The food we eat – because it often lacks the proper nutrients – is killing us. This year alone over 2 million people will die because they are obese, while over 2 million children will die from malnutrition.
That’s just insane, and something has to be done.
In just a matter of weeks, at the G8 summit in June, world leaders – including the US – are meeting to tackle the issue of food. Let’s make sure they don’t just talk, but they act.

It is insane that with the global resources, which we do have, that such a travesty is occurring. Yet we can't seem to care for our own, let alone the rest of the world. This applies to other countries as well. Over weight people can be malnourished as well http://www.worldwatch.org/node/840

Nope bad idea. We have to solve the problem in the Western World many of the hormones are not tested for their effects. We need to insure that we have food that is safe. Forget wasting time and money on peoples who are not feeding themselves.

We are in 2013, why do we believe it will take 3 whole years to get down to doing this when the food is available and the logistic is in place but just used to make money, why not ask that this be done now, 3 years means we accept that we have more urgent priorities...like what? We must redefine Human rights to start with the right to Life, then our priorities will align with what we have said, voted and supported as Really Important.

Noted/Signed with thanks.
Thousands of British children go to school everyday without having had any breakfast because their families are unable to afford to feed them & many get food from Foodbanks, because they cant afford food, after paying for housing & utilities, as everything is so expensive, and the UK is better off than some countries.
Children around the World, should Not be hungry, going to bed at night... I hope something can be done..

Signed. A very noble cause, but as long as the governments or whatever entity (and also by educating people) don´t tackle human overpopulation and we keep consuming the way we do this is pretty much impossible.
