Please sign this petition concerning this video:
Stop The Abuse of Children In The Fashion Industry

With the global clothing and textiles industry now generating upward of 2.5 trillion dollars a year, fashion can afford to offer positive work environments for their models.

I was teaching dance at age 14 but it was my choice. I had to keep my weight down for 40 years and that was my choice too. Nobody "found" me...I found myself! This recruitment is a form of slavery in its' own way. Sadly, there are seedy circles of employers and peers to contend with everywhere, but the minors should have a union and laws in place. Hopefully they have strong family support, as I did, when they begin. Parents who are preoccupied could be accessories to problems.

Noted and gladly signed. My mother was a child model, and suffered the rest of her life from the trauma, and some of the choices she made, due to, especially, the sexual abuse, visited that trauma on the next generation too. Using child models in seductive poses is nothing more than legalized pedophilia and should be outlawed! It's just greedy and insecure parents who are allowing this to happen.

Children are "soft " targets. Having laws are fine it's the implementation that counts! In addition their parents are brainless as most often they are the ones aggressively promoting & encouraging their kids. If one looks at "beauty contests" starting at age one & reality shows such as Toddlers & Tiaras, all equally disgusting & hideous! The clamp down must start with the parents & everything else then follows! France has taken a bold step in banning all beauty competitions for competitors under the age of sixteen.

Same applies to models where they are touted & off course encouraged by parents not to "miss the opportunity of a lifetime." One of abuse, misery, drugs etc. They reach descent just as fast as the ascent !
