The Pawnee National Grassland in northeastern Colorado is a national treasure.

Yet the Forest Service wants to open the door for this grassland to be fracked, threatening to turn this special place into another oil and gas patch.

Tell them today that itís time to draw the line on the Pawnee National Grassland. Tell the Forest Service to say ďnoĒ to more fracking and more drilling on the Pawnee.

Because our public prairies deserve to be protected, not pared by fossil fuels.

At nearly 200,000 acres, the Pawnee National Grassland east of Fort Collins is a mixed grass prairie gem that supports an incredible diversity of life. Declining and imperiled wildlife, including prairie dogs, swift fox, burrowing owls, mountain plover, and more call the Pawnee home. Itís an internationally known birding area and a joy to visit.

Itís a vestige of the Great Plains and a reminder that our natural heritage can still thrive.

But the Pawnee canít thrive if itís drilled.

The U.S. Forest Service, which manages the Pawnee National Grassland, is weighing a new plan to govern oil and gas drilling and fracking.

We think there should be only one plan: keep the Pawnee frack free.

Send a letter to the Forest Service today, letís protect our grasslands and our public prairies.

noted and signed petition on 6-12-13 our environment and all of its surroundings are dealing with a lot of other issues and this is the last thing our climate needs right now the environmental protection agency needs to get tough on these companies and put a stop to it for good we have no need for any of it.
