Just when you thought all the talk about Barack Obama usurping the Constitution to bring the United States into compliance with the UN and the Sharia-dominated New International Order was little more than right-wing conspiratorial propaganda—Think Again! The “Appointed One,” in cunning Islamic style, is covering all the bases by laying the foundation, including placing an ally in the United States Supreme Court!

Why is it always after the fact, after the elections and after critical appointments that the real vetting of candidates finally takes place? Simple. When you have a clueless, apathetic and disengaged American populace, coupled with a leftist liberal media that’s already in the tank for the “Messharia,” you take the fast track to confirmation and worry about the repercussions later. After all, it’s a lot easier to select than it is to eject a political appointee.

Elena Kagan’s views render her the first Supreme Court Justice who actively favors the introduction of Sharia law into national Constitutions and legal systems. It’s unprecedented in American history. We now have a liberal, pro-Sharia justice sitting on the highest court in the land. And is it any wonder? After all, as Obama’s Solicitor General, it was Kagan who blocked as many as nine lawsuits from being heard by the Supreme Court. Although the nine cases listed on the high court’s docket had nothing to do with Obama’s eligibility issues, there is no arguing Kagan’s advocacy for Islamic rule and Sharia Law as evidenced below. What do you want to bet that she refuses to recuse herself on any Sharia-related decision and instead leads the charge to legitimize Sharia law in America?

Christine Brim of the Center for Security Policy summarized Kagans’ 2003-2009 career as Dean of Harvard Law School in the following five points. They tell the story of Elena Kagans’ “deep appreciation” of Sharia law.

1. PRO-SHARIA MISSION:
With Kagan’s direction, Harvard’s Islamic Legal Studies Program developed a mission statement dedicated “to promote a deep appreciation of Islamic law as one of the world’s major legal systems.” That mission statement guided her actions and those whom she directed as Dean.

Under Kagan’s direction, her chief of staff at the Islamic Legal Studies Program aggressively expanded non-critical studies of Sharia law – fulfilling her mission “to promote a deep appreciation of Islamic law.” In 2003, the year Kagan became Harvard Law School Dean, Islamic Legal Studies Program Founding Director Frank Vogel and Associate Director Peri Bearman founded the Massachusetts-based International Society for Islamic Legal Studies. In 2007, Bearman and Vogel founded the Islamic Law Section of the Association of American Law Schools.

2. PRO-SHARIA MONEY:
When Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal offered $10 million to New York City’s Rudy Guiliani on October 11, 2001, Guiliani refused to accept it, because the prince insisted that U.S. policies in the Middle East were responsible for the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Guiliani stated, “There is no moral equivalent for this act.” But, when Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal offered $20 million to the Islamic Legal Studies Program in December 2005 – Kagan accepted it; after all, the Saudi royal family had funded the program since its inception to establish the moral and legal equivalency between Sharia law and U.S. Constitutional law. As presidential candidate, Newt Gingrich, has noted, Harvard Law School currently has three chairs endowed by Saudi Arabia, including one dedicated to the study of Islamic sharia law.

In 2001 Guiliani made a decision not to accept Talal’s blood money. But in 2005, Kagan made a decision not just to accept it, but to implement Talal’s policies at Harvard.

Not only there, but as reported earlier this year, “Kagan is the main reason why the Supreme Court ruled against the 9/11 families” in a suit filed by thousands of 9/11 family members that traced funding for the 19 hijackers to certain Saudi royals, along with banks, corporations and Islamic charities. Kagan, as Obama’s Solicitor General, said in her brief “that the princes are immune from petitioners’ claims” and that the families’ claims that the Saudis helped to finance the plots fell “outside the scope” of the legal parameters for suing foreign governments or leaders.

So Kagan actively solicited Saudi financing to promote Sharia law in the U.S., and she actively protected Saudi financial backers for terrorism against the U.S., as being immune from claims by 9/11 families.

3. PROMOTING THE MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD AND SHARIA CONSTITUTIONS:
In December, 2006, Kagan hired Noah Feldman, architect of Iraq’s Constitution requiring Shariah, as a star faculty member at Harvard Law School. On March 16, 2008, Feldman published his controversial article “Why Sharia” in the New York Times Magazine, which promoted “Islamists” – the Muslim Brotherhood – as a progressive democratic party, and promoted Sharia as a model not just for Muslim-majority countries but for all: “In fact, for most of its history, Islamic law offered the most liberal and humane legal principles available anywhere in the world…” The article was adapted from his book The Fall and Rise of the Islamic State, which was published in late March, 2008.

On September 16, 2008, Kagan whole-heartedly endorsed Feldman’s promotion of the Muslim Brotherhood and Sharia Law by honoring him with the endowed “Bemis Chair” in International Law. Feldman’s speech on receiving the award was revealing: he advocated for an international, “outward interpretation” of the Constitution that could “require the U.S. to confer rights on citizens of other nations,” and allow for an “experimental Constitution.”

As to the Muslim Brotherhood, the Islamist worldwide political organization that Feldman and Kagan support? Their motto is as revealing as Feldman’s speech:

“Allah is our objective. The Prophet is our leader. Qur’an is our law. Jihad is our way. Dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope.”

Given that slogan, you could well ask if Feldman really meant the Muslim Brotherhood when he wrote about “Islamists” in the book Kagan so admired that she gave him an endowed chair. And he anticipated that question; in the second footnote in his book he states,

“Throughout this book, when I refer to Islamists or Islamism, I have in mind mainstream Sunni Muslim activists loosely aligned with the ideology of the transnational Muslim Brotherhood (MB)…the Brotherhood broadly embraces electoral politics, but without eschewing the use of violence in some circumstances, notably against those whom it defines as invaders in Iraq and Palestine.”

In summary, Kagan made the decision to honor Feldman, author of “big-lie” forms of pro-Sharia propaganda, supporter of the Muslim Brotherhood, with an endowed chair. Feldman states flatly that the Muslim Brotherhood, whom he admires, does not “eschew the use of violence against those whom it defines as invaders in Iraq and Palestine.” Kagan’s financial backer, Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, insisted that the U.S. policies in the Middle East (specifically in Israel and Palestine) were a cause of the 9/11 attacks. Like the Muslim Brotherhood, the prince did not “eschew the use of violence” against the U.S. And when 9/11 families sued the Saudi royals who funded the September 11, 2001 “use of violence” against the U.S., Kagan used her power as Solicitor General to protect the group that had been her financial backers at Harvard.

