hearts for Peace..then there are those that want to squash us......if only we could all rise up United and put our energies to working together.

This is the same video as my favourite on my Care2 Profile Page... it might surpise people to know that Matt is a convert to Sufi Muslim (lives in the UK) - he spreads a very kind message across the world which shows that our perceptions of people (according to race, colour, creed or religion) can be very biased and we should always be open to the truth of what we see. You can see an inteview with him here...

I absolutely loved this! So cheerful and hopeful - if one man could get this many people around the world to participate like this, there is no end to the possibilities.... a million stars to you, Dandelion!

It's a simple and loving thing that's asked of us. Caring is innate; a natural part of who we are or should be. Ty Dandelion for sharing

Actually Col, he is an American not a citizen of the UK. So although the link you listed is a Matt Harding it is the incorrect one. Here is a link to the correct Matt Harding born in Conn. I can see how this would be confusing.

I love this Dandelion!!!!! Made my heart sing.!!I found it online the other day and posted it far and wide, here and there...!!
On Nov 5....I was home by myself all day...no car...very rural dirt rd...few houses. What I did was spend hours online signing petitions... posting "Million Mask March" you-tube messages on my FB page...and signed up to call the White House on Nov11 to ask Obama to grant clemency to Leonard Peltier (previously wrote a handwritten letter)....
Thanks as well for the link to Matts dancer in the traveling dance videos.... What an upper !! We need more of that dancing guy!!

Thanks for posting, this, it is so up beat. I was sitting in a hospital room with my husband on Nov. 5, he had knee replacement. totally forgot the date and couldn't have done anything anyway. I love the concept, though.

Sorry Dandelion, I thought it was the same Matt Harding... The interview with the other Matt Harding (from Uk) was interesting anyway... especially his thoughts on 9/11 in New York from a sufi muslim perspective.

Trip the Light still remains my favourite video on my page... very unifying. The world needs Matt Harding's (USA) message... I did send this video to all my family last year.

Cool! Well, all I got to do was take my husband to his surgeon to take the stitches out of his knee and then take him home again and get him into the house. Not much of a protest but it was my one kind act for the day. :) Oh, ok, I did more than one but they pale next to people all over the world getting out and finally saying NO MORE to the powermongers of the world.

Oh my goodness ladies, so many of you dealing with knee issues. I hope Edith that his surgery was successful and that Terrie your husband will have complete recovery real soon.

Oh, I'm glad you were tracking thread Col and saw the update on the Matt Harding, I did watch the other that you sent as you had seem impressed with the man. Was interesting listening to his journey.

Devon, this is why the internet is so wonderful for those living in rural settings with lack of transportation. So appreciate you brought up Leonard Peltier as I hope others will keep him in mind as well.

Adding my thanks for posting, Dandelion. I, too, was there in spirit....unfortunately was battling a migraine. We didn't have any local plans here....But, this video has really lifted my spirits. We must continue protests/actions of this type, and they must get larger and more encompassing. The explosion of Occupy was an amazing event; and my family joined me at local protests during that time. I really hated to see it all wind down. But, I believe it's greatly helped to change the conversation, educate many, and encourage more to speak out.

I believe Occupy did what you said Lois, and in that respect, it was successful.

I saw this one before - great message! We are all the same, the world over. Let us try to take care of each other, whenever we get the chance, not just on the 5th.

I don't think the concept Mariette that it was taking care of each other solely on the 5th but it was that we all need to stand up for each other as too many in these broken systems globally are suffering. If we don't stand up for each other then who will? Our leadership worldwide has sold us down the drain and the Corporate still continues to pick our pockets clean.

"Their presence now reminds the upper-hand that they are the Awoken. That disregard for political process will not be tolerated and laws, promises and statements will be questioned.

It is a reminder of what this world seems to forget: ‘that fairness, justice and freedom are more than words." Chanté Petersen

Now we must continue to awaken those who slumber, those who are cynical, those who expect others to do their duty for them. It takes us all, young, older, to move our system to serve The People NOT the Corporations solely. A system that respects the Earth and all of her relations not just a few Corporate overlords and their Bankster friends.

It is a good thing to see everyone starting to come together, all the major groups need to not only do their own individual stands but they need to join in major dates, Idle No More, Occupy, Anonymous, Unions, the various Environmental Groups, Animal Rights Groups all need to join as ONE on major dates.

The Anniversary of Occupy, joining on Guy Fawkes day, and other important dates that exist or arise and need action. It is important to support individual actions, to be part of a groups that have gained our attention and efforts, but then the groups must join at critical times as ONE. We are all connected be are starting with a protection of the animals, a forest, the economic fairness, the election reform, GMO's, the Drug War and the Prison Pipeline, if one looks from eyes of Eagle.......they are all interconnected.

Suffering the world over is all interconnected by those few at the top who has made their Vision upon the Earth. But their Vision is destructive, it cares only for bottom line Profits and not how actions impact anyone or anything. It is shortsighted and dangerous to all. Now we, the masses, need to make it OUR VISION.

"A Great Vision is Needed and the One who has it must Follow it as the Eagle Seeks the Deepest Blue of the Sky" Tasunke Witko Crazy Horse

I think with this last action on November 5 we have in early stages beginning this format. I noticed that Idle No More when they are doing actions are asking the others to join them. We may each be guarding and protecting our own areas but .......ultimately we are standing up for the same things in the major places and we can still work on the individual local issues at hand. But we MUST come together on the major places, it will do us no good to save the elephant if the methane gases release in big quantities from the out of control global warming. This experiment is not in a control laboratory, once the reaction reaches a critical mass it is over, it takes a life of it's own. We are there now......and I do not see the urgency by Nations or the people we need.

Having the eyes of Mouse is necessary to see what is at our feet......but having the eyes of Eagles is also in great need at this time.

I loved this SO MUCH! So many places I remember (he even found the HIMBA people in Namibia!)

If I could ''help'' anyone....I'd collect those women who live in such an oppressive "culture" that he must blur their faces while dancing in his film, to avoid unpleasant repercussions!

We all dance to a different beat, yet we all bring it together to make a beautiful thing from it.
