Sensational as always! I've seen it so many times & yet it never fails to bring me to tears! If only humans would react in the same manner, there would be peace on earth for all living beings. We all have choices to make in this world. A lesson to be learned from our precious animals who have unconditional love to give no matter what! Indeed they can teach humans about true love. Thanks Andrija my friend!

I, like so many of you, love this story too :) I can't stop a tear of happiness for the chance that Christian was given for a life where he so much deserves. Even my kitty Frankie loves to watch this one with me every time and will sit glued to the monitor and then look at me as if to say "Play it again please Momma?" LOL ~ look for the extended version on youtube, it even shows Christian's parents and a bit more with his pride ~ Wonderful!! :)

Thursday September 2, 2010, 11:54 am
Oh I must note, even though you get to see Christian's parents, that part is sad as I don't know if they were ever returned to the wild, they are shown at the zoo where Christian was born.

This story was actually included in the movie, "To Walk with Lions" a near documentary about George Adamson; and his inspiring work with the lions of Africa.

Bet no one can ever think of lions in same old way again, after viewing this story.

I cried watching is a story that never gets old. How those two guys bonded with that lion then went back and found him, not once, but twice, and the lion even introduced his wife to the boys...well, it always leaves me amazed at the bonds that can be formed between humans and animals. No one had ever seen anything like this before. It is truely amazing. Thank you is a most heartwarming story. Noted, tweeted and shared!

This video always amazes me. So happy to see that Christian remembered them and how happy he was to see them. We think that animals have no memories of people but this proves us so wrong. I wonder what has happened to him since?

Lions are truly my favorite of all of the big cats. This is a wonderful story although it makes me wonder how Harrods managed to obtain a lion cub to sell in their store. Even back in the 60s I would have expected some kind of regulations on selling exotic animals. I'm glad he was finally reintroduced to the wild and I hope he was able to live out his life naturally. I wish the governing countries would make big game and so-called sportsman's trophy hunting illegal. There's nothing sportsman like in killing an "unarmed" animal just for the sake of bragging rights.

Greate video! Lucky It was done considering the technology of the that time. But Lions are social! It must be noted that this is/was unusual! Some big cats are better left in Zoos as they are NOT able nor are people aware of how strong these cats are!

I can't believe I've never seen this before but it clearly shows the greatness of mind in animals. They remember kindness and love and show it in return. There are lessons to be learned in this for us, if we can only open our eyes, minds and hearts to it. Lions rock! :)

This is so touching it made me cry. I heard that they became advocates for keeping animals wild, and don't believe in keeping exotic animals as pets. It is obvious from the video that Christian still cares for them a lot and it shows that animals have feelings and compassion.