It gets better . . .

4. PROMOTING SHARIA IN CONSTITUTIONS WORLDWIDE:
On May 1, 2007, Kagan initiated a lecture series on Sharia Law, named for Abd al-Razzaq al-Sanhuri, a legal scholar who had drafted constitutions throughout the Middle East between the 1930s and 1960s. There are literally dozens of legal reformers throughout the Muslim world that she could have chosen; but she chose al-Sanhuri.

Sanhuri’s career consisted primarily of making sure that the civil and criminal legal codes throughout the Middle East were Sharia-compliant. He drafted the laws that ensured Sharia law took precedence over secular laws. As much as any single individual, he was responsible for the legal drafting for the “Constitutionalization” of Sharia in previously secular Muslim-majority nations in the 20th century, in concert with the political pressure for Sharia by the Muslim Brotherhood, and the financial pressure for Sharia by the Saudi Royal Family.

As legal scholar Enid Hill wrote in her biography of al-Sanhuri,

“The outlines of the future dialectic are thus able to be detected if al-Sanhuri’s specifications are followed: Islamic legal theory versus Western legal rules, and when the Western rules reflect a different underlying theory they are to be eliminated and new rules put in their place, rules that are reflective of Islamic legal theory.”

Or as al-Sanhuri states himself in his book The Arab Civil Code,

“The goal towards which I am striving is that there will be an Arab civil code derived primarily from the Islamic Shari’a.”

Kagan presided over four of the al-Sanhuri lectures before her departure to become Obama’s Solicitor General

5. PROMOTING SHARIA IN THE JUDICIAL COUP IN PAKISTAN

Kagan consistently used her position at Harvard to promote and legitimate the introduction of Shariah provisions into national constitutions, and indeed into Supreme Courts of other nations. In Pakistan however, her influence is having dire consequences . . .

On November 19, 2008, Elena Kagan presented the Harvard Law School Medal of Freedom to Iftikhar Chaudhry, the controversial Chief Justice of Pakistan. Chaudry had been deposed from his post in 2007 by President General Pervez Musharraf in a complex dispute that included the issue of independence of the judiciary. Musharraf later resigned, and on March 16, 2009, the Prime Minister Gilani re-appointed Chaudhry as Chief Justice.

As noted by Department of Defense attorneys from the Clinton and Reagan eras, Kagan’s honoree has mounted a Sharia judicial coup:

“Contrary to the constitution of Pakistan, Chaudhry usurped the right of appointment of vacancies in the court from the elected prime minister and president…In a previous ruling, Chaudhry reaffirmed the right of the court to disqualify members of Parliament, the president and all ministers of the cabinet from serving if they violate “Islamic injunctions,” or do not engage in ‘teaching and practices, obligatory duties prescribed by Islam. “

Given the fact that Elena Kagan is only fifty years old, she could easily serve on the Supreme Court until she’s eighty or beyond. Coupled with Obama’s Muslim upbringing, his anemic support for Israel, his lack of desire to secure the southern border, the ramrodding of Obamacare against the peoples will, joining an international lawsuit against the state of Arizona, his allegiance to Saudi oil magnates, his support of the UN’s Small Arms Treaty, his cosponsoring of a UN bill with Egypt to restrict free speech, the recent corrupt— Operation Fast & Furious, the appointment of his personal minions (czars) and rash of executive orders to circumvent the Constitution, and his latest gaff—resuming talks with the Muslim Brotherhood and the Taliban terrorist organization, is it even a question that the “appointed” one, the “Messharia” to America is laying the groundwork for gradual socialist reform and a syncretism of the Constitution of the United States with the Constitution of Sharia Law? I rest my case!

There's absolutely NO NEED for this type of law in the United States of America. President Obama handpicked and sold Elena Kagan's presence on the Supreme Court for a reason as CarolD has outlined above. So, why do we sit back and accept this? Who are WE as a country? The election of Barack Hussein Obama in 2008 was the end result of what started taking place as early as 2002 when Obama was handpicked and groomed for the presidential win in 2008 by George Soros and other progressive far left wing radicals. All he needed was the "perfect storm" created by media as the country lashed out at George W. Bush for the war in Iraq. The state was set. The "actor" was elected to do his deed going around the world to apologize for our country something no other US President would have ever thought to do. As we have watched Obama in one term bring nearly $7 trillion of debt to our country with absolutely nothingto show for it we should ask ourselves who IS REALLY sitting in our White House? A true American? I think not. Obama isclearly out to destroy our country but first he MUST have control of our healthcare coverage...think The Cloward-Piven Strategy. It's all in there....Obama's blueprint for America.

Concerned Amercans need to be on their feet now and facing east taking a hard look at what is going on with this administration. I've read that the democrats in DC are highly critical of Obama and that Obama is a loner with only afew close supporters such as Valerie Jarrett. Valerie Jarrett highly recommended communist Van Jones as Obama's green czar. Let's get all of them out of OUR White House in November.

Carol, thank you for posting this for us. To this we must also look at the fact that when President Obama bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia this was an act that signaled the citizens of the U.S. that he was placing our Country in subservience to a Muslim Nation. It signaled to our allies that he was showing more allegiance to the Muslim world and thus distancing the U.S. for them. We did not see him bow to the Queen of England, the heads of State of Germany, Japan, Australia or any other of our allies and he even went so far as to gravely offend the Prime Minister of Israel and then tried to tell him that they had to have our approval to defend their own Country from Muslims.

Kagan is not the only person he has appointed with Sharia-dominated order, one of our Federal agencies has a Muslim as it's director as well.

President Obama has surrounded himself with extremely controversial Cabinet appointees as well as to the Bench. It is no wonder that the Constitution has been not only challenged, but has even been circumvented numerous times by President Obama and his administration. As conscientious citizens of this Country we must take careful and honest stock of his job performance, the very nature and personal agenda of President Obama, the people he has selected to be his advisers and where all of this has led and will continue to lead the U.S. under his Presidency. We have to be sincere and honest and ask if this is really where we want to see the Country heading and if we are conscientious U.S. citizens that want the best for our children and to leave the best of the U.S. for their children and future generations, we must make our vote count in November and we must see that Barack Obama is voted out of office; there is no other recourse for the United States. WE are not a Muslim country, we are a National that allows religious freedom to all and that has separated Church and State for one very specific reason, to ensure that everyone has the freedom to their religious belief, even those that have made the decision to be atheists. That means that we do not cater to any religious group, including Muslims and that we maintain our position of loyalty to our allies.

Again, Carol, thank you for this opportunity to look closer at our President and his appointments and to determine honestly and factually where he is leading the U.S. and to make our conclusion as to whether we follow him for another 4 years or set the U.S. back on the right path and return to what we stand for as a Nation.

There's a big difference between Sharia Law, the law of the land, and different religions who believe in God and the individual interpretatons of the Bible. Sorry, but that dog won't hunt. Any law that would encourage the killing of women albeit wives, daughters, female family member is simply not about God. It's about "control."

Trust me, we aren't going to allow our country to be a country that promotes murder because a woman looks at another man. We won't have "to deal with it." This country will simply not allow it and Elena Kagan shouldn't be on the Supreme Court based on her beliefs. How did this happen? President Obama set the stage. Obam is corrupt and blatantly un-American. He fooled many Americans in th beginning but never underestimate the American people in the end. We know what we have to do because we hold the "weapon" our votes in November. I've thought that the best place for Obama to "reign" is in the Middle East. He'll feel more accepted there.

Tara Jane, I believe the second round of Americans are now on her feet and facing east. There's a tremendous amount of buyer's remorse and I believe they'll understand by reading this article and connecting the dots of Obama's "I'll fundaentally change this country" crusade. All Obama has delivered is financial chaos and a healthcare bill that is unconstitutional. His weakness with regard to foreign policy is despicable and blatant.....he acts more like a mobster than a President. Obama needs to be given his walking papers and where he goes after that is unimportant.

Diane O...I agree with your statement about any religion who encludes " killing of women albeit wives, daughters, female family member is simply not about God. It's about "control." I have to only assume you have read the Christian bible and know that those things all exist within it.

Obama is not our problem and he sure as heck hasn't proven to be the solution either..he has done more for the Bush cause than for the left no doubt... but the alternatives are worse. It really is interesting, and it should be upsetting to non-extremist that are Christians, to see/hear how the rightwing side have so many political candidates running that promote social hate/violence/fear as their political plateform and that do want religious laws passed by our Congress...but it does help others to see that they are the worst possible people to be elected next time. This article/thread certain shows that the thought of religious laws aren't ok if they are not of their choice of religion. I hope it is food for thought as to why chruch and state must remain seperate. Religious freedom as well as the freedom from religion is a good thing I beleive but forced religion, as I've said on a number of care2 threads, is never a good thing for a nation or it's people as a whole.

All in all , it is a serious topic but not as cut and dry as many might think as to religion becoming governmental laws....which in America simply means that every religion should have or will have a shot as it being their religions laws. To me if one has that chance then they all should unless we want to live in a fascist or theocracy/police state where one gorup gets to decide what religion all must follow , the same as those in the middle east are currently,..and as I have pointed out...which religion it might end up being here is up for grabs so how about we keep [and enforce]..as already mentioned..seperation of church and state in the U.S.

You need ANYBODY but him in the White House and the pickings are slim for sure but at least the ones trying for the office are fiscally conservative.

Religion of any kind has no place in politics but that being said if a prayer is said before a meeting - oh well. No skin off my nose because decisions made in that meeting are made according to a democratic vote of elected officials - not via any religious teachings as they should be.

Separation of church & state is a core value of America.
No religion should have undue influence on our government.
Tax-free status also violates this premise.
No "Prince of Peace" would endorse this type of story.
Many people came to America to escape religious persecution.

Thanks I love those beautiful green stars. However, what I love more is my beautiful country and I cannot stand idle while President Obama is breaking our country down piece by piece. You know, he's a sly one on one hand and blatantly transparent on the other. It is almost as of he is so wrapped up in "acting" that he forgets where the hell he is and that's when he trips up. I am thoroughly embarrassed by my President from the moment after he was inaugurated going around the world apologizing for our great country to spending an entire year on the unconstitutional ObamaCare (Cloward-Piven Strategy) while our small businesses were dying on the vine....Obama didn't care that 53% of our middle and lower middle class Americans are employed by our small businesses. Over that time period the small businesses were hit with higher taxes and a penalty if they did not provide health insurance and then they started shedding jobs and stopped growing their businesses. And during that time, Obama sealed his legacy healthcare bill. First things first.

So, I ask the liberals, what about this brightens your day when you know the President has failed at everything including foreign affairs? I didn't think any President could be worse than Jimmy Carter in destroying our foreign relationships but I was wrong. And, to our liberals, how do you feel about the outrageous gas prices and President Obama riding in driving a taxpayer funded Volt opening the pipeline???? If you don't think we have a comedian as a President who isn't getting any laughs then you haven't been paying attention. 68% of Americans have been paying attention.

I'm beginning to believe that someone needs to do a serious study to discover if people on the left or right live longer. Just from observing comments like so many of these, I'd bet money (and I don't gamble) that people on the right have more strokes and heart attacks than anyone else. All the imagined conspiracy theories, misinformation and deep down hatred of so many things is bound to hurt the human system. I truly have sympathy for all of you, you can't be very happy people.

Gayle, may I suggest that you save your sympathy for those who might find value in it. Those of us on the right are strong, healthy and paying attention to the last four years of "Life with The Obama's in OUR White House." We've watched Obama spend nearly $7 TRILLION, yes that's with a "T" of taxpayer money and what has he accomplished? The Lily Ledbetter Act? That would be it. At the moment, the SCOTUS is leaning towards repealing the entire healthcare bill. 26 states have denied Obamacare. 68% of Americans want ObamaCare repealed. That doesn't make me angry. That makes me very happy. How does that make you feel? Angry...mad? It's not appropriate for me to use the word "hatred" here.

Quite frankly, I can conjure up a tad of sympathy for those of you who voted for Barack Obama because you obviously did so without vetting him. I don't believe many of you read his racist book "Dreams From My Father." Many of you cast a "feel good vote" in 2008 instead of making an intelligent choice. And, I'm not talking about John McCain. I'm talking about Hillary Clinton. Once your party threw her under the bus to make room for the Messiah, I knew right then that "intelligence" wasn't a factor in that decision. In essence, you threw her away and made room for a colossal loser....and a BIG spender who happens to be a liar and getting better every day developing his singing and acting skills. Meanwhile, the debt gets higher every day but at least Obama is having fun honing new skills.

We aren't full of hatred...we are truth seekers....and we are tenacious in uncovering the truth. Once we discover the facts we bring those facts to the people here on Care Two. The problem with the democrats is that they aren't use to hearing the truth especially from President Obama so to many of you it is unrecognizable. How do I know this? Because you confuse the truth with hatred.

Food for thought between the Liberals and the Conservatives....Does anyone see any of these in todays political scheme of things!?!? Do we see this happening today!?!? Mmmmmmmmm....you be da judge!!

People who don’t follow politics tend to believe that conservatives and liberals are just flip sides of the same coin. In other words, conservatives are pro-life, pro-gun, and fiscally conservative while liberals are pro-choice, anti-gun, and want to tax and spend, but otherwise, there are no real differences.

However, if you follow politics closely, you’ll find that there’s a gulf as wide as the ocean between the average politically active conservative and the average politically active liberal. We don’t just have political differences; we view the world through very different eyes.

Of course, I don’t want to oversell this because as Americans, conservatives and liberals are more alike than different. There also tend to be differences between people who are heavily politically involved and those who aren’t. This column focuses on those of us who are more politically active, as opposed to people who don’t pay much attention to politics.

I’d also add that in every category, you’ll find exceptions that prove the rule. Moreover, sometimes you’ll find both conservatives and liberals engaging in the same behavior, although one side tends to do it much more than the other. All that being said, after spending a decade blogging, here are just a few of the genuine differences that have become apparent over the years.

1) Conservatives are more patriotic than liberals: Conservatives tend to focus on the positive things about America, while liberals focus on the negative. If the first thoughts that came to your mind when you thought of America were “slavery,” “imperialism,” and “unfairly using too much of the world’s resources,” you probably wouldn’t like America very much either. Conservatives, on the other hand, look at the fact that we saved the world in WWI, WWII, and the Cold War, take pride in the fact that we have contributed so much to the planet, and believe America has had a tremendous positive impact on history. The conservative view produces love of country. The other view produces a deep seated dislike of our nation.

2) It’s socially acceptable for liberals to lie about conservatives: Whether you’re talking about theNew York Times, The Washington Post, or the Daily Kos, it’s considered to be perfectly acceptable to lie about conservatives. That’s because, as Charles Krauthammer once said,

To understand the workings of American politics, you have to understand this fundamental law: Conservatives think liberals are stupid. Liberals think conservatives are evil.

If you think your opponents are evil, you tend to be okay with using tactics that you would describe as “evil” under other circumstances to fight them. If you’re up against people you compare to Nazis, it’s easy to tell yourself that lying to beat them isn’t so bad. If you’re in a dispute with people who you believe are just too stupid to understand what’s going on, you feel compelled to try to explain yourself a little better.

3) Conservatives are results-oriented. Liberals are not: If you understand one thing about liberals, understand this: Liberalism is nothing more than “childlike emotionalism applied to adult issues.” That’s why they don’t care very much about whether the programs they advocate work or not. Proposing programs isn’t really about what will help the most people to liberals; it’s about making them feel good about themselves. On the other hand, conservatives are results-oriented, which is why they tend to be so down on the government, which is inevitably slower, more expensive, and less effective than the private sector at pretty much everything.

4) Conservatives care about the Constitution. Liberals don’t: Conservatives believe that we need to try to interpret the Constitution in the way that the Founders intended it to be read and if we want to change it, then we need to pass a Constitutional Amendment. Liberals believe in a “living Constitution,” which is functionally no different than believing in no Constitution at all. If you believe in a “living Constitution,” you think it is okay to do whatever you want for political reasons and then come up with a legal justification afterwards, which you’ll then call “constitutional law.”

5) Liberals are much more misogynistic than conservatives: If you’re a prominent conservative woman, you will be deluged with rape threats, death threats, attacks on your family, attacks on your looks, and offers to give you a good screwing as a public service. In other words, what you’ve seen with Sarah Palin is actually the same thing that happens to most prominent conservative women, but on a larger scale. That’s not to say that liberal women don’t get some of the same treatment, but it’s several orders of magnitude worse for women on the Right.
That’s largely because liberals claim the “feminist” mantle and so, if they’re feminists, then obviously they can’t be “anti-woman” no matter what they actually say, right? Even worse, most of the actual feminist women on the Left tend to either participate in the abuse or, alternately, turn a blind eye to it as long as it’s aimed at conservative women.

6) Conservatives are happier people than liberals: Despite all the claims you hear that conservatives are angry, cruel, and mean, conservatives are much happier people than liberals. This is something that has been consistently proven in studies and, let’s face it — anyone who knows a lot of liberals and conservatives will tell you that it’s not a surprise. Conservatives love the country they live in, they’re more likely to be Christian, and they take responsibility for their own lives instead of griping that the world is terribly unfair. If you want to be a happy person, you’re more likely to be a happy conservative than a happy liberal.

7) Conservatives are better Christians than liberals: Certainly there are debates about social conservatism and Christianity on the conservative side of the fence, but Christian conservatism is considered to be a honorable and important part of the Republican base. People are going to hate to hear this, despite the fact it’s absolutely true, but Christianity and liberalism have become largely incompatible. That’s because there are so many liberals who are implacably hostile to Christianity that liberal Christians are left with one of two unpalatable choices. Either they can water their Christian beliefs down into thin gruel so as to be compatible with liberalism or liberal Christians can choose to be cringing dogs and keep their mouths shut while their beliefs are regularly insulted, demeaned, and attacked by their fellow liberals. Neither option should be acceptable to someone who has a strong Christian faith.

Gayle, here in Canada the Canadian Muslim Association fights the appearance of Sharia law on all fronts. They say it is unconstitutional, anti women, abusive and the list goes on.

This 'story' is not news, it is a shameful experience of the hate-filled conservatives in America. The whole world is watching this show of hate and immorality being displayed by Republcans. In case Norm cannot get back in here, I'll give you what I know about the T-shirts. At the 2006 State of the Union, Cindy Sheehan wore a T-shirt that said something about those killed in Iraq and was removed from the gallery and charged with unlawful conduct. The charges were dropped later. Beverly Young, wife of Bill Young, R-FL was also removed -- they did not understand the message on her shirt. As far as I know, she was not charged with anything.

It should be stated here that arresting someone for wearing a t-shirt is a one time occurrence and is not imbedded into our society. It's an iolated incident. Sharia Law degrades and murders women. It's not a one time occurrence it is their "law of the land" and its connotation that is frightening.

President Obama stacked the deck with Elena Kagan. He promoted her for a reason. He also appointed a communist, Van Jones, as his green czar. Never underestimate the devious deeds of President Obama. He uses The Cloward-Piven Strategy as his blueprint for Amerca. Elena Kagan is but one small piece of the larger picture as was Van Jones. But, when you put them all together, connect the dots, you clearly see the blueprint .

To those of you who are skeptical you might consider rereading this article and then doing more research on your own. Our media, unfortunately, is left wing controlled. We all know that. NO theocracy, of any kind, should happen here. I'm a Christian, which means I follow what Jesus said, and those who claim his name but promote violence are not Christians at all. He did not teach us to kill, rape, beat wives, and when it came to stoning adulterers, he STOPPED it. I don't want a Christian theocracy either. Church and State should be separate, and our founding fathers observed that this benefitted the church side as well as the state.

Sharia is barbaric. It is not compatible with western democracy or with human rights as understood in the west. Look at countries living under it. No freedom of religion or expression, barbaric punishments of stonings, hangings, amputations, and beheadings. Women are worth half a man, including court testimony. We see beatings as abuse, they define beating a wife as a mercy to her.

Why any progressive or pro-woman or pro-LGBT person would in ANY way favor Islam, which is, according to Muslims who actually live according to the quran, INSEPARABLE from sharia, is beyond me. Where are the feminists? They cry about a war on women now? Wait until we have sharia to see what war on women really looks like. Your word is half a man's, you inherit half what your brother gets, you need to cover up even if you aren't Muslim, and you can't leave the house without a man's permission. And your husband can't rape you. The quran says you put out when he wants it, and so does sharia, and if you don't comply, he can beat you (this was the issue when the NJ judge refused a restraining order to a Muslim wife who'd been serially raped and beaten: his RELIGION said that's his right, so the judge followed sharia not local domestic violence laws). Islam insists on death for gays. They don't all agree on how. Some sects hang them, some favor burning, or throwing from "high places." Apostates also get a death sentence. Freedom of religion under sharia means you are free to convert, if you don't you are subject to heavy taxation until you feel yourself to be subordinate to your Muslim neighbors, or possibly death if you won't join up. If you DO convert, there ends your freedom. Death for apostates. You can't leave without endangering your safety. Luckily in the west the droves of people leaving Islam make it impossible for the penalty to be applied, but for those in Muslim countries, they are at serious risk.

As far as social justice, charity is for other Muslims only, and even then the wrong sect is out of luck. While America got trashed for not sending enough money for the flood victims, we sent a LOT more than Muslim countries, even ones with lots of oil wealth.

If Kagan is pro-sharia, that automatically makes her anti-woman and anti-gay. Also anti-Bill-of-Rights. And anti-human-rights.

That's what Conservatives do....they speak out, no matter what the party....if a president is doing wrong, we call them out on it...that's why "we the people" have that right. Jesus taught love your neighbor as yourself, even your enemies, to forgive those who do you harm, to not judge anyone or cast stones at them, to turn the other cheek when someone strikes you, and he never said a word against gay people (despite what some who 'claim' to be his followers say), he scandalized his community by befriending women and having them as friends, etc etc. It's all about peace, love and non-violence. Just because it is very hard to live and few have ever lived his teachings don't demean them at all.

Mohammed, if you would do some studying, taught the exact opposite of all that Jesus taught. He taught to only love your Muslim neighbor (even his moon god Allah doesn't love non-Muslims), to hit back if struck, to kill and steal and take and have slaves. Islamic/Sharia law has rules like cutting off hands/feet of thieves, killing those who criticize Islam or leave it (no freedom of religion, conscience or speech in any Islamic occupied land), the killing of gay people and the stoning of rape victims because Allah says they are liars if they can't produce 4 Muslim men as witnesses!

Islam's 'morality' which Muslims make much of as for its superiority to the West's, allows men to slake their lust on up to 4 'wives' and divorce is easy (for men anyway, and Saudi Arabia the seat of Islam has the second highest divorce rate in the world), they can 'marry' little girls and have sex with them (as Mohammed himself did with 6y/o Aisha), slavery is still condoned, sex slaves are condoned (as long as they're not Muslims), non-Muslims are to be treated as second class citizens and can never be equal to Muslims, and parents or grandparents can kill their children/grandchildren and there is no penalty, or question. Men can beat their wives and Allah commands Muslims to take retribution. There's so much more. This bears zero similarity to what Jesus taught.

Mohammed was a bandit, raped captive women and took some as 'wives' and others as sex slaves (he had a harem of each), he kidnapped people for ransom, was a mass murderer (he had 900 Jewish men and boys beheaded for refusing to convert while he laughed at the horror and divided up their property, including their wives, taken as sex slaves or sold). He was an adulterer, liar, and cruel man who ordered some people to be horribly tortured. He captured, owned, traded and sold slaves (still condoned in Islam. Muslims were the biggest slave traders for centuries and some still are). Allah condoned Muslims' raids and massacres of other peoples and gave them 'booty' as a just reward, of course he said Mohammed should get the biggest share!

There are few true Christians, and never have been many, but people who follow Old Testament laws or the rantings of the women-hating, homophobic Paul, but few who have ever followed the teachings of Jesus himself. BUT to equate Christ's 'laws'/teachings with those of one of the most evil men who ever lived, Mohammed, is incredible! Carol, this administration has not changed one of those safety measures. That should tell our Obama worshipers something about how effective they are. Part of the Patriot Act is for banks and investment companies to watch for unusual activity in their accounts. For instance, a new client gives limited information but enough to open an account with $100,000.00. Three days later, the money leaves, going to another bank or investment company. That's what is called money laundering, moving it around until it gets to the right person who will then pull the funds out of the account and distribute it perhaps for bomb supplies. Another example would all of our small businesses who sell certain types of chemicals....beauty supply outlets that cell acetone in large containers, etc. If someone orders over a certain amount of that it must be reported to the government....that's The Patriot Act.

When I read the absurd comments by some liberals about how bad The Patriot Act is I KNOW they have no idea what it was designed to do. Bottom line, CarolD, history will be very very kind to George W. Bush. President Obama is actually making him look like a saint.

But quite frankly, they HAVE been doing all that stuff, and the Patriot Act hasn't done anything to stop it. Meanwhile my grandma gets felt up or nudie pictures every time she flies. Is that what YOU would prefer? TSA hasn't stopped a single terror threat on a plane, it was all done by observant passengers. What happened to innocent until proven guilty? What about being protected from unreasonable searches? And now under the auspices of VIPER they are doing that same BS on trains and interstate highways!

God bless him, the head of Amtrak said never again on their property. And in their intense cleverness, the vipers frisked people coming OFF the train who went inside to use the bathrooms (everyone in the terminal got screened including little kids on the way to the parking lot who had to peeeeee mommy!) but anyone not going through the building, such as most of the passengers getting ON the train, weren't screened.

They come in via the border with Mexico and it's really easy. They just have to learn a bit of Spanish. And they are immigrating with little oversight as to just who are they all. I'm sure some of them are nice, decent people looking for a better life. I'm also sure some of them are not nice at all and only coming to cause mayhem here. Did you READ this article?? They have already infiltrated the government, and fund their way to our compliance all over the place, and that's despite the Patriot Act. They don't even have to launder money. Suhail Amen is an open supporter of Hezbollah and active in an organization that funds them and their terror acts. Does the Patriot Act stop her? HA! The feds can't talk about Islam in counter-terrorism training. How is the Patriot Act helping with THAT? Your preamble was quite reasonable and philosophical. Unfortunately, you did not know when you were ahead of the game and proceeded to completely prove how disingenuous was your ode to rational.

I guess you missed the fact that the presidency and most of Congress was in the hands of what would generally be considered liberals during both WWI and WWII and much of the Cold War (you might also note that it was the Republican Nixon [who was more conservative than any Democratic president in the last 100 years even though he was certainly not as conservative as you] who opened up to Red China and negotiated "detente" with the USSR). And no, RWR did not defeat the USSR single-handedly. He just happened to be there when all the other guys pushed them and their massively inefficient and self-destructive economic system into its predestined abyss.

2. You're projecting, again. You've mixed the labels up.

3. You can only come to your conclusion if you have no idea what results are worth achieving. It's that old thing about knowing the price of everything and the value of nothing. Conservatives are dollar oriented, they value property over people and live in myths and fantasies when it comes to their ideology. We know from the words and actions of conservative leaders that they are trying to keep us in the Great Recession. Do you think that the Great Depression and the current Great Recession were exactly what conservatives were trying to achieve? Because that is what they did "achieve".

4. Conservatives seem to care about only very few parts of the Constitution, those parts that serve their values in 3. Conservatives might as well swear allegiance to the Constitution with their fingers crossed behind their backs while also ignoring it whenever it becomes an inconvenience (witness Bush v Gore, Citizens United v FEC, 1st National Bank of Boston v Bellotti, Buckley v Valeo, Southern Pacific RR v Santa Clara County, Justices Antonin Scalia's and Clarence Thomas' numerous conflicts of interest, failures to disclose and lies under oath along with their record of doing more legislating from the bench than any other justices in history, I remind you of the wireless wiretapping, the dismantling of the 1st 4th, 5th, 6th,7th, 8th and 9th Amendments not to mention completely disregarding the Preamble by conservatives almost continuously (I could go back centuries for examples). I could talk of treason by Nixon and Kissinger in 1968 that prevented an early end to the war in Vietnam and cost us the lives of over 20,000 American servicemen. I could talk about the treason in 1980 by GHWB and the Reagan team that kept 52 hostages in Iranian jails for over three months longer than necessary. This list could go on for hours. Your self-congratulatory sense of history and reality is so distorted and surrealistic as to be comical.

5. Do you never tire of projecting? This one is so completely absurd that I'm just awestruck by your audacity. Let's see, now. When was the last time liberals shot or blew up priests, nuns, teachers and nurses anywhere? When was the last time a liberal called women "feminazis"? When was the last time liberal broadcasters called a college student a slut and a prostitute and suggested she make sex videos? When was the last time liberals tried to pass laws requiring unwanted medical procedures so intrusive that they qualified by the terms of the law as rape? When was the last time a liberal threw rocks through a GOP member of Congress' office window? When was the last time a liberal entered a female member of Congress' office under false pretenses and tried to hack her phones? This one is just too, too funny.

6. I have an actual experience that may put the lie to this. I used to work as a polling place official when, as a result of a GOP lawsuit, voters had to request Repub or Dem ballots in primaries. After a while on primary day, I noticed something and commented on it to one of the Repub poll workers. I could predict about 9 out of 10 times which ballot a voter walking in would request. How? If they were laughing or smiling, they almost always requested a Dem ballot. If they were frowning or scowling, they almost invariably requested a Repub ballot.

7. You've outdone yourself on this one. In the first place, better or worse Christians? Really? According to what standard? -- their adherence to Old Testament phrases or to the words of Christ? I'd be willing to guarantee that, as you are reading this, you are violating at least one of the stoning "laws" in Leviticus even as you call on Leviticus for justification of other of your positions. I'd recommend that you leave religion out of this.

Please awaken from your self-induced hypnotic trance and regain control of your faculties. Your comment was a colossal hoot!

Diane..Bush's book helped me see exactly what the Patriot Act still does for us today. I know I didn't understand what it was or what it did until I read his book! It's there to protect each and everyone of us and I guess until one reads his book to understand it they won't know.

Wilson back in 1917-18 was one of the worst liberal progressive Presidents we ever had...what he did in this country back then was worse than what Obama is doing today but Obama is taking all the same steps Wilson did up to the point before it happened...it's like looking at a movie re-run! We have to vote him out in November!!

Carol, what is important to notice in every liberal comment here is that not one of them praises President Obama. Not one. Why is that? Because there's simply nothing to praise and many things to criticize. I find this is the case when engaging with the liberals. Instead of having credible material to support all of his him they stay in attack mode. It's called "buyer's remorse." It presents in many ways.

There's no question that Elena Kagan believes in Sharia Law. There's no question that GWB kept our country safe for 11 years by the stringent security measures he put in place. Obama left everything in place for a reason. No one, not even a liberal, can deny that. Before The Patriot Act, the terrorists came into the US as immigrants and settled among us...they are called "sleeper cell terrorists." I believe the US knows who they are and watches them. They are a very patient group. They wait for the "call" to blow themselves up taking hundreds perhaps thousands of Americans with them. Why would they do this? So that they can have the "honor" of meeting their 13 virgins. Please explain to me what kind of "religion" that is to offer 13 virgins for murdering innocent people. That's the mindset of Sharia Law only they call it "honor killing" and they'll kill their own family members. Any American who would support this behavior is simply not a true American.

They've placed themselves between a rock and a hard place supporting Obama when, in fact, many of them are disappointed in his presidency. They can't admit it. Even wih the glaring fact that 68% of Americans want ObamaCare REPEALED, they don't "get it." 68% is a huge percentage of Americans and more than suggests that this percentage is comprised of both liberals and conservatives. I believe the numbers speak to "the truth" which cannot be argued. The liberals backed a colossal loser. Obama's own democrats in the Senate are not supporting him. Bush instead of facing the hard truth about Obama.

Why keep hashing out the President Bush years....what can you change now that will bring our country back from disaster? I will help you.....defeat obama....that's how. This is the beginning of the push for Internationalism. International laws are to be instituted above the laws of any countrys domestic laws.

He has already signed agreements and treaties which supercede our laws. The UN is now in control of many things that Americans never had a vote on.

This is an excellent topic of discussion and needs to be discussed in order to be understood. CarolD you hit a homerun. It matters not that you had a few disgrunted liberal posts. What matters the most is that you presented the truth. Many Care 2 members are "on the fence" politically. They are the Americans we are trying to reach with the truth. The closed minded liberals are a waste of our time. They aren't worth reaching however those Americans who know President Obama has failed will want to now do their own research and read the words you have posted here. The luster has worn thin where Obama is concerned. He has very few friends in the White House and even fewer outside the White House. There's a reason for that. Obama is in a deep dark place IMO. Even the Senate knows that now.

Goodness I do have to Chirp in here because it is gone off the Subject in Hate directions all over this and I am actually Shocked and Dismayed at the VICIOUS ATTACKS to another Care2 to members...while most of the people that are being downright nasty to people Yanking them around like a bully does to a dog on a leash some of you are, or I have noted your news and left a polite comment.But, then I did see you came back when it took a turn on attack...on my friends list and I was shocked to find out I had a friend that had such Hate for another person that didn't have the same beliefs/way of thinking as YOU!. Never ever have I have ever resorted to this type of TRASH TALK when I note or leave a comment on your news I stay ON THE NEWS AT SITE and while I don't agree I have never ATTACKED YOU FOR POSTING WHAT I also may feel isn't such REAL NEWS, but have been very careful never to attack the person that posted THEIR NEWS. Norm, my wife met Maui on another site before the election in 08 ..... she did indeed speak out against Bush many times in those sites. The internet is a huge world. The fact that the patriot act is still in effect IS OBAMA'S FAULT NOW ..... ALL OBAMA .....

The time for you folks to keep blaming Bush has come and gone and all you do by bringing that up is try and divert attention from the mess you now have in this current administration. Obama never knew his arse from a hole in the ground to begin with. MOST INEXPERIENCED PRESIDENT EVER ELECTED and America, YOUR COUNTRY is paying a huge price for all of it.

This is about your country. It is about what you as a citizen has to do to correct the mess that has invaded your political arena years ago and YOU the VOTERS allowed to fester. Both sides of the aisle are corrupted but your biggest problem is the spending.

Cam, Barack Obama has scammed our country. He is a dangerous narcissist and he doesn't give a flip about Americans in poverty or anything else. The elitist he is, his answer is to throw more food stamps at them and treat with with disrespect. The reason he is a loner in the White House is because most have figured out that Obama is anti-American. They've distanced themselves from him because they all have elections to win in November. Obama will more than likely not use any of his campaign donations to go to their states and promote them....he simply doesn't care about anyone but himself. Obama doesn't care about the debt, Cam, he never has because that is part of his plan to destroy our country, a country he loathes. Obama loves Obama and that is where his love ends.

Amercans elected an evil person to the highest office in our country and now they have to give him his walking papers in November. Obama promoting Elena Kagan is all about his dark side which thrives on creating chaos and unrest among the masses and spitting on our Constitution. It's all a game for Obama.

Barack Hussein Obama reinvented himelf in his books....and probably laughs that so many Americans ate it up....and, yes, Cam,, he had NO experience, no past history....and articles that show Obama's in a negative tone are continuously scrubbed from the web. I have many saved links that no longer can be found on the internet. It's all very scary. It's unnatural and it's creepy. Each time Obama has failed he has blamed Bush....that's how a narcissist reacts....it's never their fault.

Carol, this is one of the best threads I have read in the public sector of Care 2 in so long. I appreciate all that you have presented. I discovered about 3 days ago that I have spent 3 1/2 years (approximately) under the leadership of Obama and I have visibly seen a lot that failure but through that I was gathering an impression of the man but still did not know much about him; after all, he has done an excellent job of hiding his past from the public. It only took an excellent post by Diane O as a "book report, so to speak" of his book Dreams From My Father to peak my curiosity to try and see what I could find out about him.

We hear the word racist thrown at the Republican Party but what is sad is that the liberals have missed the mark, the true racist is Obama himself.

As I began to research him I discovered the truth of the fact that "you are known by the company you keep" and what I discovered about Barack and Michelle Obama is frightening, actually. In studying them I discovered that they are surrounded by advisers (many of whom have been friends since college days) that are American Communists; Obama's maternal grandparents and his mother subscribed to the teachings of communism and he, himself, advocates much of the philosophy and teachings of communism.

Examples of where he has gained his position on economics is from Cloward-Piven, both admitted to using the Marxist socialist philosophy for developing their economic theory. Axelrod, Jones, Jarrett, Ayers, Carl Davidson, Frank Marshall Davis, Anita Dunn, Jodie Evans, Sam Graham-Felsen, Gregory Galluzzo, Patrick Gaspard, Mike Klonsky, Mike Kruglik John L. McKnight -- Socialist Student Of Alinsky, Saul Mendelson, Linda Rae Murray, Joel Rogers, Quentin Young, and Rev. Jeremiah Wright -- Black Marxist, just to name some. They represent the Who's Who of American Communists and these are the very people that are advising our President at this time.

This sent a very disturbing message to me and I hope that it will open the eyes of everyone, including the liberals that have determined that this man is above reproach.

All I can say is that there is absolutely nothing that G. W. Bush Jr. did in his entire 8 years in the White House that compares with what Obama has done in the 3 years and 3 months of his term of office and when you look closely at the philosophy he has set out in his own books, you will see that he is positioning the U.S. for it's demise as a Constitutional Republic and setting us up for a form of government that I, for one, cannot accept. We need to wake up while we still have a chance to do so and stop this movement away from our Constitution.

This started out as a thread dealing with Kagan, but it is important to realize that she is sympathetic to the liberal leaning and also that she is and has been very close to Obama, doing a lot of work on Obamacare. Thus, we are known by the company we keep.

I want everyone to know that we do have our problems here in Canada as well. Socialism is the biggest one but we have taken steps to turn it around last spring. The choice is yours as citizens to take responsibility and kick all the bums out or watch your country race further down the road of economic disaster.

However it can be done she needs to go....the best thing that could happen is Obama found to be a usurper (which we all know he is) and kick him out thus everything he signed and anyone in any position that he put them in would be null and void!!

CarolD, Obama didn't win by a landslide in 2008 and we know he has lost a percentage of the black community votes as well as a large percentage of female independent votes. They know by now that Obama has been all talk and no delivery. Obama has his own agenda and that explains why he is conidered a loner in the White House. There will be many books written after this election whether he wins or loses which will reveal who he really is.

Thank you to everyone who did not turn this in to a race baiting thread and for speaking out about Sharia Law. When we have a Supreme Court Judge agreeing with this law, then we really have lots of work to do.

BTW I don't think Norm or any other supporter of the left wing agenda can address the issues that we face today. The best they can do is to go back to GW and point the finger of blame during his administration. Which btw, I think he handled well.
The real thing to notice about the left is that they cannot address the issues that Obama has put in front of us these past three years. They don't know how!
Iraq is a free country today. Freed by the GW Bush. Liberated and free. The only real mistake that I see that GW made was to not handle the housing issue before he left. He left it on the table for the incoming president whoever that would have been. That it was Obama was unfortunate for us all. Obama has plunged this country into such excessive debt and poverty that we would have to elect several generations of conservatives to fix it! Not to mention his racial divisions that he and Holder have thrown us into.
The best argument you will get from people like Norm is to read his ad hominem calling those of us who are addressing the issues, "loonies" and doing as Obama does and pointing the finger of blame without any rhyme or reason.
Norm has not the slightest idea of what is going on in this country. If he did, he'd be as worried as the rest of us.

I realize that lefties absolutely cannot stand the slightest intimation that anything that Obama or his appointees do could be wrong or dangerous. Although I voted for the man, and have been a life-long Democrat and left-leaning liberal in many respects, I am very discouraged that people here on this thread and elsewhere on CAIR2, are so dogmatic and doctrinaire that they can't see what's in plain sight.

It is an outrage to me that my president bowed deeply to the Saudi king. And everything he's done since then -- his MAJOR GOAL for NASA being OUTREACH TO MUSLIMS, his shame of America he proclaimed to the world, his giving of 1.3 Billion dollars to the Egyptian government knowing that it is going to be run by Islamists, his appointment of numerous Muslim Brotherhood people to important positions, his far too numerous slips of "I am a Muslim", his false painting of Indonesia as a tolerant country when Muslims have harassed, murdered Christians and others and destroyed hundreds of churches, violated religious rights of others, and the whitewashing of the Muslim Brotherhood as a "democratic, liberal, human rights" organization is outrageous. That this piece shows yet how much more widespread his support for Islam is, SHOULD NOT come as a surprise to anyone who knows anything about Islam and Obama's ties to it.

It took courage to post this, Carol, especially knowing that there's a contingent of people so close-minded who would automatically attack you and others for it. They would not know an Islamist threat unless someone threw a burqa over their heads or cut of their clits -- and they'd probably still make an excuse for the people who did it.

Thanks again for posting it, especially knowing their is a hostile, close-minded contingent just waiting in the wings to attack and criticize. We've got to let people know the danger, even if they don't want to hear it.

If Sharia Law was so great, then why is Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, >>and the list goes on, the way they are today? Clearly not enough people have been put away. I hope that most people on this site realize that the far liberal left when they have no answers to a challenge they attack the messenger. They think if they call the messenger dirty names or some name that insult their integraty, that the person will no longer post for all to see. or they will keep repeating a word like troll thinking that the unsuspecting will listen and ignore that person. They are wrong as everyone even the liberal has first amendment rights and until Obama makes the constitution immaterial we should all keep expressing our first amendment rights.
In fact I hope everyone on this blog will write their next letter on this subject to both of their US Senators, I just did, so welcome to the crowd. let our representatives know we love our country and it will never become governed by Sharia Law.
